Thanks! That solved it

Thanks Ismael, but still no luck. You were targeting the gallery below the Instagram feed (the sortable one), correct? I was surprised to see the word instagram in the code there, but then again, I’m not a programmer. The last bit of code had actually worked for the Instagram feed (though by cropping the thumbs horizontally, not scaling uniformly.. which still works). Any other suggestions?
thanks
Omar
Hi Vinay,
Thanks. That actually covered my next question.. it did what I was looking to do, but to my instagram feed (brought in via this app/plugin: https://smashballoon.com/instagram-feed/) , but not to the avia ajax portfolio gallery (built into Enfold) below that. I’m trying to get all down in size a bit, so people get more more at a glance in mobile. I actually thought I was going to have to contact the smashballon for that tweak, so thanks.
That being said, can you tell me what code would be necessary to get the other gallery collection thumbs to 2 columns?
Thanks!

Hi Yigit,
Thanks, flushing the permalink settings totally worked. However, I’m noticing the featured image is being pulled into the permalinked pages, as it here at the top:
http://omarramirez.net/portfolio-item/hellboy-ii-the-golden-army/
I thought I had made a tweak to remove those preview images from those pages. Do you have any suggested quick css or other revisions to keep those preview images from appearing on project permalinks?
thanks
Omar
Hi Ismael,
Thanks, I didn’t know about the compatibility issue. I had been hesitant to upgrade, since it’s broken things for me in the past, but I just installed 4.2.2, with no noticeable issues so far. The issue I pointed out remain though (I want to get the mobile menu to be shorter in height). Please try visiting the site now.
thanks
Omar
Hello,
Sorry, meant to say thanks for this, it worked! However, I just recently upgraded to the latest version of Enfold, and I noticed none of my portfolio item direct links work anymore. Like the reel and hellboy links above (you can try them now, I get 404 error pages).
Any posible reason for this? Has anyone else reported anything like this?
thanks
Omar
Hi Yigit,
Thanks, that worked!

June 9, 2015 at 7:58 am in reply to: Header/Main Menu Issues After Enfold Upgrade, please help! #456490So I have kind of achieved what I wanted from item 3 in my list, but I noticed the main menu bar height is actually growing taller in the mobile view, when I actually want the opposite to occur (I want it to shrink as small as possible while remaining usable). Any suggested code or setting changes for achieving that?
thanks!

June 9, 2015 at 7:37 am in reply to: Header/Main Menu Issues After Enfold Upgrade, please help! #456478The main menu over state background issue strangely corrected itself when I toggled on the top menu search function in the Enfold settings. However, the search option didn’t become visible.. which I can live with, but I would be curious to know how to bring it in if possible.
June 9, 2015 at 2:20 am in reply to: Header/Main Menu Issues After Enfold Upgrade, please help! #456410Hello Basilis,
Thanks for the response!
The quick css code I added for the first item on my list a ways back was:
#top .main_menu .menu>li:last-child>a {
padding-right: 13px;
}Don’t know if that helps. The black space I’m getting on edge of the menu items in question does seem to correspond with that, but the white of the over state is butting up right against the right end of words.
For item 2, I was able to fix the logo issue by resizing the image and removing a line I had in the quick css relating to the logo size.
For item 3, sorry, I think my request was awkwardly worded, since I think you understood the opposite of what I meant. I want to keep the menu from scrolling away and out of frame in the condensed/mobile view. I think you guys built it to behave like that by default for good reason, since screen space is limited in the smaller form factor of mobile devices, but I want to at least try it out, since in my case, I think it may work with the one page page layout I have for my main/home page that houses most of the content.
Thanks!
Omar
Thanks, that did the trick!

