  • Hi Ferdinand,

    Are you sure that you are logging into Themeforest with the same account which was used to purchase the license? If it is the correct account, then you would have to reach out to Themeforest support for further help with that, as we don’t manage any purchase details ourselves.

    Once you have access to the theme files, then the update to 4.9.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Hi
    can you please tell me a bit mor about your “Lazy Loading” features?

    For example:
    Which elements are influenced by Lazy Load?
    On which elements it should be used or not (on which it is more recommended than others)?
    What can happen in a bad case?
    How to check?
    Will it stay safe when checked once or do have to check every Enfold update?
    …and so on

    thanks

    Hello,

    I am currently working on a website in development and every time I try to import fonts via the enfold import/export options it fails.
    I get the message: “Couldn’t add the font because the server didn’t respond. Please reload the page, then try again”
    and the console shows the following error: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 () /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_fs_blog_admin=true:1

    I already tried to deactivate all plugins, switching to the parent theme and updating enfold but nothing worked.
    The website is using PHP 8.1.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Gerry

    Hi Holger,

    1. The theme should be available for download in the Downloads section in your Themeforest account.

    2. Did you register your theme license, and did you generate a token for the backend? If not, then please try following this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    If you need further help, then please post admin WordPress login details in private.

    Best regards,

    Hey Chris,

    Did you register your theme license, and did you add a token to the theme backend? If not, then please follow this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/. If the updates are still not coming through after that, then please try to install and configure this plugin: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Hi Mike,

    It just worked, but because I needed the other icon I tried to change it and now it doesn’t.

    I also usually use different location for custom CSS Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS. Would you say that WordPress > Customize > Additional CSS is a better because the custom CSS does not have to be duplicated for different language or why did you use it otherwise?

    Best,
    Alex

    Hi Tamara,

    Thanks for the login details. First off, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.9.2.3) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. If not, then please try upgrading your PHP version to 7.4 or higher.

    Hello Mike,

    I did some tests in GTmetrix again and you are completely right, enabling lazy loading solves the issue of loading all images at once :)

    I had tried this before, but apparently I did something wrong then.

    Very happy with this solution, however 2 questions:

    1 – There is now a border around the “big” preview image; can I get rid of that border?
    2 – This option only works with the Enfold build in lightbox, and not with the “Lightbox with photoswipe” plugin (lightbox won’t open with the plugin enabled and Enfold lightbox disabled), while the plugin works fine with all other options).There will be nothing to do about that I guess?

    Someone from Enfold told me recently that photoswipe options will be added to the default Enfold lightbox. Any idea when that update is scheduled?

    Best Wishes,
    Alwin

    Hi,
    i had to change a theme to enfold because there are no updates anymore for the old one. Now i would like to make the desin a little bit similar to the original one. Is it possible to put the sidebar into a white box so that i have a liittle transparent space between the main box and the sidebar. There is a nice photo in the background that should be seen a little bit.
    And is it possible to make a transparent space under the menu?

    That would be perfect :)

    Many greetings rixi

    Hi,

    I love Enfold. More and more… But it would be really really great if there were a setting that editors could only change the content and not be able to make any further settings in the modules.

    Similar to the already existing function “Lock advanced layout builder” but for all other configuration settings except the content. All the other adjustments (like styling, layout etc.) should only be made by administrators.

    I would be interested to know if other users would like this feature as well.

    Cheers

    Hello,

    We bought your Enfold-Theme on 15 Oct 2015 and would like to update it; however, the purchase it not visible on our Themeforest/envato-market account. We are currently running on Enfold 3.5.4, and Enfold will break if we go beyond PHP 7.0.
    What can we do?

