Could you try to upload a clean version of the theme, to see if that helps please?

Customising the button element to include an extra field for your requirements would be out of scope of theme support. If you need that functionality, then please hire a freelancer to develop it for you.

If you are using the Masonry element, then you can select to hide the sorting options in the Sorting tab in the element options.