October 1, 2013 at 7:36 am in reply to: Hide Main Menu Items and Create Alternative Main Menu #168588Hello,
So, before you respond to the previous message, I need to say, I just discovered how to get the alternate top menu to work for http://omarramirez.net/blog – by going to appearance/customize/static_front_page under my wordpress dashboard/options and selecting “Blog” as my “Posts Page,” while keeping “Home” as my “Front Page” … that works to active the “hide-blog” tag and hide unwanted selections on what can be considered my blog homepage. However, once I click on anything, including a post category, a post header, etc, I just go back to the original header from my Home Page.
Is there any way to assign a tag like “hide-blog” for every page other than my home page? Because the selections currently on my Home Page are really only relevant to that single page, since they are all relative anchor points in a one page layout.
thanks
Omar
Hello,
This is probably more of a bug fix request than a feature addition one.
I haven’t been able to get page anchors to work properly, when applied in the main menu. That is, if I try navigating to more than one page. Right now my site consists of a single page, with all the main menu options as anchor points to sections within the page: #portfolio or #contact for instance ( http://www.omarramirez.net ). That’s working fine, and getting that core functionality was my main concern, but I also intended to have a link to another section/page – a blog – and I tested it out using full urls for the main menu selections… for instance, http://www.site.com/#contact and http://www.site/blog
Using the full urls only half works. I can get to the blog section, then back to the home page where the contact or other content area is on my homepage, but getting back, it doesn’t load all the way to selected section anchor. It tends to jump somewhere in the middle of the section just above whatever content you’re trying to reach.
If you click on the button again, once you’re back on the homepage, it will work as intended, and scroll the page to where it should have gone in the first place, but I think this has the potential to really confuse and/or annoy visitors. So, to avoid the problem, I gave up on adding a blog section, but that didn’t really solve my issue.
I had casually brought up this problem before, and was hoping it would be fixed in an update. That was about three or four updates ago though, and I just updated to the latest version (2.2), and tried linking to a blog section again in the same manner, and I’m still experiencing the same problem.. so again, I just opted to omit a blog section, but that’s limiting what I can do with my site.
I’d really appreciate it if that could get fixed, and I’m guessing there are probably a lot more people who have run into the same issue, or will be running into it in the future. Kriesi, I was hoping to bring it to your attention by posting it here.
All that being said, great theme, and keep up the good work!
Thanks
Omar
I got a private message from Nicolas, but I see some other people may be interested in my workaround, so I’m posting my response here. I think you’ll find the answer here:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-video-and-avia-layout-builder-in-ajax-preview/
You basically have to force it to stop from defaulting to image previews by getting rid of the area that shows them, which alters the layout a bit, but opens up space for Vimeo or whatever video/content you want. I think the code modification provided by Dude in the link was what did the trick.
And cut the support team some slack, they’re super helpful if you ask for specific technical issues. You’ll have to dig around and try things out a bit.

Also, looking at the link attribution link you provided, I’m noticing the Google Analytics Tracking Code that’s given to me to drop in is not in the same format as what’s cited, so I wouldn’t know where to place that red text. I’m not sure why the formatting is so different from that bit of code, and code it’s given me in the past. Here’s what It’s giving me (I Xed out the tracking ID) :
<script>
(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,’script’,’//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js’,’ga’);
ga(‘create’, ‘XXXXXXXXX’, ‘omarramirez.net’);
ga(‘send’, ‘pageview’);
</script>
I’ve used Analytics before, so I know to copy the whole field, but I’m sure that’s a very common mistake…
Thanks, I’ll take a look at that again. As far as cache issues, could the use of the WP Super Cache plugin be contributing to issues? It was recommended by my hosting service for WordPress sites, but I’m not really sure what benefit it’s providing.

