    We have found out that the issue is related to translation in Dutch language files. We have fixed the issue and will include it in upcoming version.

    You can download fixed language files here – https://www.mediafire.com/file/i3mgmj4xjrz1vdw/nl_NL.zip/file. Please unzip and then upload nl_NL.po and nl_NL.mo files inside /wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/ folder via FTP. If you need assistance, please post FTP logins here privately and we will update the files for you :)

    Hi,

    Thanks for the heads up! We will fix the translation in upcoming version :)

    We have added “Enfold WPML Language Flags” option to disable WPML flags in Enfold theme options > Header > Extra Elements tab. I just edited your theme options and disabled them. Please review your website :)

    Edit: I just checked the most recent language files and it seems like translation was corrected already “Theme Erweiterungen” :)

    Thanks for reporting the issue!

    Apparently those strings are wrongly translated or duplicated. We are going to fix those strings and include them in upcoming version.

    If you would like to fix them on your installation, please use this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ and fix the translations of the elements. I attached screenshots from original English version in private content field below :)

    I tried logging in without a password but it did not work for me.
    We have updated French language files and will include them in upcoming update. There was a translation issue so I think this might be related to it.

    Could you please download the latest version of French language files here – https://www.mediafire.com/file/8whnpckt8xrxhrz/fr_FR.zip/file and upload them inside /wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/ folder and check if that helps? :)

    My apologies for delaying in my response.
    My site is not on-line yet. I have been working on it in my local development environment (XAMPP), so I cannot grant you access to it.
    However, I got some screenshots and I am making them available to you in a ftp server. Please hek your credentials in the Private area.
    On screenshot 1 file, the texts in yellow are the ones that were not translated and need translation and the text circled in red was translated correctly. On screenshot file 2, all the texts in yellow were not translated and need translation.
    This site is exactly the “Enfold Church Demo” with color and content change, but the structure is quite the same.
    Both cases depicted on screenshot 1 and 2 files are the “Upcoming Events” and “Events Countdown” widgets respectively provided by the theme.

    We are sorry for the late reply!

    When I logged in, I switched profile language to English so we were unable to locate the issue but when I switched profile language back to French, I found out “Show all products” option was missing due to translation error. I installed Loco Translate plugin and translated “Show only hidden products” string as “Afficher uniquement les produits cachés” using Google Translate and now option shows up correctly.

    Could you please confirm if translation is correct so we can update French language file in upcoming version?

    Hello friends:
    I am putting together a website for a Customer (this is still in my local development environment). I am using the “Enfold Church Demo” which has installed the Events Calendar Plugin.
    Since me and my customer are in Brazil, I needed to get everything translated to Portuguese, and in order to do that I used the Loco Translate plugin.
    This plugin has worked perfectly, except that it will not translate the texts that go in the widgets, like “Upcoming Events” and “Events Countdown”.
    Can you please provide me some hints on where to locate the files that contain all the texts that go in the wodget so that I can get them manualy translated ?

    Besides that, why isn’t there an option for a special modern heading, aligned left?

    You could remove the plugin after editing the string, you do not need to keep it. You can alternatively use Poedit – https://poedit.net/.

    If you do not mind sharing correct translation of “Please enable this feature in your browser settings and reload the page.” text in German, I can update the string and forward to our devs so it can be included in upcoming version :)

    Thanks for the logins. I always switch user language to English when I login so I did not find the issue at first but I realized both sites with the issue are in French. Issue is related to translation. Both “Display Tabs above content” and “Display Tabs below content” translated as “Afficher les onglets à gauche” so one of the option is missing in French.

    You can use this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ and update the strings correctly.

    Could you please let us know correct translation so we can update language files in upcoming version?

    Translation was incorrect in DE formal. I installed Loco Translate plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ and updated the string to “Sie sind hier:” and then deleted the plugin.

    We will update the string in upcoming version.

    Although the translation percentage is 100% now, there are still a lot of ‘untranslatable’ strings, especially in the Enfold Theme Options. Why are lot’s of those items not available in Loco Translate?

    @fcp I was looking into this and realised some “Google” services translated as “Mailchimp” in French translation. I corrected them and we will include it updated language file in upcoming version.

    You can insert Google Maps API key in that field. Please ignore “Mailchimp” in description :)

    Thank you for the update.

    The translations for the default privacy texts are going to be included in the upcoming version of the theme. For now, you can use the beta version and update the language files if you want to get it fixed immediately and not wait for the patch. Please check the private field for the beta version and the language files.

    Hi Marc,

    Enfold includes both de_DE and de_DE_formal language files and the one you choose for language in Settings > General should be activated.

    We would like to translate the Enfold theme to Nynorsk, one of the two written forms of Norwegian. If we create a translation, would it be possible for you to include the translation in upcoming versions of the theme, so that we do not have to include it in a child theme every time it is needed?

    This is a good hint and it works for the colors in the enfold backend. But in my case this is not the solution, because you set the menu links and I have a problem with linked image overlays. I have a german version. Maybe the translation doesn´t fit. You find it here:
    – extended styling
    – various
    – linked image overlay

    @enfold    : This is a method to set transparent colors works, but the preview doesn´t show the color correctly in the backend. This is a display issue. Maybe you insert in a upcoming enfold theme update the possibility to set transparent colors correctly. I see only hexa and hsb.

    Conclusion
    I want to get rid of two things:

    • image overlay grey color (NOT hover)
    • button obove (for a equal padding)

    2) Testsettings. You can only edit the hover color, the symbol color and the symbol bg

    3) Result. Left is hover. Right is the overlay, that I want get rid of.

    Enfold is not fully translated to Spanish yet. We rely on user contributions and we’ve not received fully translated language files (po/mo files) from our community yet. You can use a plugin like Loco ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ ) to translate the remaining text strings. We’re always happy to include updated language/translation files in upcoming theme updates.

    Hello,

    I tried to translate the countdown with “hours”, “minutes”, “weeks” etc. within the “Upcoming events”-widget and ALB element into German via Poedit, but these words are not included there. Then I tried via events_countdown.php (here I was able to change the word “Upcoming”“), but no chance to change the times in there as well.

    I would love to realize this without any plugin and also all changes to remain save upon update. Is this this possible? Can you help me with this issue? Would be awesome!

    @pibull_germany most likely all translations will be included in the upcoming updates. Translations are kind of teamwork done by the community. It is pretty normal that new versions lack some translations because the community seldom uses beta versions or release candidates. They start as soon as the new version has launched and the missing words are spotted.
