    Hi,

I’ve been working on an Enfold site and am periodically having problems where my page will not update when I press the “Update” button, rather I see a spinner playing endlessly. When I try to navigate to another page I get an error loading message in Chrome. (also happens in Firefox) The whole site will not load for a short period of time (1-2 minutes) then I am able to access the dashboard. However, the spinning page issue still persists when I attempt to load the page or update the page.

This problem seems to happen after working on a larger page with 16 or more color sections. I remade the page today starting fresh and encountered a similar issue as I got to around 16 color sections.

However, I’ve noticed the problem will stop if I wait 15 or so minutes, so I’m having trouble reproducing this problem consistently. (could it be related to my client’s hosting?) Any ideas? It’s terribly frustrating.

I’ve tried: clearing cache, disabling plugins, switching themes and reinstalling Enfold to no effect. On latest version of WP.

Any help would be much appreciated. I’ve used Enfold for several websites, but this is the first time I’ve encountered this problem.

    Thanks,
    Todd

    Hi twhaoske!

It updated instantly for me. Sounds like it might be some problem with your hosting provider. I would check with them.

Thanks I will look into that. It’s not been a problem for me today, but I have been working on other parts of the website. I’ll let you know if I find a solution. Thanks for the reply.

    Hey!

Page save/update speed also depends on the internet connection.

Could you please confirm if the same happened when you switched to a default wordpress theme?

    Hi,

I’m on a wired 60down/12up mbps connection. It also happened at home where I have slower speeds. However, I don’t think it’s the internet connection, as other sites worked fine while I had the issue.

I was unable to reproduce with a default WP theme, as the issue seems to happen with the avia layout builder. I’ll try to find a way to reproduce in a way that eliminates Enfold as a suspect.

In my situation, the problem happened while I was building a lengthy page of content for several hours. (lots of updating) It was as if something was getting corrupted as the page had too much content or something. Then I tried recreating the page from scratch with a different name, and the same problem happened as I rebuilt. (So far, it’s isolated to this one specific page I’m working on) This made me think it was either a problem with my content, WordPress, Enfold, or something with the host.

There’s been others (on this forum) with this problem too, but I’m not clear on how they resolved. I know it’s a tough issue to reproduce and sort out, but I’ll keep trying.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I still have this problem from time to time on this website and am having an issue on another website where the page will not load when I click the “edit page” link in the admin. Could you offer any suggestions to work around?
    Thanks again,
    Todd

Thanks, I solved the problem. I did see this link and follewed all the steps… and posted it in my original post for this support ticket.

The reason the page was not loading was due to another admin for the website attempting to embed a paypal button on the donate page. Must have been some bad script code, and cause the endless avia spinner. When I removed the embed code, the page loaded fine.

You can close this now… all good on my end. Thanks for helping me debug.

    Hey Todd,

Ok, things like that can break the builder sometimes unfortunately. Glad you found the problem though :-)

    Rikard
