    SOLVED
    I simply renamed my portfolio item pages as such:
    01 instead of 1
    02 instead of 2
    03 instead of 3
    and so forth. My bad, I should have tried this first. :)

    Now the sorting works as desired.

    Please disregard my previous post, perhaps it will help someone else.

    I think I have a similar issue to the above.

    I am using the Masonry Element with Portfolio Items and post tags.
    Select Entries: Post Tag (various tag names are selected)
    Filter: display all entries
    Sorting: Yes, display sort options / Title / Ascending Order
    Captions: Display Title / Display as centered overlay / Hide on mouse hover

    I’d like a way to sort the order of the tent in alphabetical and numeric order.
    Currently they sort out of order
    1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 2, 20, 21, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
    Desired sorting order
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21

    Could you offer a solution that is able to use sorting filters with a similar look and displays alphabetically?

    Hi,
    I am seeing this as well on my sites, I just noticed it today. I want to say it’s a bug since the latest WordPress release as the icons were displaying with the latest Enfold release, but seem to have broken with the WP update?

    Interestingly, the email icon displays correctly on the last link. Perhaps a clue?

    My bad, I figured out my problem. Sorry to bother, this thread can be closed.
    – I had my Masonry – Size Settings set to Perfect Automatic Masonry where it should have been Perfect Manual Masonry
    – I sorted out my page order issue by numbering the portfolio item slug name with 01-, 02-, 03-, and so forth, then set “Order by” to Name (Post Slug)

    The portrait and landscape tags work as they should when applied.

    Hi,

    This is a good thread for a common problem. A responsive header option would be a great added feature for the main menu options for Enfold! Anything to help prevent menu text from overlapping the header icon would be helpful.

    Another feature request would be to add a 3rd breakpoint for the hamburger menu to prevent issues of menu text overlapping the header on landscape tablets. Currently, I encounter issues with menu text overlapping the header icon on tablet devices. I keep making the menu text smaller, but that is not a very good solution as people need to be able to read the menu text.

    Currently there are only 2 breakpoints for browsers below 990px and lower. Could you add a 3rd breakpoint for browsers below 1025px?

    In this case, the cleared cache did not work. It was the first thing I tried. I tied a few other browsers too and cleared their caches.
    If anyone encounters this problem, I’d advise them to look at the shortcodes in debug mode or try to find some custom code that was not setup correctly.

    Thanks, I solved the problem. I did see this link and follewed all the steps… and posted it in my original post for this support ticket.

    The reason the page was not loading was due to another admin for the website attempting to embed a paypal button on the donate page. Must have been some bad script code, and cause the endless avia spinner. When I removed the embed code, the page loaded fine.

    You can close this now… all good on my end. Thanks for helping me debug.

    Hello Rikard,

    I solved the problem for this page! ;)

    To solve:
    * enabled debug mode
    * copied shortcodes at bottom of page to a text editor
    * made a new wordpress page
    * copied the shortcodes (got the spinning loader error)
    * deleted all the shortcodes and added them back in, (in small sections) and narrowed the problem down to a bad snippet of a script. (See private content for bad snippet script)
    * after removing the bad snippet of script code, the page updated and loaded! Problem solved.

    For me, it had nothing to do with plugins or the admin-ajax file. At least, not that I’m aware of. However, I do not know why the bad code was present. It’s possible another admin added it by mistake and failed to tell me of their error, but I do not know.
    Just glad it is fixed now.

    It just took some time for me to really examine this problem.

    Hello, I am still not able to load the donate page. I just disabled the plugins and set permission to the file you requested again. Could you please take one more look. I’ll need to re-enable the plugins in the day tomorrow.

    Also, if I cannot get this working properly, can you recommend a solution? Should I delete the page and try to redo it? I’m concerned this problem will happen again.

    Hi, I added permissions to the file requested.
    I’ll try deactivating all plugins. I’m on PST, and will do this at night to prevent issues with people using the website today.

    Hopefully we can make progress solving this now. Thanks for your help so far.

    Hi,

    I’m on a wired 60down/12up mbps connection. It also happened at home where I have slower speeds. However, I don’t think it’s the internet connection, as other sites worked fine while I had the issue.

