Fantastic update…
Currently playing around with the new stuff on my little private test site but I’m really liking what I’m seeing so far.

The dummy content is in the database, not in the theme files, so you need to go into the relevant sections for pages / posts etc. and delete all the relevant unwanted pages etc from them.
The ‘chaos’ you see there is because all the pages have been added to your main menu so the first quick fix is to either make a new menu, or edit it to delete the extra entries.

I always assumed that when inserting a url with the ‘manual’ option it required a full path?
Hmm, it seems that the builder needs me to insert the url as a relative path, not an absolute URL. Not ideal as I may need to link to a file held on another site at some point..

Hey Peter, I wasn’t necessarily referring directly to this thread, I just happened to be in this one when I decided to comment as it seems that in many cases people post private replies unnecessarily and it does grate sometimes when browsing the forums :-)
Boy it gets really frustrating when some users mark every reply as private. There are many cases when other users might be interested in the topic too!
Update: I’ve done a bit of dirty CSS tweaking to sort it out for now as I’m using Enfold on a live site too (www.blackbeltacademy.info) and that’s ok for now.
I do think this needs an official tweak in an update sometime though as otherwise using icons in the header is going to look nasty on mobile..
@charnisch thanks.. I think I’m probably going to use Enfold for my photo site too. Just trying out a test at the moment, if it looks ok I’ll grab another license over the weekend and set it loose on the world ;-)
I know it’s been mentioned before, but right now my #1 request would be Mailchimp support for the contact forms.
The standard mailchimp form designer is hopeless and it’s a pain integrating Mailchimp forms to look good at the moment.
I’m interested in redoing my photography site with Enfold. Anyone out there got a good example of a photographer’s site done with the theme?
@zedduo Love what you’ve done with the IncyWincyCollege one, but the main page with the slider does break a little on different window sizes. In fact, for anything that’s not exactly 1440px wide, it doesn’t really work.

Sorry, I’m just a user/fan of the theme like yourself, and whilst I know *how* to do it, I barely have the time for my own projects, let alone taking on anyone elses!
It’s not really an ‘issue’ as it’s not a standard feature of Enfold. Kriesi’s site is based on Enfold, but with his own custom child theme.
If you go to the ‘contact’ page on the menu there is a link for customisation help..
Perhaps it would be a good idea to keep a sticky post on here with the latest release notes in and make sure it’s updated whenever the theme(s) are.
Hmm, I don’t know if this helps, but in Safari if I go to the Develop menu and change the user agent I get different results:
Set it to Chrome the video plays straight away.
Set it to Safari 7.0 (Mac), IE or firefox it loads a black screen with a play button in the middle (which does nothing), then if I refresh the page I get the first frame of the video shown but it doesn’t play..
I do have VLC installed and prior to Mavericks also had Perian, but as I mentioned already neither of those would affect the 2 iPads which have no capability for plugins or extensions..
Well I’m sorry you’re still having problems, but I can assure you that the snippit to hide the layer slider definitely does work as I’m using it on my site (http://www.BlackBeltAcademy.info). I’m currently viewing my front page on my iPhone and there’s no layer slider visible.
I think you’re being pretty unfair on the guys here. Their support is outstanding compared to most themes.
You can easily hide the layer slider on mobile with a couple of lines of CSS. It’s been mentioned several times on the forum, and found easily for a search for ‘hide layerslider’. You were shown how to do it in a reply to the first post you linked!
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) { .avia-layerslider { display: none; } }You should note in your example in the second link you’ve put your code in the media selector for screen sizes under 480px. Just about every modern smartphone has a much bigger screen than that so I’m guessing that may be why you can still see the slider.
I’ve tried the following:
- Disabled all extensions
- Cleared browser cache
- restarted the browser
- Tried with/without private browsing enabled
No change. It still doesn’t work. I don’t think it’s down to the Mac setup as it doesn’t work on the iPad either, and obviously that’s a ‘clean’ browser with no extensions or plugins. I’ve tried on both iPad 1 with iOS5 and iPad Air with iOS7.
It *does* work in Chrome on the Mac, but not in Chrome on the iPad.
