The update to 4.9.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

If you need help with updating, then please post admin WordPress and FTP login details in private. Also please verify that you have backups of your site.

Thanks for the login details. If you have header.php and footer.php in your child theme, then both of those files need to be replaced with the parent theme files. You can add your customisations back in after that. I wanted to check your child theme content, but Appearance->Theme Editor is turned off on your installation.

If you need further help, then please include FTP login details in private as well.

Hi,

You are still running an old version of the theme, please update to the latest version of the theme. That will update the LayerSlider as well.
If you want to remove LayerSlider, then you can do so under Enfold->Layout Builder->Integrated (Bundled) LayerSlider Plugin.
