I have looked over the documentation https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/example-of-widget-left-logo-center-widget-right-menu-below/#toggle-id-2 and it’s not very clear how to align widgets with the logo. I also noticed the CSS code snippets are for “Menu Above” and not “Menu Below”….not sure if it makes a difference, but regardless that should be corrected. I had a few people look at the documentation and they also found it unclear and confusing. As a suggestion, it may be cool if your team took a look at it and possibly try to make more intuitive.
I’ve gotten as far as getting a widget appearing (although I want one on the left and right of the centered logo). I realize your admins have a ton of requests, but a little guidance would be very much appreciated.
Here is what I’m referring to. Just scroll down to “Mike’s” reply

As a none coder good to know, thanks again.
Thank you for pointing that out, whew!
I do have another question. I also tried to replace the old functions.php file (there was no custom css on the old file) with the latest funtions.php file and it broke the site. So my question is how do I use the new functions.php file for my child theme without the site breaking? I did notice a huge amount of changes with the new functions.php
Ok so what is the code I need to use?
Hi Nikko,
the first thing I did was turn off all the plugins and made sure I was using the latest Enfold theme and WordPress. I then switched themes to the WordPress default and the issue went away, so this is why I believe it to be an Enfold conflict. Thanks again for the help, I will let you know if the issue persists with the next Enfold update.
Thank you that solved the issue. Will this fixed in the next theme update?
Gee thanks for the help, really answered my question on how to fix.
This is a development site where once finished it will be moved to another host so I never needed to use an SSL. I have created many sites with Enfold with no issues due to no SSL. Also, I’ve been using the same host for hosting my dev sites with no issues arising due to not using an SSL certificate.
I asked the host if adding an SSL would fix the issue and they said no. So now what do I do?
At this point, my deadline to get this site completed is very close. I really don’t want to use another theme as I have used Enfold exclusively for over 5 years, yet in the last year, it seems to be buggy for me. Your support has been very helpful in the past.
Any response would be helpful, thanks.
I had my hosting provider look into this to see if it’s anything to do with the server, below is their reply. The issue still persists, any help would be appreciated.
It seems to be an issue with the theme ‘enfold’. Please check the theme with your developer as our scope of support is limited third-party applications.
I got my hosting provider to look into the issue, below is their reply. Although they fixed the error, the issue of no editing tools appearing in the text box still persists. If there is anybody else who can add a possible solution, it would be greatly appreciated as I’m not able to do anything on the site.
As your theme developer stated earlier in this ticket that the page https://www.stateofmindfilms.ca/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php is showing 404 error, that has been corrected now. The folder wp-includes had full permission which caused the error. I have given this folder the permission 755. The link https://www.stateofmindfilms.ca/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php is loading fine.
Please contact the theme developer and inform that the 404 error has been corrected.
Switched to 7.0 and still no change
The server is using 5.6
I have the issue solved, looks like a server caching issue with GoDaddy. All good now :)
This fixed the issue:
Replace your child theme “header.php” with a current version.
Nevermind nobody seems to want to take this on LOL!
I used an embedded form as the Enfold Mailchimp setup is not up to par just yet, obviously still needs work.
Bump – Help
Ok will do
Ok looks cool, I’ll give that a try. Hopefully, I don’t mess this up LOL
Keep this post open until I confirm ;)
What settings did you use?
As mentioned I’ve resolved the issue, thanks for the reply
Ok, I had the advanced settings on, so I turned these off and now it works.
All good now
Hey thanks for the reply. The form took about 5-6 hours to finally update, not sure what the deal was but i’m good to go now.
Ok that worked. Why does the CSS have to be the first line in the Custom CSS? I’ve never heard of that before?
Yup I already tried that CSS and it’s not working. Here are the login credentials for the site.
