    Hi,

    you missed some questions.

    Which question? This is why we don’t recommend including multiple questions in a single thread. Please open a new thread for each inquiry.

    Is there another popup??

    No, there is no other popup. If the Modal Popup Window is not enough to inform your users what the kind of cookies they can consent to, then you can direct them to a privacy policy page.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey ak-muc,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    This is possible, but you have to modify the wp-content\themes\enfold\config-templatebuilder\avia-shortcodes\toggles\toggles.js file directly. Comment out or remove line 82 and 121.

    82:

    location.replace(thisheading.data('fake-id') + "-closed");

    121:

    location.replace(thisheading.data('fake-id'));

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey Jan,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You can alter the default sorting of the items in the post navigation by using the following filters.

    function avf_get_prev_post_sort_mod( $sort ) {
    	return "ORDER BY p.post_title DESC LIMIT 1";
    }
    add_filter( 'get_previous_post_sort', 'avf_get_prev_post_sort_mod' );

    function avf_get_next_post_sort_mod( $sort ) {
    	return "ORDER BY p.post_title ASC LIMIT 1";
    }
    add_filter( 'get_next_post_sort', 'avf_get_next_post_sort_mod' );

    This will sort the items by title instead of the date they were published. Check the documentation below for more info.

    // https://adambrown.info/p/wp_hooks/hook/get_next_post_sort

    in reply to: Background video with image, where comes the fadeout from ? #1165067

    Hey Stéphane,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Try to set the initial opacity of the slide containing the video element and the video container itself so that they are immediately visible on page load.

    .mejs-mediaelement, .av-video-slide {
    	opacity: 1 !important;
    }

    Please don’t forget to toggle the Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The togglers themselves contain the links and the theme doesn’t really add the css class attribute. Why do you have to use the plugin? You can create a toggler or tab element from the advance layout builder.

    You should ask the plugin author to modify the script and prevent the default behavior of the link tag inside the toggles to make sure that they actually switch the content instead of redirecting to another page.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The images are loading properly when the Easy Lazy Loader plugin is deactivated. If you enable the plugin back, you’ll see the issue again. Please contact the plugin author for additional info. We also deactivated WP Super Cache plugin temporarily.

    in reply to: HTML in portfolio title #1165056

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We can now reproduce the issue. Are you actively using the new block editor? The html tags are retained when the block editor is disabled, or when the classic editor is active. You can toggle the editor in the Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor settings.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The horizontal gallery is using the large thumbnail for its lightbox by default. You have to adjust the size of the thumbnail in the Settings > Media panel. Please don’t forget to regenerate the thumbnails after the adjustment, or upload the images again.

    Hi,

    Thank you for opening a new thread. We’ll close this thread for now because we haven’t heard anything new from the OP for a while. Please continue in the next thread.

    Hey Marc,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Do you want to keep the consent bar active even after the user accepted it? There is no option for it by default. What you can do is remove all buttons in the consent bar and notify users that by continuing to browse the site, they are by that means automatically consenting to the cookies. Why do you have to make the consent bar mandatory? It will probably be tiresome for a lot of users if they have to acknowledge the consent bar every time they visit the site.

    in reply to: Setting up a news item #1165048

    Hey bishstan,

    Thank you for the update.

    1.) Looks like you’re using the advance layout builder (ALB) for the post. The post title will only display automatically when you’re using the default editor for your posts. If you switch to the ALB, then you have to manually add the content including the title, featured image and everything else.

    After I have created a new message, the extra information is in the news overview but no longer on the page itself.

    2.) Same reason mentioned above. The default elements like the title, date and categories don’t display automatically because the advance layout builder (ALB) is active. You have to use the default editor.

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    We are able to add a product to the cart even though we haven’t consented to or accepted the cookies yet. We tested in Firefox on Window 10. Please check the screenshot below.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    This is possible but the changes or modification will have to be done directly in the parent theme, which is not really advisable. The better solution is to enlarge the current image so that the users will know which image is active. Edit the gallery and set the Active Image Style to Enlarge Image.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    Are you trying to display posts from the “featured” category? If you are, then the URL should look something like the following.

    http://site.com/?product_cat=featured

    Hi,

    as far as i know there must be informations about..

    The privacy shortcode can only display information that are readily available in the local storage. And please note that not all these cookies are set by the theme. They can be from a plugin, an API or a third party script, so it’s not possible to have all the information about the cookies that a certain site will have.

    how i provide a user the buttons for accepting, refusing certain cookies

    This is a list of all the available privacy shortcodes that you can use in the privacy modal popup window or directly in your privacy page.

    // https://pastebin.com/RLGw1aqz

    To create a refuse/accept cookie button, you will need one or two of these shortcodes.

    [av_privacy_cookie_info id="" class=""] - adds a list about used and accessable cookies in domain with value and additional info about the cookie
    [av_privacy_accept_button wrapper_class="" id="" class=""]your button text[/av_privacy_accept_button] - adds an accept cookies button
    [av_privacy_accept_all_button wrapper_class="" id="" class=""]your button text[/av_privacy_accept_all_button] - adds an accept all cookies and services button
    [av_privacy_do_not_accept_button wrapper_class="" id="" class=""]your button text[/av_privacy_do_not_accept_button] - adds a do not accept cookies button
    [av_privacy_modal_popup_button wrapper_class="" id="" class=""]your button text[/av_privacy_modal_popup_button] - adds a button that opens the privacy modal popup window - you have to enable cookie consent message bar

    You can also configure them in the Privacy & Cookies panel — under the Buttons section of the Cookie Consent Message Bar settings.

