    Hi,

    You have modified the header.php file on your child theme. Could you please try updating it with a fresh copy from the parent theme and re-apply your modifications to the file?

    You can temporarily switch Enfold parent theme to see if the issue is related to child theme or not :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hey Torsten,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    You are currently using a very old version of Enfold, version 3.6.1, which is not compatible with your WordPress and PHP versions.

    Updating Enfold would fix the issue. Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 5.4 :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi,

    Did you add the css code that we suggested above? This should adjust the width of the sidebar and allow the main container to float beside the sidebar. Please make sure to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css.

    Best regards,

    I would REALLY appreciate some help making a second template for my WP site in Enfold.

    I am NOT referring to the “page” template option. I’m referring to when you Edit a Page, in the “Page Attributes” section, selecting a custom “Template”.

    I’ve logged in via FTP & found the “template-builder.php”, “template-blank.php”, “header.php”, & “footer.php” files. I believe i need to create a PHP/HTML/CSS template based on these & put it in my CHILD theme folder for this to work.

    i ‘know’ HTML & CSS, not so much PHP. I even tried modifying the ‘blank’ template but am just not understanding what php bits i need & what i don’t.

    So, what i’m looking to do is…
    I need a landing page & some sub-pages that uses a completely different look/design than the rest of the site.

    I want to create a template and use my own html/css to customize the design/layout – “BUT” i need to still be able to utilize ALL of the “Avia Layout Builder” options for each page.

    This would also need to include:

    1. – using a separate Menu from the Appearance > Menus section;
    2. – ability to toggle the Layout > Sidebar on/off for some pages;
    3. – have custom Widgets from the Widgets page to use in these pages;
    4. – use specific Posts Categories to display those Posts on a page(s);
    5. – and i’m not sure if doing this would interfere with any Plugins, so to make sure it won’t.

    I tried just using the “template-blank.php” code, but 3 issues with that…
    1) if i add it to my child theme, edit a page, & select it as the template, yes the header & footer are gone, but the body/content box is full-width of the window, whereas with the standard template, it obeys the dimensions i set in the child theme settings;
    2) it can’t utilize a custom menu from the Appearance > Menus settings;
    3) i don’t know where to add the usual html/css code in or around the php code. do i add the <html><head>my code</head><body>then close</body></html>???

    // https://pastebin.com/LvXSFXVY

    do i need code from the “template-builder.php”, “header.php”, & “footer.php” files?

    here’s a combined file (template-custom.php) that has the code from the “template-builder.php”, “header.php”, & “footer.php” files.
    would it be better for you to just tell me which lines out of this to delete &/or modify???

    <!-- BEGIN CUSTOM TEMPLATE -->

    Hi,

    I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (5.3.1.1) to see if that helps please? The update to 5.3 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Mike, actually I am not interested in hiring somebody for this thing on Upwork.com. I am getting some inputs through Stackoverflow and here what I found.
    The code above I was trying to use to get the category was obviously wrong. The right code should be this:

    $categories = get_the_category( $post_id->ID);

    So with my data it should come out as follows

    function get_current_post_num() {
       $url = $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'].$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'];
        $curr_post_id = url_to_postid( "https://".$url )
        $categories = get_the_category(  $curr_post_id->ID);
     //etc etc

    The problem is that in the portfolio item the array returned is 0, while the same exact code applied to a blog single post returns an array with all the terms (hence the categories applied).

    So I come back to my previous question: how are the portfolio categories treated??? How can I access them? This is a question that should pertain to the Enfold support I believe.

    Thank you very much

    Hi there,
    I am looking after a website for a client. The website was originally set up years ago by another designer. They chose your theme and it has been working fine. But I have recently needed to update WP versions and plugins and the theme started to break.
    As I didn’t have access to the originators account with you, I have just bought the theme again on a new licence and am now posting this support request as I’m stuck how to fix the problem.

    The website builder doesn’t seem to be working correctly and not updating. I am seeing the WP editor at the top of screen, and the theme builder below. There is no Visual Editor showing, and when i make a change to the html code and save – I get all code showing on screen…..

    The following errors are showing:
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘http_code’ in /var/www/vhosts/estasaddles.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-envato-protected-api.php on line 307

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/estasaddles.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-pixelentity-theme-update.php on line 49

    Please can you help me fix this situation.
    Thank you :-)

    Hi Beatrice,

    I discovered that the issue only happens when the “Attendee Registration” feature is enabled in the Event Tickets plugin settings.

    I have a temporary fix for you which only works fine when the “Hide related events” option is enabled in The Events Calendar settings, and it is enabled on your site.

    I can apply the temporary fix on your site if you would like.

    If you would like to apply it yourself, please go to /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-events-calendar/ folder and replace the event-mod.css file with this one: https://pastebin.com/umB2NLwt
    Then, go to /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-events-calendar/views/ and replace the single-event-no-mobile.php file with this one: https://pastebin.com/bJ6xaWaq

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hey,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    It seems like you have 2 Content Slider elements on your page, one with 3 columns and the other with 2 columns. You display the one with 3 columns on the desktop and the one with 2 columns on smaller screen sizes.

    Please edit your Content Slider element with 3 columns and give it the “desktop-content-slider” CSS class in Advanced > Developer Settings. Then, edit your Content Slider element with 2 columns and give it the “laptop-content-slider” CSS class in Advanced > Developer Settings.

    Then add the following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options > General Styling tab

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
    .desktop-content-slider { display: none !important; }
    .laptop-content-slider { display: block !important; }
    }

    1024px in the code is the break point. You can change it as needed.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
