Hi Spiv,
The animation will happen automatically with the Easy Fullwidth Slider but not the adjustable slider. I believe its because of the difference in how the animation is coded that it wasn’t added to the regular easy slider (since it can adjust to various layouts/uses).

Devin
Adding the code directly is a very poor way to do it unless you are writing functions to filter posts and add it at the end. You’ll also then need to be responsible for updating the code and keeping it working correctly.
However, if that is the route you want to go, you can add it to the loop files in the includes folder of the theme files. If that doesn’t make sense to you just by looking at the files, you’ll need to look into a freelance developer.
Also keep in mind our queue system on here goes by oldest post in a topic, so self bumping/responding to a post actually means it takes us longer to respond.
Hi Spiv,
You can change them and then hit Save all changes at the top or bottom of the theme options. Other than that, no there aren’t any theme built profile saves or anything like that.

Devin
Hi hankin,
That is the only demo data available, which has just about everything that the theme demo has. If you have any questions about items that aren’t identical just let us know.
There are just items in the live demo that aren’t able to be given out freely (images specifically).

Hi Shinkiron,
Can you provide some additional context for the error? Where is it coming up, what activities are were you doing at the time and any other details that might help us.

May 20, 2013 at 8:12 pm in reply to: Arrows for portfolio images not working in internet explorer? #120195Hi agarkitekter,
I believe its a css effect that IE doesn’t support. IE10 might at this point however, but I don’t have it to test right now.

Hi dweb,
I’m not sure if you meant to reply to this topic or one of the others you have open on the same issue, but as Dude said above and I in one of your others: setting the featured image should fix your issue. Just make sure its done on each of your portfolio items.

Devin
The screenshot doesn’t actually show the url field. Does the issue happen if you put a placeholder in the field like the # symbol?
Hi aweterings,
Much more clear now thank you. I’ve tagged Kriesi on both topics and hopefully find the root cause and a fix for it.

Hi Wolfie,
Is this using the 1.4 version of Enfold that is on Themeforest right now (the style.css I believe still shows 1.3.1 but its been updated to 1.4) ?
In the mean time, you can use a regular page and use shortcodes to create the same layout the Advanced Layout editor provides.

It looks its just the testimonial link field with a url that has not been fully filled in. Check that item and delete anything in the URL field for the testimonial link.

Hi louiskoo,
You could try changing the pages to no page selected in the WooCommerce Settings>Pages section. Though I’m not sure if that will have the effect you are looking for.

Hi batsirai,
Jürgen is correct, once you set a custom menu in Appearance>Menus, it should be added automatically.

Hi John,
Make sure the section that is set to display the blog has all your categories selected. You can try removing it and then re-adding it as well.
If you can give us a link to the page as well as a description of your settings for it we can dig a bit deeper if the above doesn’t work.

Devin
Hi mgma,
No, wordpress will not as far as I know. If you insert a link to a document at http://yoursite.com/dev/myfile.pdf and then change the wordpress directory to be in your root, the file will be moved and the link will stay the same.

Devin
I’ve tagged the topic for Ismaels Queue so he can easily respond.

Hi Amirb,
I believe it has to do with elements not visible on the screen and forcing the browser to change view. I’ll tag the topic for Kriesi to look at as I’m not sure this is fixable or not with how the browser renders content.
Can you provide a link to your site so I can test it on iPad and see what might be going on?

Devin
May 20, 2013 at 1:21 pm in reply to: Custom Taxonomy Archive Template Doesn't Think I Have Posts #120075Hi GusRuss89,
First try switching to something like Twenty Twelve theme or Twenty Eleven and try out your custom post type and category. That way we can see if its a theme integration issue or your code.

Devin
The email address is correct but I believe you have already gotten an answer on why the issue is happening. The portfolio items need to have a featured image set for each of them for the whole category issue to work.
Hi KyrreTex,
I would suggest uploading via FTP if you are having issues. I did a video walkthrough here: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927356

Hi Andy,
Which phone specifically? I’m not having any issues on my end when testing your site live right now so it could be a phone specific issue or even a phone+browser if you are running a non default browser on the phone as well.

Devin
Hi dweb,
Please do not make multiple posts for the same issue. You’ve made 4 posts on this same issue and causes issues with our ability to respond and for others to search for solutions.
Regards,
Devin
On the right hand side of the visual editor is a wordpress meta box named “Featured Image”. If you don’t see it, go to the top right of your screen and click the Screen Options tab. Check the box for Featured Image then close the tab and you should now see the featured image box.
You just click on Set Featured Image and it will prompt you on setting one.

Hi slee7329,
Try changing the option in your General Settings of the theme settings for Responsive Layout to “Responsive Layout Default” instead of the large layout.
There are currently some issues with the larger layout which need to be addressed.

Devin
Hi goodplum,
I’ll mark the topic for Kriesi but often times there will be errors logged even when they have no real consequences that need to be addressed asap.

It really depends on the final presentation you are looking for. A full width image slider will work but its still an image slider. You could even use a wordpress gallery grid if you want them to show up as a grid of images or any of the other image display options.
With how open ended the idea is, you really could do just about any option.

Hi All,
Can you try deactivating all active plugins and trying the same thing. I know there have been a lot of issues with conflicts between plugins and the editors on the advanced layout editor.

If you can create a temporary admin account for me, I’ll log in and take a look.
You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn’t grab it :)

Hi formateins,
I understand that you get frustrated when something doesn’t work as you expect it, but there is no reason to get hostile. We are trying to help and understand the issue as best we can.
From your screenshots above, you point out the tabs but offer no explanation. Its pretty easy to see that and have no idea what you are referring to as an issue.
If we were to try and recreate every screenshot that was submitted with no context on what we are looking for as an issue, we would never be able to answer anyone.
Regards,
Devin