    How can i show a user which cookies are planned to be set by my website before he agreed???

    You can either enable the privacy Modal Popup Window or try to direct your users in your privacy policy page by creating another button in the Cookie Consent Message Bar > Buttons panel. You can set the Button Action to Link to another page — your privacy policy page. There is also a boilerplate or a default setting for the modal popup window, which is pretty straightforward. You can use it as is or edit it as you wish.

    in reply to: enfold contact form debugging #1164771

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We can’t send the form without filling in the email field. Could you give us a screenshot of the messages without the email address? Do the messages look spammy? Try to include the email field value in the message subject/heading.

    function avf_form_subject_mod($subject, $new_post, $form_params) {
       $subject .= ' ' . urldecode($new_post['2_1']);
       return $subject;
    }
    add_filter('avf_form_subject','avf_form_subject_mod', 10, 3);

    in reply to: Google Analytics/ Tag Manager Cookies #1164769

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We are not really familiar with that extension, so we can’t really tell you anything aside from what we have already told you previously. In the screenshot above/below, no cookies are stored on page load — not from Google Analytics or from anywhere else. Have you tried checking the actual local storage in your browser?

    // https://imgur.com/a/IrOzwyP

    And the analytics tracker only collects the data once the cookies are accepted. Check the screenshot below.

    // https://imgur.com/a/PYjPHAY

    The analytics script doesn’t initiate the tracker when the essential cookies are not yet stored in the local storage and when the analytics privacy option is not enabled.

    in reply to: Mobile Font #1164767

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We can’t seem to reproduce the issue on our end. The proper font is applied to the heading and content elements as you can see in the style/css below.

    #top #wrap_all .all_colors h1, #top #wrap_all .all_colors h2, #top #wrap_all .all_colors h3, #top #wrap_all .all_colors h4, #top #wrap_all .all_colors h5, #top #wrap_all .all_colors h6 {
    	font-family: 'comfortaa', 'HelveticaNeue', 'Helvetica Neue', 'Helvetica-Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    	font-weight: lighter;
    }

    body#top {
    	font-weight: lighter;
    	font-family: 'comfortaa', 'HelveticaNeue', 'Helvetica Neue', 'Helvetica-Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    }

    Could you give us a screenshot of the issue?

    Hey Joe,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Where can we see an example of the text enclosed in the “mfn” shortcode? We didn’t find one in the home page. Please provide a direct link to the page or section containing this shortcode. A screenshot will help as well.

    Hey brightfunction,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Yes, this is usually cause by improper file/folder permission settings or a hidden error. You have to obey the following guidelines and activate the debug mode so that we can see the errors if there’s any.

    // https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-file-permissions/#example-permission-settings

    here’s how you can set the installation to debug mode.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The theme dynamically creates the burger/mobile menu based on the current Main Menu. Did you set the menu as the main menu? We couldn’t access the site because of the following prohibitions.

    in reply to: Post Related Entries ,how to show full title? #1164755

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    You have to modify the wp-content\themes\enfold\includes\related-posts.php file, look for this code around line 109:

    if(!empty($title_short)) $related_post->post_title = wp_trim_words($related_post->post_title, 17);

    Remove the wp_trim_words altogether or adjust the num_words (number of words) parameter value from 17 to a higher value.

    in reply to: Move blog sidebar to below featured image #1164747

    Hey Mary,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    This is possible, but it might require a lot of style changes. You have to modify the single.php file and remove the get_sidebar function from there, then transfer the function in the includes > loop-index.php. Look for the title or featured image markup inside the template and add the get_sidebar function below.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    in reply to: Featured image size #1164745

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The theme should automatically resize the featured image to 835x321px. Did you change the size of the “entry_without_sidebar” thumbnail? Please try to remove the image from the media library, then upload it again.

    Best regards,

    in reply to: Menu and mega menu styles different #1164742

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    This is the default style of the mega menu items.

    #top #header .avia_mega_div > .sub-menu > li > ul > li a {
        width: auto;
        float: none;
        display: block;
        border: none;
        padding: 3px 12px;
        font-weight: 400;
        height: auto;
        line-height: 23px;
    }

    While this is the style the default menu items.

    #top .av-main-nav ul a {
        width: 100%;
        height: auto;
        float: left;
        text-align: left;
        line-height: 23px;
        padding: 8px 15px;
        font-size: 12px;
        min-height: 23px;
        max-width: none;
        text-decoration: none;
        font-family: inherit;
    }

    #top .main_menu .menu ul li > a {
        color: #fff;
        font-weight: 600;
    }

    They differ in font weight and size. You can use the same css code to override the default styles.

    in reply to: Footer printing html instead of ALB content #1164741

    Hi,

    Thank you for following up.

    Try to edit the footer.php file, look for this code around line 48:

    $footer_widget_setting 	= ! empty( $footer ) ? $footer : $footer_options;

    Below, add this code:

    if(is_singular('wp_router_page')) {
        $footer_widget_setting = 'all';
    }

    This should display the default footer when a wp_router_page item is currently displayed.

    Hi,

    So Enfold-customers must decide if they want good SEO or a responsive website??

    As we’ve said, the theme is SEO-friendly, but it is up to the site owners or developers to make the site fully optimized for search engines. It’s all about the content. If you don’t know where to start, there are a lot of free SEO tutorials out there — Yoast’s documentation for example.

    Do you agree that one part of responsiveness is to save bandwidt for users???

    Yes, we agree. This is why we created the following articles to help users optimize their site.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We can’t make the filter work in your installation as it works on our own. As you can see in the screenshot below, the “datePublished” key is removed from the $markup array.
