    I think we are crossing wires. I’m not talking about headlines. I am talking about LayerSlider, I am trying to change the font the Sliders use. LayerSlider says I can put in a font name where it says ‘font’, and that it uses whatever the theme has installed or plugin. So I am trying to use one provided by the theme, but no go.

    How can I change the font on the LayerSlider layers?

    #117821

    The theme will not load all fonts but only the selected headline font – in your case it loads Open Sans: http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,600

    If you want to use another font – yes I’d install the google fonts plugin. But please keep in mind that each font file will slow down your website and it’s probably not a good idea to load several different font files just for one or two headlines…

    Still a no go on the fonts, I compiled a list of all the fonts found in styling section, however, none of the fonts show up on my LayerSlider when I put in a font name. For example: Damion, Alice, Allerta, etc. none of them work. Is there something I am not doing right? Should I just install the google font WP plugin?

    Topic: Updating to 1.4

    I don´t think it’s described very clearly how you update the theme.

    I have the 1.3 version up and running, and I watn to update to 1.4

    But how do I do that? Can I just install the theme, or do I have to ftp?

    What about all the changes I made to the theme, like colors, layersliders, footers etc.?

    Maybe you should make a short guide

    It seems like the slider calculations don’t work properly with the buttons – the slider just shifts the button and hides the overflow on the right if the button width exceeds the slider dimensions. On the other hand we can’t reposition the button because the slider calculates the position dynamically. I’ll tag this for Kriesi because I see no way to fix it with css and tbh I’m not even sure if we can get this to work at all. For now I’d suggest to place the button in the horizontal center of the slider.

    in fact, the difference is obvious, just have a look at the ie8 picture, the left of the text “Super Flexible Layout Builder” is beyond the width of the content, while in the ie10 picture, there is still a lot of space left from the left, pls. check.

    the font style is controlled by the css code below, pls. advise what can be done to achieve it to work under ie10 and ie8.

    box-shadow: 0px 4px 10px -5px black; text-shadow: none; font-weight: normal; opacity: .65; width:140px; text-align:left; filter:alpha(opacity=65);

    I don’t have such problem with other themes for the layerslider, so it shall be something with your theme.

    #117149

    To be honest I couldn’t find any obvious differences between the screenshots. Can you point them out please? Do you mean the transparency effect?

    Personally I’m not familiar with the LayerSlider code and I’m not sure if we can fix this. I’ll report it to Kriesi though – maybe he knows a solution. If not we’ll report it to the devs of LayerSlider: http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-wp-the-wordpress-parallax-slider/1362246

    Hi!

    1) Yes, you can enter any valid css code.

    2) A complete list can be found on the Theme Option page. (Enfold > Styling > Header Font).

    Best regards,

    Peter

    Greetings,

    I know the LayerSlider is simply ‘included’ and I apologize for what is probably such a easy answer. Where can I find more examples of what can go in the Custom Styles box? Is it just any css codes?

    Also where does it pull the fonts from that is allowed in the fonts box (LayerSlider)? Google Web Fonts? I would like to change the fonts of some of the text LayerSlider uses but not sure where to find a font listing it allows.

    edit: I learned LayerSlider uses the font installed/available by the theme or plugins, so w/o installing the Google Fonts Plugin, how can I just get a list of fonts available from the enfold theme?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

    Great Theme, Thank You!

    I have a small problem, when I insert a shortcode button to layerslider it’s not responsive. How do I make it responsive?

    Thank You!

    #117713

    Sure.

    If you go to your theme demo and scroll down the homepage, you’ll notice that it’s not particularly smooth, the scrolling is very “blippy” or “choppy” if you will. Just to give you something to compare, if you go to http://www.apple.com/iphone/ and scroll down their page, you’ll notice that it’s not choppy at all and that scrolling down the page is very smooth.

    I was thinking the problem on my site was the speed of my hosting provider, so I checked your theme demo to see if it was choppy too and it is. In ruling out that this is a server issue, I’m now guessing it has something to do with all of the content that’s continuously loading (like the LayerSlider and Image Fade in Animation) while scrolling down the page. So…In the Advanced Layout Editor, I turned the Image Fade in Animation off on my site and it’s still choppy and I can’t figure out what the problem is?

    Basically, I’d like to have the site scroll as smooth as possible to give the user the best experience possible.