August 24, 2013 at 10:14 am in reply to: Custom Colors for Content Elements, Primary and Highlight Colors – Color Coding #134937I tried this and it’s not working for some reason. I got the class field to appear, and I’ve assigned a name to a specific horizontal ruler, and called it out in the quick css along with the ID of the color section it’s in, just as you’ve advised.
Here’s what I’ve tried, for instance:
#portfolio or-custom-hr-red{
border-color: #d81919;
}
with the class name of:
or-custom-hr-red
for a horizontal ruler in a color section with the ID of:
portfolio
Any idea why that may not be working?
Thanks
August 20, 2013 at 7:36 am in reply to: Ajax Portfolio Video Playback and Navigation Issue – Enfold #136417I didn’t realize how bad the problem was until just now. It appears to be the worst in Firefox, where it’s even restarting videos that have played through in their entirety and videos I’ve gone out of my way to pause, so I’m getting multiple videos playing at once after hitting play on a couple clips. It’s crazy. Chrome and Safari seem to at least respond to pausing.
Any thoughts?
August 20, 2013 at 12:37 am in reply to: Main Menu Custom Links for One Page Sites – Section IDs and Anchor Scrolling #132808Another update…
I also just tried bringing back the full urls with hashtag labeled sections, to test out mixing links to new pages (since I wanted to explore the possibility of a blog section) and links to anchor labeled sections in a single page (my primary one-page site).
Roll-over and activate states aside, the anchor labeled main menu items don’t seem to work properly when I navigate away and then try to reenter a specific area in my one page layout. For my test I tried navigating away, then back into the lowest section of my page. It loaded scrolled down the page, but short of the section I wanted, about halfway up the section above it. I would have to click main menu button again once the page had loaded to get it to scroll to the right area.
It looks like I’m going to have to just not have a blog area in order to avoid any of these issues. I’m not much of a blogger, but it kind of sucks to have to omit.
I’m guessing there’s no workaround for these issues at the moment, but I hope this feedback helps

August 20, 2013 at 12:00 am in reply to: Custom Colors for Content Elements, Primary and Highlight Colors – Color Coding #134935one last thing… would it be possible to change the outline color around the box housing the “Download resume” button and it’s accompanying blurb/caption?
thanks
August 19, 2013 at 11:56 pm in reply to: Custom Colors for Content Elements, Primary and Highlight Colors – Color Coding #134934Hi Devin,
Cool, that’d be great… everything is kind of a work in progress right now, so try to ignore the mess, but if you go to http://omarramirez.net/cms/ under the “About Me” section labeled #aboutme there’s the horizontal ruler line beneath “– A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME –” as well as the line immediately above the “Hello” beneath that.
In the “– PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & TRAINING –” section higher up, which I’ve labeled #resume , there’s the line beneath the section header, just above the word “My Resume” as well as all the horizontal lines below that..
Under the “– GET IN TOUCH –” section, labeled #contact , I was considering changing everything that’s blue to the red I use above… so the line under get in touch, the icons in the icons boxes, the line underneath the contact boxes, and anything blue in the contact form.
For that contact form in that section, I also wanted to be able to change the over color from orange to something else… not sure what yet though.
I hope that’s not too much work, and thanks ahead of time
Omar
August 19, 2013 at 11:24 pm in reply to: Main Menu Custom Links for One Page Sites – Section IDs and Anchor Scrolling #132807hello,
Just felt a need to comment on this again.
I had the same issue as Agenzi, and got the header item roll-over states to work as they should by only using the hashtaged section ids, as you’ve suggested. However, I just want to point out that if you choose to add anything to your header that navigates to a different page, a blog area for instance, all those header items pointing only to a hashtag are rendered useless, so you can’t really mix the two.
That’s actually an issue I’m having now, so it’d be great if you could resolve this in a future update.

August 16, 2013 at 6:22 am in reply to: Custom Colors for Content Elements, Primary and Highlight Colors – Color Coding #134932Thanks Devin,
Cool, that helps, but can you also tell me what specific css tags/bits of code I’d have to use to target Border Color, Primary Color, and Highlight Color?
The Border Color, which seems to determine the color of Horizontal Rulers, was actually my biggest concern. I was trying to figure it out by inspecting the code and looking through the forum but have had no luck. Text I can modify via the text and/or visual editor in individual text boxes, dropped in as content elements.
I thought I saw something about the Horizontal Ruler color being tied to a png file somewhere in the Forums, but I believe that was for another theme. Again, I’m working with Enfold.
Thanks!
Omar