    I was unable to reproduce with a default WP theme, as the issue seems to happen with the avia layout builder. I’ll try to find a way to reproduce in a way that eliminates Enfold as a suspect.

    In my situation, the problem happened while I was building a lengthy page of content for several hours. (lots of updating) It was as if something was getting corrupted as the page had too much content or something. Then I tried recreating the page from scratch with a different name, and the same problem happened as I rebuilt. (So far, it’s isolated to this one specific page I’m working on) This made me think it was either a problem with my content, WordPress, Enfold, or something with the host.

    There’s been others (on this forum) with this problem too, but I’m not clear on how they resolved. I know it’s a tough issue to reproduce and sort out, but I’ll keep trying.

    UPDATE 2:

    I did a work-around for now and am fine now. :)

    Perhaps make note of the problem caused by separating a grid-row with a special heading. That seems to break the responsiveness of the grid-row all the way to the footer.

    UPDATE:

    I had a special heading in between each grid-row, so I moved them into a grid-row cell rather than placing above the grid-row, and this fixed the responsive issue.

    However, now I am seeing problems with the way the images are being displayed. I’ll keep trying to debug.

    I found a fix on my end, which is likely what you are seeing now. :) I am so silly.

    I went to Settings->Permalinks->Common Settings and changed the the radial button to “Post name”. It was set to “Custom Structure” before, and was causing problems.

    Yay! We fixed it together! :) Enfold rules all. This issue can be closed now.

    Ultimately the fallback to still image would be preferable. I just noticed a new-ish PayPal homepage has many of the same features Enfold provides. They are using video backgrounds, and fallback to a still frame for mobile devices. ;) Nice to know you’re ahead of the curve.

    I opted out of using the video backgrounds for now, as I need a one-size-fits-all-devices solution, so until a still frame fallback gets added as a new feature, I likely will not use this. However, it is a very cool addition. I’m really enjoying using this theme, and all the support.

    Thanks for responding. I understand why the parallax does not work for mobile, and the reasoning. It’s totally fine.

    My problem appears to be a bug specifically related to iPad 2, or possibly iPad in general. iPhone 4 looks as it should, but the iPad 2 has a bug with the parallax color section. The image used in the color section appears very large and scaled up, like 500% more than normal. This causes the browser to be completely filled with a giant scaled up image.

    I just did some more testing and set the color section with the exact settings in the Enfold Demo and I got it to work as it should! Yay! So the problem appears to be how I originally setup the color section options: (see below)

    Bad settings: (caused iPad 2 to crash in Safari)
    * Section Colors: Alternate Content
    * Background Attachment: Parallax
    * Background Image Position: Center Center
    * Background Repeat: No Repeat
    * Section Minimum Height: At Least 50%
    * Section Padding: No Padding
    * Section Top Shadow: Do Not display Shadow

    Good Settings: (got the desired effect I was looking for)
    * Section Colors: Main Content
    * Background Attachment: Fixed
    * Background Image Position: Top Left
    * Background Repeat: Stretch To Fit
    * Section Minimum Height: No Min. Height
    * Section Padding: Large Padding
    * Section Top Shadow: Do Not display Shadow

    Ok, thanks for helping out. It appears the problem is solved with the correct settings. I’m kind of new to this theme, and am learning how it works as I go. Love it, btw! The avia shit is what I have been dreaming of for many years. ;) It’s really nice to use. Thanks for all the great support too.

    I tested on iPhone 4 and works great! No problems. The Layer Slider runs pretty smoothly.
    However, It does not work on iPad. In fact, it seems to be crashing Safari on iPad 2 with the latest version iOS installed.
    Just wanted to mention that.

    I tested on iPhone 4 and works great! No problems. No parallax, but the images display in a nice way, which is great!
    However, It does not work on iPad. The color section parallax images are scaled way up and fill the entire screen.

    Hello, I am also seeing flickering on iPad with the Layer Slider, and it crashed Safari several times. I tested the demo Layer Slider files packaged with Enfold and see the flickering there as well.

    I’m running the latest version of WP, Enfold, iOS, and have no plugins installed. Also cleared the cache on iPad.

    I think this is a new problem as I have used it before without noticeable flickering or playback issues. The website works fine on Win Chrome, FF, IE.
