    Dear Support,

    How can we deactivate “creativework” schema?
    For every section, for every content: creativework schema is there. And we can’t manage it.
    Can you please insert an option for this to deactivate this?
    It’s for “The most generic kind of creative work, including books, movies, photographs, software programs, etc.”
    More specific Types
    BookSeries
    MovieSeries
    Periodical
    PodcastSeries
    RadioSeries
    TVSeries
    VideoGameSeries

    But what is the sense for content, which can be easily crawled? Furthermore, we have the article and blog schema.org. But this can be solved with rank math.

    As result: creativework destroying defined meta-descriptions (from Rankmath). The defined meta description is in the source code.
    Google take creative work in so many cases as snippet. Sometimes, I have 3,4 words only in my meta description, while all other checks are ok from different test.

    And all of my competitors have no creativework schema, but defined meta desc. is shown.
    Furthermore, my rich snippet does not show the meta descr., while all others have the right result in the google rich snippet test.

    Thx & best
    S.

    PS: FAQ etc. is ok, I want this if you tell me to deactivate schema globally in enfold.

    Hello,

    I did want to mention I had found this page https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/blog-post/#toggle-id-13 and I had read through it. I wasn’t sure if there was a way to modify the function for changing the archive style :
    add_filter(‘avf_blog_style’,’avia_change_category_blog_layout’, 10, 2);
    function avia_change_category_blog_layout($layout, $context){
    if($context == ‘archive’) $layout = ‘single-small’;
    return $layout;
    }
    to adding a header/changing the tag header. I just am uncertain what exactly I would change to use that, or if that would work.

    For the language showing up as a category, if there isn’t a good way to exclude it, is there a way to get the meta element in the advanced page builder to put a unique class or id on each category that gets listed? Then I could at least hide the language with styles, without hiding the other categories.

    Thank you,

    The preview changes feature in version 5.2.1 of the enfold theme does not display the correct formatting, fonts, colors etc. If you compare the the live page and preview source codes, you can see that the link to a css file is missing. This is the missing link in the preview version:
    <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’avia-single-post-80-css’ href=’https://www.WEBSITE/wp-content/uploads/avia_posts_css/post-80.css?ver=ver-1667628537&#8242; type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
    Note: I’ve replaced our website name in the link with “WEBSITE”.

    In reply to: Enfold vs PHP 8.1

    Hey Sanne,

    The version you are running is not comptible with newer version of PHP. Could you try to update to the latest version (5.2.1) to see if that helps please? The update to 5.2.1 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi There,

    I’m running a site with Events Tickets Plus installed. Since 5.2 the Attendee Registration Portal doesn’t work, when you click ‘Add Tickets’ the scrollbar to the right disappears and the site behaves a bit like those goats when they freeze up with fear and fall over.

    URL in private contents. This is a staging site I set up for testing.

    Seems ok with 5.1.2 and the workflow works without the modal (ie. get tickets -> checkout -> provide attendee info), but the modal changes the order (get tickets -> attendee registration in modal -> checkout)., that’s when the site seizes up, a al fainting goat. Not possible to scroll after Get Tickets is clicked.

    I’m not sure how long the modal feature has been available on Events Tickets Plus, but client has complained they couldn’t take orders so I presume a while and that recent Enfold updates have caused it to fail.

    The staging site I’ve linked has quite a lot going on but I’ve stripped it down to just vanilla Enfold, no child theme and no other plugins and it seems to all work prior to 5.2.

    Could you help please? I’d like to get this modal feature working if possible.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hi! Need support. Our page (www.soderhus.se) is not compatible with PHP 8.1 (Loopia/wordpress is upgraded to PHP 8.1). Guess we use Enfold 4.4.1. PHP 7.3 is fine.

    What do we have to do to make it work?

    This is not my field of profession, please don´t judge me for my questions.

    Topic: Theme not updating

    Hi there, I just bought a licence for the Enfold theme and set up the link to envato (personal token and all that). I now want to update the theme (from 4.6.3.1) to the current. Unfortunately, when I run ‘check for updates’ – the response is that I already have the latest version – which is wrong, obviously.
    Can you help me out?

