    ok, thanks for your help, but i’m not there yet. i installed the envato app, but can’t find the settings page. there is no link to it on my dashboard or on the register a token page that you sent me to. i created two new tokens, both of them resulted in errors that they could not be saved. i have spent hours on this. can you please help me?

    We can’t create a token for you, since we would need access to your Themeforest account. If you still can’t get it to work, then please post your Themeforest details in private.

    Thanks for that. The login details you posted are not working, please check and verify. We can’t create a token for you from your website though, it would have to be done using your Themeforest account.

    Thanks for the that. The Themeforest passcode is not working unfortunately, I guess it expires after a while. Maybe you could try reaching out to Envato/Themeforest support for further help? They should be in a better position to help you out with this.

    I’m sure the details work, but since I’m logging in from a different location than your usual one, it’s asking me for a passcode which is sent to your email. Please see screenshot in private. The passcode you sent previously is not working, likely since it expires within an hour or so.

    So, I responded the minute i got the code. If there was a delay, it wasn’t on my end. If you send another one now, I can respond asap for the next hour.

    Yes, but it unfortunately took me 14 hours to see your response. It’s actually rare that we respond within an hour. I think it would be much easier for you to reach out to Envato/Themeforest support with this problem, since they should have direct access to your account.

    Yes, one would think so. I started with them and they referred me to the theme author. can we possibly work this out so that you can give me a time (I am on DST in the US) and then perhaps you can make an exception for picking up the code in an email?

    so, i am getting nowhere except super frustrated. here’s the email I got from envato and my response. hopefully this gives you more insight and perhaps we can think of a creative solution? all I want to do is be able to get updates for my theme and register it. it shouldn’t take me hours to do this.

    I am sorry to hear you are still having this trouble with your personal token for this item.

    After taking a second look at the screenshot you’ve provided about the errors, I came to realize that you are entering the purchased code of the item, which is not the same as the private token.

    We do not have access to see your token nor to generate one for you, if you have already generated one you must enter it where it says “enter a valid Envato private token. If you do not have one yet, please generate one here: https://build.envato.com/my-apps/, select the options that says “Create a new token” under your personal tokens.

    here’s my response to him.
    No. You are running me in circles. I did this three times already but it didn’t work, remember? I just tried it again and got the same error message. We have some options here.
    1. You can figure this out for me…please????
    2. You can fix it
    3. You can talk to the theme author?

    Something is screwy. Is this because of my other account that you guys are giving me a hard time? If so, let’s get it out in the open and fix this.

    Last time we checked the token we were not able to connected to Envato:

    Purchases could not be accessed
    Username could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    E-Mail could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    Following errors occurred:

    Purchases: Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – response_code: 403
    – reason: scope-missing
    username Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – code: not_authenticated
    email Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:

    OMG. i didn’t see these instructions before and I do believe it worked. I got this message. are we there?

    We checked the token on 2022/05/16 18:49 and we were able to connect to Envato and could access the following information listed privately.
