June 4, 2018 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Last post update: where to add code snippet for it in loop-index? #966491
works fine, thank you.
The problem is a wrong translation in the German ENFOLD.
This causes, that in my German ENFOLD I have only TWO (!) blog layout options instead of THREE, where I can choose from.
I do not have a “modern business”.But in another thread Ismael had pointed to this issue and provided a fix: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/single-post-does-not-look-like-demo-on-a-fresh-installation/#post-966318
As far as I can see now, this fix worked and you can now close this ticket, too.
Thanks.Hi Ismael,
the problem is here the wrong and missing translation of ENFOLD German like you had described here:
With your solution there, I can modifiy it now by my own, I hope.
Thanks for the moment, I always appreciate your perfect support and ideas, Ismael!
You can close this ticket, because I think this issue is only caused by the missing THIRD blog layout option :-)June 4, 2018 at 8:49 am in reply to: Single Post does not look like demo on a fresh installation #966366OKAY, thank you, Ismael … now I understand … I translated it like this with LOCO TRANSLATE:
and now I have indeed THREE blog layouts available:
OMG … and I searched now for days, why my blog layouts never work like the demos :-(
Would be great, if you can fix this with the next update – for now it worked for me with your translation suggestion.
Thanks a lot, Ismael, you saved my day :-)very strange, that does not work – please see private data
June 3, 2018 at 12:46 pm in reply to: GDPR / Google Web Fonts Replacement / Host Google Webfonts locally #966115Hm, don’t know …
But the ZIP file that you download from Google and upload with the Custom Font Manager of Google contains all font weights or respectively those that you have collected at Google fonts for that specific font:In ENFOLD 4.4 theme settings -> Import/Export you upload the ZIP:
And for different Headlines, texts or whatever, you define a
font-weight: 400;
or something like that in that specific CSS class.
June 2, 2018 at 9:02 pm in reply to: GDPR / Google Web Fonts Replacement / Host Google Webfonts locally #965971I define the weight via CSS class – and there is no difference.
June 2, 2018 at 8:22 pm in reply to: GDPR / Google Web Fonts Replacement / Host Google Webfonts locally #965963why do you think that does not work via the Custom Font Manager in ENFOLD 4.4?
I cannot see any difference in displaying the fonts …May 31, 2018 at 12:52 pm in reply to: (German) DSGVO – Deutschland, Datenschutz, Google Fonts, Google Maps, YouTube #964756@tiefenschaerfe
in ENFOLD 4.4 is a custom font manager, where you can upload your desired Google fonts, that you can download from fonts.google.com
then at the theme settings at “general styling” -> fonts you can choose those uploaded fonts, then the connection to Google server is disabled.See more info here: https://kriesi.at/archives/enfold-4-4-and-the-gdpr-general-data-protection-regulation
May 31, 2018 at 10:16 am in reply to: Single Post does not look like demo on a fresh installation #964708you have the same settings and it does not look the same???
Have you switched to enabled and disabled and back again and every time make a fresh reload on the site (CTR SHIFT R)?And the solution in my case??
okay, thank you
okay, thanks, but if no theme files are changed, could you please tell me, how you achieve in the medical demo the post layout
Featured Image Title Date - Category - Author Content
“Default Blog” (see demo here) has
Title Category Featured Image Content Date - Comments - Author
and “elegant” blog looks completely different.
So how have you got the layout of the Medical demo without changing any theme files?
Default blog and elegant blog do not produce this post layout.See demo here: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-medical/2016/07/15/a-nice-post-2/
Hi @VSG_DE,
could you please tell me what you have changed in loop-index.php, I have the same problem and would like to achieve the same layout of a post.
Thanks!May 29, 2018 at 9:19 pm in reply to: Since ENFOLD 4.4: cannot add RETURN in "text" tab of a ALB text block #963945Yes, sad … but why has it worked for me in ENFOLD v4.3?
It occurs at my end with v4.4And: Advanced Custom Fields is really an important plugin, that lots of us are using, and I urgently need it, too:
May 26, 2018 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Since ENFOLD 4.4: cannot add RETURN in "text" tab of a ALB text block #962542Thanks, Mike, but Advanced Custum Field is not just “any plugin”.
What “features” should I “request”?
It is just an issue, that plain text tab in ALB editor don’t work. And in the other threads I mentioned, I am not the only person having this issue.
