Hi!
I got it, 342 x 276 would be it.

Best regards,
Josue
Hey!
Yes, there was an error with the compiling, i tested now with this grid.css and it creates a 980px width container, see image below:

Cheers!

Hello Andy,
As far as I know the advanced layout editor can’t support outside hosted images because of the way it interacts with the data live. I’ll tag Peter and Kriesi and see if they have looked into anything like it.

Devin
Hi yuravw!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options
.js_active .grid-image { opacity: 1; }
Best regards,
Yigit
Loving the Enfold theme so far but have a minor issue I’ve not been able to solve.
I’m using Enfold v2.2 and have created a sortable portfolio page here… http://www.berkshireeyesurgery.co.uk/eye-surgery-videos/ however the sortable menu/links are not showing. You can see that they are there if you use Firebug but they’re invisible otherwise.
I’ve used this code to insert the portfolio grid:
`[av_portfolio categories='31,32,33,34' columns='3' items='15' contents='title' preview_mode='auto' image_size='portfolio' linking='' sort='yes' paginate='no']
There are a total of 5 portfolio items – 1 is assigned to category id 31, 2 to cat id 32, 1 to cat id 33 & 1 to cat id 34 and so there are definitely options there which need sorting.
Any ideas please?
Hi there,
Loving the Enfold theme!
I just have one problem:
I’ve created a portfolio page using the layout builder – I have used the portfolio grid element to create a sortable portfolio.
I have also started to create the portfolio items, each with a featured image… however, when I navigate to the portfolio page, no featured images are pulling through, only the titles.
Have looked everywhere to make sure I haven’t missed anything obvious, but can’t figure it out.
Please help??
Hey that was even quicker reply than normal :)
Can i ask a dumb question then..
When I set the featured image for these I used the largest image I had normally in a 16:9 widescreen Tv format and at least 1280 x 720 to cover all sizes, but Enfold automatically crops the image for me, it doesn’t keep the 16:9 format and chops the sides off which end up a 4:3 format
which is fine as long as all thumbs are the same height, but they certainly aren’t square, that is why I ask for the height enfold has automatically cropped them to,
OR how do I keep the thumbnails in a widescreen format which would be good?
Many thanks again

I want to make a portfolio page. But I do not see the images..?
I placed the image in; featured image.
What do I do wrong?

Hey!
You can choose the height you want, obviously you would want to make all of them the same height, i’d recommend a square, 343 x 343.
Cheers!
Josue
perfect thanks.. and do you know the height ?
I want to make them the right ratio so there is not squash or stretch, cheers!
Hello,
I am working with the enfold theme and I love it! I have a question though. My thumbnails for recent posts on the homepage are showing different sizes. How can these featured images remain consistent?
Thanks
Hi, you can see the screenshot of the errors in Chrome v29 http://bit.ly/16QlCie
my test site http://lapolla.dreamhosters.com/
the two plugins i’m using are Gravity Forms and the top bar is from “Nice Notifications” http://codecanyon.net/item/nice-notifications-wordpress-notification-bars/5061498
Header:
I have a custom gradient that appears fine when I’m at the top of the screen for the background of the header. However, once I scroll down and the menu sticks and becomes smaller, the background disappears and just the white background color shows. Firefox v24 and IE9 the background gradient follows as you scroll down.
For the content on the page, the “Advanced Slider”, and any custom images used in “Color Content” are blank. I’ve cleared my cache a good 10 times, reset my computer 2x, still nothing shows. Both Firefox v24 and IE9 show the content.
Hi midischool!
I managed to make it work using the lite version [ http://wordpress.org/plugins/social-gallery-lite/ ] of the plugin. I upload the plugin but I didn’t configure any options. Tested a post with an image and the plugin’s lightbox works including the fb comment box on the right side of the image.

You also need to disable the native lightbox plugin of Enfold which is prettyPhoto to avoid conflict. Edit js > avia.js, find this code:
//activates the prettyphoto lightbox
if($.fn.avia_activate_lightbox)
$(container).avia_activate_lightbox();
Replace it with:
//activates the prettyphoto lightbox
//if($.fn.avia_activate_lightbox)
//$(container).avia_activate_lightbox();
Best regards,
Ismael
Is there a way to over ride not being able to place an advanced layer slider into a color section?
I want the layer slider to be transparent, and the background image to be fixed so that scrolling through the site creates a parallax effect.
Hey wayneftruax!
I’m sorry but I don’t see any problem on the site. When I click a portfolio item on this page http://kokko-design.com/residential-design-services/, it directs me to a page with a gallery. I clicked the gallery images and the lightbox pops up fine. Where is the faded image? Can you give us a screenshot of the issue?
Cheers!
Ismael
Hey jdrakeproductions!
Can we see the site and example section live? The only delay in loading the photos is going to be from the size of the images and the rate at which the server responds with the data.
If its an ajax portfolio section then the entire content of that page needs to load in when the user clicks on the portfolio and only doing one item at a time isn’t really doable.
Best regards,
Devin
Hello!
Do you have the Sell Media plugin? Or any other plugins for that matter? Please deactivate all of them then try to upload an image, see if it works.
Cheers!
Ismael
Hi promowl!
The best thing we can recommend is to use a plugin like w3tc, WP Super Cache and to make sure your images are all optimized to use the lowest possible file size while still keeping their quality.
Best regards,
Devin
Hey!
I’m sorry but I don’t understand the question. What image link are you trying to set manually?
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi!
Add a Color Section then give it a unique ID for example “wave-section”. Apply the wave image as background image then configure the Color Section as follows:
Background Image Position: Top Center
Background Repeat: Stretch to Fit
Background Attachment: Scroll
Section Padding: No Padding
For Developers: Section ID: wave-section
Go to Quick CSS field or edit custom.css, add this code to move the section upwards until it covers part of the section above:
#wave-section {
margin-top: -50px;
}
Cheers!
Ismael
Thanks Ismael, unfortunately as currently setup it’s a gradient so repeat wouldn’t look good. Is there any way to get to stretch in ie8, or to set a rule so that if not stretching the image is just not shown?
Hey Josh!
Sorry for the late reply, your email arrived in Spam for some reason, i performed a quick test and the widgets appears to be working as expected see images below:

Remember to close the span and the div tag.

Also Yigit,
The gallery is set to open in lightbox,Yes. however the images only open in a new window. ????
Thx again,

Well i had the exact problem, i using MAXcdn and the Enfold Theme, which looks great in nearly every Browser but not in Firefox.
I was told by the Support team, that i should Base64 encrypt the Font file. which didn’t work @all. Thanks to the Support of MAXCDN i got a very easy solution, i wanted to share this with everybody who has the same Problem with Enfolds use of Webfonts.
Just add this code, to your .htaccess file and your good to go

Thanks Yigit, yes this worked for the slideshow.
will a similar code work for the gallery images which also are not fully visible, just faded?
Thx.
Wayne
-Image dispay within a tab results in reset of all the tabs.
-A Switch between code an visual view in one of the content elements will make all the text go blank (white).
Browser used: FF 24
Actually… Ive just tried NextGen, OmniGallery, API Flickr and Media Manager Plus and none of them work within your page builder.
Can you tell me how I can use hosted images (mainly Flickr & Instagram) within the page builder? By this I mean as single, multiple or as part of a gallery or slider?
i can see how to use them as blog posts but my main need is within my portfolio and gallery sections

Hello!
For #1, this is the only way to accomplish this using the theme functions. The ID you use must be no spaces and just plain text. Just like in the image example above with the word contact.
The color section then outputs the anchor into the html so that when a user clicks on a link with #contact at the end of it, the user is taken to that anchor in the browser.
#2) Version 2.3 will let you add your own selections from fontello as icon fonts but right now there isn’t a youtube icon that comes with the theme.
#3) We don’t have any recommendations for that kind of plugin at the moment.
The new questions:
1) You can edit the footer/socket in the theme options Footer section. You can remove the backlink by adding [nolink] to the copyright field.
2) Homepage #7 isn’t using the easy slider for the main slideshow. Its the full screen slider. The easiest way to add color to the captions would be to do it with inline styling right in the images caption options. For example I just tested using:
<div style="color:red;">Caption Title with HTML styling</div>
<div style="color:red;">Some text with styling info</div>
The theme will add some break tags onto the title and it looks a bit off in the back end but it works on the front end.
For general server questions and domain issues you would be best suited to talking to your hosting and looking into a plugin like this one to export your wordpress database: WP MIGRATE DB

Hi there,
I have most of my photos kept within either Flickr or Instagram. I just tried to use media manager plus to enable access to third party photo streaming sites and Enfold doesnt work with it. The thing is I dont want to have to host locally so I was wondering what plugins work with Enfold?
Media Manager Plus enables me to manage both folder structures as well as give me access to the likes of Flickr, 500px and Instagram. Using only a dozen or so images in a site probably would need such things but as I want to put up a lot I really need media management control.
Media Manager Plus work within the normal WP layout page but as soon as it goes into the page builder it doesnt work
Can you help
Cheers
Andy
