    Hi Ismael,

    As I tried to explain in my previous message, the logo issue occurs after loading the page and then you narrow the browser (from i.e. 1000px to 300px) by hand. If you load the page directly no matter the browser window width (i.e. 300px), the logo is shown ok. Maybe is a problem of the responsive framework itself.

    About the image rendering, take a look to your capture: the logo is ok but the LayerSlider is so pixelated. What browser are you using? Could you definitely check this issue, please? No matter the good theme Enfold is if the images cannot show up at their best quality in most popular browsers.

    And the last question -that no one has answer it yet, is how to change the way the images pile up in responsive from 1-2-1-2 to 1-1-1-1. Example:
    logos

    As you can see in that capture, when the window is narrow the logos appear that way 2-1-2 instead all at the same size and 1-1-1-1-1 in one column. Do you know how to change it?

    Regards.

    Hey Devin,

    I´m sorry. It seems that it was a caching problem on my iPhone.

    In the Theme-Options I changed today the settings from “little featured Image”(first option) to multi-author with the big-image and the small author on the side (third option).

    It seems that it just don´t show the small picture from first option, but now It works with the big one above the article.

    It´s fine, so sorry, please close. Thanks!

    Hey Bruno!

    Can we see a sample post live where that is happening? I don’t know of any blog layouts where the featured image gets hidden on mobile only.

    Cheers!

    In it’s most simple form, I take a copy of single.php – rename it to single-report.php – and it get’s picked up – there appear to be two issues though – both of which must be easily solvable

    1 – the opening article tag …

    <article class="post-355 report type-report status-draft hentry category-workshops tag-owls tag-wales post-entry post-entry-type-standard post-entry-355 post-loop-1 post-parity-odd post-entry-last multi-big " itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="http://schema.org/CreativeWork">

    has report in the second element of the class … which means that it renders with all the text slammed right to the left hand side – whereas posts have it nicely indented so that the gravatar is effectively in a nice column of it’s own, along with the dotted line. Via Safari Inspector, I know that if I change the article rage where is states the class is ‘report’ to ‘post’ it all snaps into place correctly – as per below

    <article class="post-355 post type-report status-draft hentry category-workshops tag-owls tag-wales post-entry post-entry-type-standard post-entry-355 post-loop-1 post-parity-odd post-entry-last multi-big " itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="http://schema.org/CreativeWork">

    So what do I need to add to my CSS to have ‘report’ act in the same indented fashion as ‘post’?

    2 – All my single-whatever.php templates read Blog at the top left – how can I have this pick up the post type that is in use, so reports read report – client-gallery reads Client Gallery, etc

    Many thanks in advance – I have an image here of the issues noted above so you can visually see what my issues are

    Hey Guys from kriesi.at, which you all a happy new year!

    Is it possible to display the feature image from a single post above the text on smartphone?

    We use a multi author blog with the settings for an multi author single post (big image above and little author image on the left), but if we look the single post on smartphone, the feature image isn´t display. Is there a way to change this?

    It works fine on tablet..

    We work with the newest version of enfold..

    Best regards!

    Hey!

    This is what I see when I resize the browser. The logo is beside the slide down menu. Is this fixed?

    You will need to add in the image however you normally would. The shortcodes are column containers and will constrain the image to fit inside of it.

    You can add the shortcodes yourself by clicking on the magic wand icon in the buttons whenever you are using the regular visual editor.

    Devin, on its face, this seems like a good idea. Thanks for doing that for us.
    Before I try it, can I ask a couple of questions?
    Where I see <your image>, does that mean the url of the image?
    And does that mean the image will automatically resize? Remember, that’s the most important component of this setup — the editors don’t have any way to edit photos and I don’t see anything in the theme that allows us to do that easily, but I could be missing something.
    Look forward to your thoughts. You’re the best!

    Thanks Devin. Unfortunately this means that we’ll have to re-upload all of the portfolio images since it looks like you have to set the position when you upload each image. I was hoping I could change the position using the functions.php file and then re-create the thumbs using a thumbnail rebuilder.

    Update: After changing the crop position I was able to use another plugin to recreate the thumbnails. I did not have to reupload anything.

    I’d like to continue this topic on the question of formatting the default “Blog” page.. Like the original author, I wanted to customize my blog page with a simple intro text and image. Clearly using the default option in Enfold->Them Options needs to be deselected, and that works… BUT…

    When I click on the individual blog postings, the title and URL in the sub-header for each of them defaults to “Blog – Latest News” and the URL points to the homepage. I need it to go back to the original blog page.

    Suggestions?

    I have screenshots of websites I’ve created and want to use them in the portfolio gallery. The default behavior for the gallery thumbnails is to crop and center the image which cuts off the top of the screenshot. I would like to have the thumbnails cropped from the top of the image.

    http://preview.estlanddesign.com/portfolio-item/

    On the portfolio single page I would like to use the full size image instead of the resized image.
    For example I’d like to use
    http://preview.estlanddesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/vr_website.jpg
    instead of
    http://preview.estlanddesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/vr_website-495×400.jpg

    What would be the best approach to modifying the portfolio pages to accomplish this?