I gave you the login data, but no one has yet logged in. So how did you know that it cannot be fixed???? I don’t understand what you mean … I run ENFOLD 4.4
May 24, 2018 at 9:52 pm in reply to: GDPR + ENFOLD 4.4: how to disable Google Fonts at all? How to use own fonts? #961854Thank you, Olaf.
With question no. 2 I mean how to use my custom uploaded fonts for example for quotes?May 24, 2018 at 3:53 pm in reply to: Since ENFOLD 4.4: cannot add RETURN in "text" tab of a ALB text block #961603This seems to be a known issue for years now – together with “Advanced Custom Fields” plugin.
If I disable this plugin, then all is fine. Using Firefox Quantum with WIN 10 prof. Desktop.
No error in the developer tools of Firefox -> Console.
SHIFT + RETURN is also not working.as well as
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-theme-causes-errors/
But this plugin is really necessary for me.
This fix does not work for me:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-theme-causes-errors/#post-491470Isn’t there any newer fix or update for this issue please?
May 24, 2018 at 12:54 pm in reply to: GDPR + ENFOLD 4.4: how to disable Google Fonts at all? How to use own fonts? #961506@ (1)
Thanks, but I have different font-weights in my ZIP?@ (2) and my second question?
May 21, 2018 at 8:20 pm in reply to: ENFOLD + GDPR: new WordPress update's tools for privacy? #959935great, thank you, I will wait until this.
Has Basilis not announced a theme updated concerning this and other GDPR features for ENFOLD until May 25 in another thread?
concerning the Google fonts, here a post from Guenni007:
I haven’t tried it yet, but it seems to be a good workaround for ENFOLD.
May 8, 2018 at 6:11 pm in reply to: (German) DSGVO – Deutschland, Datenschutz, Google Fonts, Google Maps, YouTube #953490thanks for the ZIP, but I do not understand what you mean with
by the way: if the fonts are activated manually – you can use the enfold options as well – the classes are set and css rules are set as before. Only activation of the fonts must be done manually via local install
What do I need to do exactly please?
May 2, 2018 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Please read – Regarding Wordfence LayerSlider warning on Enfold 4.0.3 #950074Don’t shout that loud :-D
https://newrepublic.com/article/117390/netiquette-capitalization-how-caps-became-code-yellingYou DO have fullscreen slider on top of your page with “monster” images in it – no wonder, that your site is loading that slow – look at your source code :-)
May 1, 2018 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Please read – Regarding Wordfence LayerSlider warning on Enfold 4.0.3 #949545you have “Monster” images inside your Layerslider, one image (http://www.extraeyesphototours.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/GJ3A2282-Edit1.jpg) has nearly 1 MB …just for ONE image.
I would first try to reduce them in their dimensions and especially in their file size!
April 29, 2018 at 8:39 am in reply to: ENFOLD 4.3: how to show categories in ALB element "postslider"? #948564Hi,
when you say “the filter is there” (where?), why do I need then the code from the thread? Is it obsolete now with v4.3?
April 25, 2018 at 6:34 pm in reply to: ENFOLD 4.3: function for adding own Google font causes error #946755The first one works fine, thanks a lot!
March 27, 2018 at 11:34 am in reply to: MultilingualPress language switcher in ENFOLD header widget area #933581It works perfectly, thank you so much, Ismael!!!!!
March 27, 2018 at 11:18 am in reply to: MultilingualPress & ENFOLD – compatible? Experiences? #933572Update:
YES, it works perfectly! I tried it out now and tested it – works!I always love being independent from plugins – you never know, how long they will be maintained in the future, especially a problem with translation plugins.
MultilingualPress is based on the multisite function of WP – and since I already use a multisite, this was the perfect solution. The plugin itself is FREE (!), only the premium support is not free, but the free forum does it well, too.
It works – even with ENFOLD’s AdvancedLayoutBuilder; the only thing you need to do is, turn on the debug mode of ALB (https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/).
Then when you edit a post or page, you simply copy the complete code from the debug area below the post/page and paste it in the editor area at the very bottom of the post/page, where the translation happens.
And when you go to the English counterpart of your post/page, then the only thing you must do, is click on the “Advanced Layout Editor” button … and tatataaaa … you have all ALB elements also in your translation.
And for the language switch, this shortcode from Ismael works perfectly:
