    Hello, I was watching the screener video: Demo 3:Setting up a page, changing the layout and adding a slideshow with images and video, and I noticed that Slideshow does not appear below the text block when I want to add a new page or post.

    What can I do?, thanks

    In reply to: Color section

    What background image do you mean? I don’t use one. It’s just that with the picture on the left and the text on the right, the text gets very close to the edge of the box. That’s my point: I used a color section and added two 1/2 columns in it but they don’t align right.

    In reply to: Color section

    Got it wrong… :) Color section shouldn’t work within columns (in builder you can’t drag it to a column). Try setting the background image to strechted.

    Working fine here: http://pcawp.portalservices.de/

    Topic: Shadow on boxed layout

    in forum Enfold

    Hi,

    Just read this thread – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/wrap-box-shadow – because I wanted a shadow on my boxed layout as well. The thread said that it was impossible when using a background image. Well, I tried and indeed it doesn’t work with an uploaded background image. What I did then is this: upload a custom background image into the ‘images’ –> ‘background-images’ folder of the theme via ftp. Now I can chose my custom background in the theme options and still have a working shadow. Although you have to use ‘repeat’ and not ‘stretch’ for the latter will break it again. Learning as I go.

    Probably already figured out by you guys but in case that you have not… ;-)

    Thanks for posting the additional fix :)

    Regards,

    Devin

    I figured out 1 & 2 but I need to add some padding so that they don’t butt up right next to each other.

    #122495

    Hey Chris,

    About mid way through this video on using the Advanced Layout Editor I make an example of that effect: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927358

    Its just a fixed image in a color section but that should help you create it :)

    Devin

    I think I can now handle it by deactivating the prettyphoto lightbox at the avia.js:

    //activates the prettyphoto lightbox

    //if($.fn.avia_activate_lightbox)

    //$(‘body’).avia_activate_lightbox();

    I’m not sure if this will gives trouble at the portfolio or other sections.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I noticed that the Justified image grid plugin with the Enfold gives a conflict with avia.js and when a photo is requested from a gallery, the social media icons do not display.

    Is there a work around for this issue please?

    Thanks a lot!

    Is there a way to add some padding to the portfolio pages as well so that the featured images don’t butt up right next to each other?

    So…i’ve done everything I could to get this portfolio looking right.

    The thumbnails pictures are at 180 x 180.

    I put this code

    [av_portfolio categories='11' columns='4' items='8' contents='title' preview_mode='custom' image_size='no scaling' linking='' sort='yes' paginate='yes']

    AND the image sizes are still bigger than 180×180…. whats the ‘no scaling’ for then?…..this is crazy.

    Help please.

    hello,

    i’m having a tough time replicating the full-width parallax background effect that’s in the middle of this page:

    i’ts the part with the header “THE OFFICE” with a subtext.

    this page is not part of the demo content so i’m not sure how to achieve this component.

    your help will be greatly appreciated.

    thx…chris

    1. How can I change the dimensions of the featured portfolio images? Basically when I’m looking at the full portfolio I want to make each featured image more rectangular then square.

    2. Is there also a way to remove the titles of each project and the little white arrow? I just want it to show pictures.

    #122297

    No, not really… :D

    I just uploaded the most recent version and stripped out all of the css changes in this thread and the original issue seems to be fixed in both FF and Chrome.

    I can’t see a way to do it with that layout. It is possible in a static html layout or if you were doing a layout from scratch specifically for it but the only method I’ve read about wouldn’t work in this instance at all.

    What you could do, is Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    @media screen and (max-width: 900px){
    #top.page-id-60 #av_section_1 {
    background-image: none !important;
    }
    }

    Adjust the 900px number to whatever pixel width you want the background image to be removed or replace the background image with a different one so that it didn’t have the same size image.

    See: http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_background-image.asp

    Hello Ismael,

    Sorry, different site: http://dure.ballmedia.com

    Problem shows on the homepage in Safari. The 3 linked logos directly under the slider. When mousing over the first time, the text jumps down a few pixels. The left and right logos also move ever-so-slightly as well. Looks like the background image moves down slightly too. Works fine in Firefox.

    Any solutions?

    #122296

    Thank

    You are a super genius

    Sincerely

    #122394

    Yes, I think there is a small problem too. While experimenting with the home page, I’ve also added a Color Section to the very end enabling the “parallax”-effect (fixed bgr). Doesn’t stick only to Mac users… :)

    Image was displayed, but when I scrolled down, the footer began to flicker. At the end of the page the background image was gone (white bgr). Didn’t dive into that, because I won’t use that effect at the end of a page (pretty much useless). :)

    But for now it seems to be gone on my installation. I’m still using 1.4.

    Have a look here (the section won’t be there for long): http://pcawp.portalservices.de/ – maybe you can figure something out by yourself…

    Update: Changed position and some really Chrome-specific things are going on… I’ll try to change scroll-behaviour on Chrome…

    Hey Ismael,

    since the topic was closed and this morning I faced the same issue with a new page I just created I repost the content here:

    The page this time is

    http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/what-we-do/one-to-one-consulting/

    the code you told me to insert in the custom CSS field for the homepage was:

    .home #av_section_3 {

    z-index: 0;

    }

    I tried inspecting the part on this newly created page (http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/what-we-do/one-to-one-consulting/), yet don’t know which specific code should I insert for this page.

    Can you help?

    (here’s the text of the previous issue, now solved) It’s been a couple of days that a strange behavior occurred to my homepage.

    I used to have a background image placed in the “color section” of the Avia builder, fixed and streched to fit. Suddenly a couple of days ago it stopped showing on Chrome, whereas it is still clearly visible on Firefox, Safari and IE9.

    Not only that, up until today the strange behavior happened only when viewing the page on my Macbook Air, whereas it was still visible on my iMac, so I thought it was something wrong with my laptop. In fact, I decided to uninstall and reinstall Chrome, yet this didn’t solve the problem.

    To my big surprise though, this morning the same thing started happening with Chrome on my iMac, so I can’t understand why, nor how to fix it and if any of you by chance can view it correctly using Chrome with a Mac.

    The url is http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/ and if you scroll down the page, you should see a section with 3 Icon boxes (“Any Questions”, “Need Support”, “How About A Chat”) embedded in a background image of an old man laughing…can you see that?

    Again, it works fine on all major browsers except for Chrome on both my iMac and Macbook Air (but it used to be perfect until a few days ago), whereas it works on Chrome on my Sony Vaio!

    Any clue?

    PS: Funniest thing is, if I go to the “About” page, where I placed another such image background, I can view it perfectly on Chrome on both Macs: see http://vacationrentalsecrets.com/about/ , so the problem is only with the homepage, yet it is “the” homepage!

    #122295

    Option:

    1. Edit your Home page in builder mode.

    2. Add the layout element “Color Section” and edit it. Set your image as background.

    3. Have a look on your home page. Check the height.

    4. Add a Text Block to your Color Section and enter in Text mode: <div style=”height:25px;”></div>

    Video: http://www.screenr.com/KCHH

    With this method you don’t need to touch any of the theme files.

    Have fun!

    In reply to: Header Border (bottom)

    Hi,

    Terribly sorry for the delay, my mistake.

    I looked at your images but they really don’t tell me what code to manipulate. Instead lets take a look at the theme demo site kriesi.at/themes/enfold (your site would be een better since otherwise I would have to rebuild your entire site and with this theme there is always more than one way to make something.

    It looks like you are showing the border of the main content area with the header area on top and with the footer area on the bottom. And the last image shows a fatter bottom border. Alright. So you want

    1) bottom line to be lighter OR have a drop shadow that comes on top of the footer in order to put footer in back. I can make the line any color you want but as to whether the effect you are looking for is achieved I don’t know (since I am not sure what you are trying to do, sorry)

    #top .footer_color {
    border-color: rgba(234, 234, 241, 0.56);
    }

    Please take a look at the css above (add to /css/custom.css) to lighten bottom line. If you want it lighter, change the .56 lower as 0 is completely transparent and 1 is fully visible.

    2) There really is no way to shorten the line under the header since its the header border that runs all the way across on top and below. It can be removed and in its place could be placed something else , a smaller container for instance whose width can be controlled, but no way to make only a portion of the header bottom border visible, and mask the rest without introducing extra elements.

    3) You wrote ‘I want the footer to stretch across all the way but the line shortens for the header border.’

    #top .header_color {
    border-color: rgba(255, 10, 10, 0);
    }

    Thanks,

    Nick

    In reply to: Thumbs looks strange

    Hi,

    Most of your images are still 600×600 being shrunk with css to 257×257. (this time first image is at correct size) You on a shared host? Low WordPress memory allocation probably. Just re-upload the images manually, it will take 15mins. Regeneration is tricky business , seems to be working less reliably lately. The theme has been made with rectangular thumbnails in mind, so something isn’t happy. Please update the theme because with so many css changes, anything i give you would become invalid after the update.

    ==============

    If you did not make customization to theme template files then essentially yes. If you modified the template files, you will need to port the modified code from the old to the new theme. I usually use winmerge.org app (free) to compar the entire old theme folder to new theme folder and then can see line by line the differences in case i forget.

    1) download zip from themeforest.net

    2) unzip and take out the second zip

    3) unzip the second zip (called enfold) on your home computer

    4) rename folder to enfold-new (for example)

    5) using FTP connect to your website. and upload enfold-new next to the enfold theme folder currently running on your site

    6) rename the enfold theme folder to enfold-old and rename enfold-new to enfold.

    Sounds harder than it is, but this is the fastest and most painless way to do it with very little chance of a screwup.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi there,

    The border CSS didn’t fix the circle thumbnail in Safari, so this code worked:

    .avia-testimonial-image img {

    border-radius: 0;

    }

    .avia-testimonial-image {

    border-radius: 0;

    }

    Hi!

    I want images in my blog (with no sidebar) to be 900px wide, but when i upload img into post it automatically resizes to 600px. The same issue with text – it’s 600px wide.

    How to make post wider? say 900px?

    In reply to: Enfold Combo Widget

    This will be fixed in the next version. Open up wp-contentthemesenfoldframeworkphpclass-framework-widgets.php and replace:

    if(!$image && current_theme_supports( 'post-thumbnails' ))
    {
    $image = get_the_post_thumbnail( get_the_ID(), $image_size );
    }

    $time_format = apply_filters( 'avia_widget_time', get_option('date_format')." - ".get_option('time_format'), 'avia_get_post_list' );

    with

    if(!$image && current_theme_supports( 'post-thumbnails' ))
    {
    $image_size = isset($avia_config['widget_image_size']) ? $avia_config['widget_image_size'] : 'widget';
    $image = get_the_post_thumbnail( get_the_ID(), $image_size );
    }

    $time_format = apply_filters( 'avia_widget_time', get_option('date_format')." - ".get_option('time_format'), 'avia_get_post_list' );

    This might help: I managed to recreate the issue on a desktop browser as well, both Firefox and Safari on Mac show this behavior when you resize the window to the offending width… which is precisely 768 pixels.