    #204138

    If you just want the image centered you can use any of the other sliders included as elements with the advanced layout builder.

    With LayerSlider, you aren’t just creating a single slideshow but instead a complex stage with lots of characters that all have to arranged. So your big background image needs to be a part of that stage how you want it to get placed. The size doesn’t really matter.

    The plugin has all of its documentation included inline if you hover over fields as well as if you click the “Help” tab in the top right corner of the screen.

    Make sure to also read the descriptions of each of those fields in the Basic global settings. The “Layers” container for instance is the pixel width of the “layers” in your individual slide. If you set that to 800px then the contents of your slide will never go beyond 800px.

    Hi chryseis!

    Just like here on the forums when you link to an image the theme attempts to grab it and open it in a lightbox. You can tell it not to by adding noLightbox to the link.

    See: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/prevent-image-or-link-from-opening-in-a-lightbox/

    Regards,
    Devin

    #204133

    No matter what size I use in the container it will not keep the image centered. The image size is 1920×470.

    Other sliders I have used will just got off the sides and keep the banner centered. No really sure where to go.

    Thank you for your help

    #204132

    Mine are just an example. It depends on the size of your images, the container and what layout you are using. They should be adjusted to fit your needs specifically.

    Hi,

    I have published some wallpaper for my readers to download. I have put the pictures on my dropbox and use the links in order to share those images.
    The problem is , when I put the link on my wordpress, it does as if it wanted to open it in a lightbox and give a error message.
    I have inserted the link as usual and ask for it to open in new window…
    The only way my reader can access the file is to right click on the link and click open in new window.
    That’s not practical at all.

    How can I force enfold not to open my link in lightbox and allow my dropbox links to work?

    You can find the problem here
    http://www.calliframe.com/fonds-decran-de-janvier/
    You can click on the words: desktop tablette and mobile to see the problem..
    I tried with another site with a different theme and it works fine..

    Kind regards and happy new year ;-)

    You could do this with 3 1/3 column shortcodes pretty easily. It would look like this:

    [av_one_third first]

    <your image>

    Here is some text for this image and column.

    [/av_one_third]

    [av_one_third]

    <your image>

    Here is some text for this image and column.
    [/av_one_third]

    [av_one_third]

    <your image>

    Here is some text for this image and column.
    [/av_one_third]

    What Happens When I Change the Settings

    When I make the changes like you have them above, The alignment is now not correct on a 1920×1080 screen size. The image above is how it looks.

    Devin,
    Below is a sample of what I’d like to do.
    It’s essentially a “row” with three columns (or four or…).
    I need to make this simple for our editors because it will change every single day and they don’t have the time or technical skills to find a photo and edit it.
    I look forward to your thoughts.
    Thanks — and happy new year!

    Okay, this home page looks great in other browsers, but in Firefox, the Image which I have placed down toward the bottom or the page, the one that contains all of the grayscale logos (iHeart Radio, Fox 5, Shape, etc.), is way off the page, to the right, cut off – the whole container is off the page.

    Is there any resolution to this? Help! Thank you!

    Hi microhound!

    For that slideshow you’ll need to go to the “Global Settings’ and adjust the responsive options there. Eg for a full width set up using the sample slideshow I have:

    Thank you Peter,

    It works! But now in Safari when the image is resizing while scrolling the page, it is shown pixelated, although when the logo stops resizing, it renders ok. If you know any solution that works for all browsers, it would be perfect.

    But still there´s the issue when narrowing the browser window, as you can see in my captures, the top header (social icons and phone) pushes the header and the logo is hidden and the scale of the logo is bigger than expected. Trying a lot of options, I have figured out that this issue happens when you put something in Enfold > Header > “Phone Number or small info text”. Content in that field makes the logo bigger and that way it doesn´t fit into the header band. It only happens when narrowing the browser window by hand, not when the page open in a smartphone. Hope you know how to fix it.

    Regards.

    #204049

    Hey!

    Following code should improve the performance of image scaling for Firefox users

    #top .logo img, #top img, #top a img{
    image-rendering: auto;
    }

    Try to insert it into the quick css field.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi,
    Please look at the image. As you can see, the margins for the header, the first two modules and the rest of the site do not fite (I outlined the problem with the red brush). There is a huge gap above and below. How can this be fixed?

    #204010

    Hey!

    Please try to insert following code into the quick css field to fix the issue

    #top #header .avia_mega_div > .sub-menu > li.avia_mega_menu_columns_4{
    width: 250px;
    }

    Best regards,

    hey ismael.

    the endless loading is not in the layer itself, it’s on the regular page editor, the advanced page editor is no longer working, the page is loading endlessly and we can’t modify the pages to either add the images, layerslider, text,…