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    I added following code to Functions.php file near line 46th

    // Register TikTok icon as a theme icon
    function avia_add_custom_icon($icons) {
    $icons['tiktokicon'] = array( 'font' =>'tiktok', 'icon' => 'ue800');
    return $icons;
    }
    add_filter('avf_default_icons','avia_add_custom_icon', 10, 1);

    // Add TikTok icon as an option for social icons
    function avia_add_custom_social_icon($icons) {
    $icons['TikTok'] = 'tiktokicon';
    return $icons;
    }
    add_filter('avf_social_icons_options','avia_add_custom_social_icon', 10, 1);

    And added following code to bottom of Quick CSS field in Enfold theme options > General Styling

    #top #wrap_all .av-social-link-tiktokicon a,
    #top #wrap_all .av-social-link-tiktokicon a {
      color: #fff;
      background-color: #FE2C55;
    }

    Instructions on our docs – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/social-share-buttons/#how-to-add-custom-social-icons-to-enfold-options

    You are currently not using a child theme, so the modification in Functions.php file will be overwritten when you update the theme. To make the changes update proof, please switch to a child theme – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/.

    Please review your website :)

    Hey Jan,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    If you do not have access to ThemeForest/Envato account that was used when purchasing the theme, I am afraid you would need to purchase a new license to update the theme.

    After purchasing a license, you can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and generate a Personal Token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates.

    You can use your purchase code to register to our support forums – https://kriesi.at/support/register/ and start new threads under Enfold sub forum – https://kriesi.at/support/forum/enfold#new-post whenever you have a question or an issues :)

    Hi,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/social-share-buttons/#how-to-add-custom-social-icons-to-enfold-options and it to theme options as image.

    Enfold uses icons from Fontello and currently there is no TikTok icon on Fontello, so we are unable to add it to theme options.

    I’ve tried different fonts and did not have this issue with others. If the font can’t display character properly it still shows it in black.
    This seems to be only “Cabin” font which for some reason shows everything properly but diacritics (only one) different colour.

    When I’ve tested this on https://www.1001fonts.com/cabin-font.html?text=%C5%A0%C4%8C%C5%BD%C5%A1%C4%8D%C5%BE&size=96
    It displays all the types properly. Is there some way to figure out what font exactly Enfold uses when H1 and Cabin is selected?

    PPSSS.

    Now tried with Twenty Twenty One, and this time it shows the same content as Enfold – see private.

    I presume the problem is with WordPress?

    C

    PS, just deleted Enfold theme using File Manager on Plesk.

    Then downloaded the latest version and uploaded it to the themes folder and expanded the zip folder.

    Sadly the search still has the individual items listed, rather than all of them.

    Could the WordPress be the problem?

    C

    HI Mike,

    I usually update WordPress using their installer. I have looked through to see anything old, but the oldest seem to about 2021.

    Inside the WP-Content / Enfold folder there are some files which date from 20/10/2021. Such as:
    404.php
    archive.php
    author.php
    comments.php
    etc.

    Do you think it would be worth deleting the Enfold folder in Themes and start again?

    #1371872

    In reply to: 4xx Error for Ajax

    Exactly the same error on Google Search Console (403) and enfold/framework – that would not be so bad; however, I fear that Google will evaluate this negatively quite quickly without fixing.
    There are already quite a few sites listed that way.

    by the way: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/google-search-console-403-error-on-directory-wp-contentthemesenfoldframework-2/

    please give advice how to solve the problem best.

    Hi seagrinch,

    Can you try adding this CSS code in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS and see if it helps:

    .wp-block-embed.wp-embed-aspect-16-9 .wp-block-embed__wrapper span {
        padding-bottom: 56.2667%;
        position: relative;
        display: block;
    }

    .wp-block-embed.wp-embed-aspect-16-9 .wp-block-embed__wrapper span iframe {
        position: absolute;
        width: 100%;
        height: 100% !important;
        left: 0;
        top: 0;
        padding: 0;
    }

    Best regards,
    Nikko
