thank you for the quick and thorough response!
Cheers!
Found it, need to get a SSL cert. Thanks you can delete
Thank you, I have added it.
Add Ajax pop up full width PLEASE
If possible something like this: http://demo.rocknrolladesigns.com/wp/jarvis/callouts/#portfolio
class=”grid-content”
Is it Grid-content where I would make changes?
Definitely vote for Mailchimp (if its either or vs. Constant contact)
I would like to see more CSS options for displaying portfolio items in grid…
Thanks!
Follow up I guess I should ask, Is the dummy data updated in line with the Demo Enfold site?
I can select all the pages and posts and portfolio items etc and delete them manually and upload dummy data again, no?
Thanks for the interim solution! Can I change what the post slider image links to? Or does it have to go to the post itself always?
Appreciate it!
You know if you just linked a pastebin to some of the other theme’s dummy versions that would be fine too…If I had the content for it, I’d have a video popup but I dont have enough videos :( so Im gonna have to code something…
I’ve found some “plugins” but I was hoping for theme styles (or the theme admin to be able to let me style) it…
Im very close to buying the carofredsel’s WP plugin http://dev7studios.com/caroufredsel/ but I dont want to have to start from “scratch” at styling it….I may just bite the bullet.
Thoughts?
haha… indeed IE8 would have a problem.
I’d be curious what those “automatic” shrinking programs do, that photoshop could not.
Also, about media queries to replace photos, indeed I believe that would not resolve the “size” issue (even make it worse), but if LAYOUT is a concern it could resolve changing the picture for different media sizes….
Thanks!
One could do that with media queries?

….you can enter your own custom buttons CSS (replace theirs)
http://css-tricks.com/examples/ButtonMaker/#
I used the color swatches from this: http://designmodo.github.io/Flat-UI/
worked great (just dont make a gradient…(for the purposes of that generator use same for top and bottom color)
June 8, 2013 at 12:02 am in reply to: [Wish List] Any plans to add "Flat Buttons" or "Parrallax"? #123669Yes but I edited in that removing that does make it go “flat” but the flat UI does indeed have a hover change…maybe reversing the current hover event would do it? instead of making it lighter or vanish like they have it now, make it appear or darken as you hover?
I think you’d have to make that png the full size of the button not just a kind of top down “bubble” effect…
Enfold?
June 7, 2013 at 11:34 pm in reply to: [Wish List] Any plans to add "Flat Buttons" or "Parrallax"? #123667I kind of like the parralax section in that link I found…I think its done in the colored section settings…
I know what you mean, some themes have a “flat” css version built in….I kind of like this flat design, http://designmodo.github.io/Flat-UI/ and there are some themes that specialize in it.
For arguments sake the css for the buttons is here, and i believe removing that background image gives the “Flat” effect to all the buttons:
body div .avia-button {
background-image: url(“/themes/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/layout/bg-button.png”);
background-position: 0 0;
background-repeat: repeat-x;
border-radius: 3px 3px 3px 3px;
border-style: solid;
border-width: 1px;
display: inline-block;
font-size: 12px;
font-weight: 600;
line-height: 1.2em;
margin: 3px 0;
max-width: 100%;
padding: 10px;
position: relative;
text-align: center;
text-decoration: none;
}
Would one change it to this (adding it to quick css or whatever its called for enfold):
body div .avia-button {
background-image: none !important;}
Enfold Team can we get a ruling? :)
Of course then you’d need some kind of ohover selector to lighten (or darken it) or change the color to what you want? maybe a transparent png?
body div .avia-button:hover {???
June 7, 2013 at 10:39 pm in reply to: [Wish List] Any plans to add "Flat Buttons" or "Parrallax"? #123665What kind of parallax section do you mean? it has something like that here:
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio-item/vimeo-video/
And of course it has layerslider…which has great parallax ability….
And, by flat button, that’s kind of a theme style issue, but I bet you could find a plugin to give you that style choice.
Thank you! this is a very interesting feature, would there possibly be a video tutorial coming, my main questions at this point are regarding the use of shortcodes specifically of layer slider in the editable section? Any restrictions there? If I dont use the main “gallery” feature will that open up the entire section to me to do what I wish with?
Would this be the same thing? http://kriesi.at/themes/flagship/template-files/portfolio-4-columns/
Sorry I just wanted to edit my original post but I passed the time-limit. I tried the text-align:center and it worked this time, i added that styling to a heading class and put the image inside of it….like this:
<h4 style="text-align: center;">Canine<br /><img src="http://alpha.johnpaulpet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/dog.png" /></h4>
Which can be seen here, http://alpha.johnpaulpet.com/ and please, this is a draft of a draft….no judging, but I will take constructive advice! :)
First of all the new tutorial is perfect, and in fact I had done very much the same thing .with the info “Dude” had given me….
I’m now playing around with adding more html and styles, but I wanted to ask, my current task is trying to center the image and text in the area that’s created, Ive tried a few methods such as margin 0 Auto, and wrapping it with a text-align: center <p>…thoughts?
AND how would you handle the placement of where it drops down from the nav bar itself? (mine is 5 main nav items and sometimes it drops down far away from the menu item)
Thanks so much!
Great! Perfect! Thank you this is very good news!
Great! I missed this response. Thank you for your help and advice!
I am not a developer but I can read “how to” websites VERY well! And, I have the luxury of time.
:)
.main_color .heading-color, .main_color h1, .main_color h2, .main_color h3, .main_color h4, .main_color h5, .main_color h6, .main_color .sidebar .current_page_item > a, .main_color .sidebar .current-menu-item > a, .main_color .pagination .current, .main_color .pagination a:hover, .main_color strong.avia-testimonial-name, .main_color .heading, .main_color .toggle_content strong, .main_color .toggle_content strong a, .main_color .tab_content strong, .main_color .tab_content strong a, .main_color .asc_count, .main_color .avia-testimonial-content strong, .main_color div .news-headline {
color: #MYFAVORITECOLOR; !SUPERDUPERIMPORTANT
}
I am? I believe what you cited is what I was calling attention to in the picture? Regardless, when I shut that color “off” in firebug in the color of his text reverted to his preference. Fixed?
Couldn’t he just copy that code, put the color he wants and important, and done?
Thanks!
What’s the setting that controls all of these selectors? anchor (link) highlights? When I turn that color “off” in firebug, we get the color you prefer.
Wow great idea — drop down search filtering — love it! But, wouldn’t a interactive map be more visual? Sorry I always look for ways to replace text with or at least mixed with a visual aid (people are naturally drawn to pictures versus text).
Thanks!
June 1, 2013 at 2:47 pm in reply to: Mega Menu works on laptop screen but not on ipad or iphone #122645Oh wow you can setup a megamenu with this theme?! Can you add any html into it? Sorry little off topic, I’ll start another topic.
Great job on the seamless logo sliding effect. Very nice.
Wow. absolutely excellent and generous response. Worked perfectly. (though I have not tested with a header.php or functions.php edit.)
Thank you for this assistance!