    Any ideas here to reduce this “blippy” or “choppy” behavior if not fix it completely?

    Cheers!

    Hi,

    Try this one on your custom.css

    .page #layerslider_1 {
    padding-top: 75px;
    }

    Gave up on the LayerSlider ;-)

    EasySlider seems to be working. However, I would like to change the size. It just takes too much of the home page.

    Where do I change the size? I would like to keep it at about 200px tall.

    thanks.

    #117148

    Hi, pls. advise what shall be done to correct this, thanks! this problem also exists on your own demo page.

    #117427

    Hi,

    Edit the layer , go to Styles > Layout and Positions. Try to specify a certain width on the text block.

    The easy slider does not support it, I’m not sure if the LayerSlider supports it. You can try to add your form code (html code) into the html field:

    See picture

    and see link

    The original picture shows the red banner and text in it smaller and to the left. But the real homepage, the red banner and text in it is a lot bigger and to the right.

    Hi,

    Go to LayerSlider WP > Select “Enfold – most beautiful theme ever” slider > Global Settings > Basic > Layers Container. It will constrain the elements to a specified width and keep it centered. Suggested width is 800. You may have to adjust the position of some layers.

    Regards,

    Ismael

    #116969

    I believe I have the same problem. I cloned the “Enfold – the most beautiful theme ever” slider and if I see it on a landscape monitor and then on my iMac, I find that the center of my slider space changes. In other words, I cannot center a word or an image properly. I think it depends on something gone wrong with responsiveness. The background picture is responsive but not the objects layered on it.

    Hi Alex,

    For the color section, you could try using an horizontal ruler element and setting it to Whitespace and a custom height you want.

    The slider issue is a bit more complex. We would need to see it live to see whats going on and then possibly do some custom css tweaks if the built in elements can’t provide a solution.

    Hi Michael,

    Which slide and slideshow are you trying to effect specifically? If you can point it out directly we can both bug test it and provide the correct direction :)

    Hi jeffcrain,

    Can you take a screenshot of the settings for each and provide a link so we can take a look and try to re-create the same issue?

    #116851

    Hi,

    @jwferne: Thanks for the tip.

    @Nuv: I already told you the solution. Please go to LayerSliderWP > General Settings > Basic > Layers Container. Adjust the width of the slider container. It will constrain the slider elements to a specified width. You might need to adjust the position of the elements.

    Hi,

    Edit the ABOUT page. Go to Advanced Layout Editor then insert the Advanced LayerSlider. Then click Content Elements tab and insert the Blog Posts element. It is up to you to arrange the layout. It works on my end.

    Ismael

    #116912

    Actually let me clarify.

    Say I have a page called ABOUT. On the left, under ENFOLD tab, I can set that as my homepage. Great! Then I add the layer slider via the advanced them editor. Works great. But then say I go to the ENFOLD tab, and also want the blogs to display on the ABOUT page (so my blogs are on the homepage), I get an error that says

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function layerslider_init() in /usr/home/codemaster/public_html/hardrule.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/slideshow_layerslider.php on line 119

    Hi,

    So I learned you can get the layerslider to work on a PAGE by going to a page and clicking advance theme editor then selecting it under the media tab recently. Thats great it works for that PAGE, but how do I get it to work on the HOMEPAGE of a site?

    The instructions on how to load the layerslider on the site all dont work for me… the short cut code and adding the php code to the actual page both do not render!

    Hi all. First off, this theme is fantastic, really love it.

    For colored sections, where you place a static image as the background so its like you are looking through a window (Meet The Team page in Enfold theme), is there a way to make the default window larger? I don’t want to add text into it or any other elements, I would just like teh actual vertical size to be larger. Possible?

    Second is with the LayerSlider WP designer. I’m running into an issue with my foreground elements not always behaving nicely with my background. Basically I’m using a bg image where I want to feature the center of the image, and ideally keep the foreground elements from crowding over it if the browser window gets too small.

    To clarify all this, I have uploaded screenshots, see the link below. You will find one that demonstrated the color section issue, and 3 for the LayerSlider WP issue (one thats correct, and one that shows how it formats ugly when the window is too small and too large).

    THANKS YOU IN ADVANCE for all your help, couldn’t do it without everyones wonderful insight.

    Best,

    Alex