    #1351138

    Hi finchkelsey,

    I just tested this out on the latest version (4.9.2.3) and it still works.
    Can you tell us if you have the following things on your child theme:
    1. avia_include_shortcode_template function is added in your functions.php file, if not then grab the code here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#add-elements-to-alb
    2. Make sure that portfolio.php is located under this folder directory: enfold-child > shortcodes > portfolio
    3. Make sure that portfolio.php in (line 1128) code is using this code:

    $output .= ! empty( $excerpt ) ? "<div class='grid-entry-excerpt entry-content' " . avia_markup_helper( array( 'context' => 'entry_content', 'echo' => false, 'id' => $the_id, 'custom_markup' => $custom_markup ) ) . ">".do_shortcode($excerpt)."</div>" : '';

    If all of the things listed are already done and it’s still not working and the shortcode is verified to be working, then please create a new thread and give us temporary admin login credentials and put it in private content (since it is only visible to the moderators and thread creator) so we can check further on the issue.

    Best regards,

    Hi
    Sorry to ask the question here but I couldn’t find anywhere a place to ask it.
    My subcontractor (ascendo) bought the enfold theme and configured the API key but the theme cannot be updated. It shows: No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.5.2)
    There are XSS flaws that have to be fixed by upgrading the theme ASAP.
    Could you forward this email to anyone that can help resolving this issue?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards

    Any support for a plgin which we bought to go along with enfold?

    #1351119

    Hey NThiem,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You can use this code in the functions.php file to add the quantity buttons to the product overview page.

    add_filter( 'woocommerce_loop_add_to_cart_link', function( $html, $product ) {
        if ( $product && $product->is_type( 'simple' ) && $product->is_purchasable() && $product->is_in_stock() && ! $product->is_sold_individually() ) {
            $html = '<form action="' . esc_url( $product->add_to_cart_url() ) . '" class="avia-quantity-button" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">';
            $html .= woocommerce_quantity_input( array(), $product, false );
            $html .= '<button type="submit" class="button alt">' . esc_html( $product->add_to_cart_text() ) . '</button>';
            $html .= '</form>';
        }
        return $html;
    }, 10, 2 );

    Please make sure that the Enfold > Shop Options > Product layout on overview pages is set to Default or the very first option.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Sorry for the troubles. You may need to create a copy or a clone the site that is still using the Enfold theme so that we can check the issues properly. Which SMS plugin are you using? Please contact the plugin authors for additional assistance.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey ColinWalton,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Try to replace the content of the enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/slideshow/slideshow.js file with the code below.

    // https://pastebin.com/Z3qQCVfg

    Please make sure toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adjusting the JS file.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Thanks for the info.

    Have you tried using the Smash Balloon plugin and the other version of the Instagram widget? Please try to install and configure the Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed plugin, then insert the Enfold Child Instagram (Smash Balloon) widget.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    In reply to: Failed to Load Plugin

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    It might had been a cache issue. Please make sure to toggle or to temporarily disable the cache and compression plugins while doing site maintenance or during an update. If a new version of the theme is available and you don’t see it in the theme options or the dashboard, try to manually update the theme via FTP.

    Hello,
    We inherited a website with an Enfold-child theme.
    We can easily change all the configurations in the Child theme (colors, fonts etc). We designed a new home page. When we tried to apply the new page as the homepage in the Frontpage Settings, nothing happens. In the Pages, the old page is still marked as “Front Page”. It’s frustrating because we can’t made any progress on the site without the new home page.

    While exploring we also noticed that when we would access Appearance > Customize we would get a critical error: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    We re-purchased the theme in hopes that it will update properly and fix the issue – but no luck.

    Enfold version: 4.7.4
    PHP version: 7.3.33

    Thanks in advance,
    Tamara

    In our site https://mancusoricambi.eu/ when we add a new Woocommerce product, images files are uploaded with no problems but then Enfold is not able to correctly resize and use them.
    For example the file https://mancusoricambi.eu/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/carrello-elettrico-mancuso-ricambi-5.jpg is uploaded and it’s working fine but its resized version https://mancusoricambi.eu/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/carrello-elettrico-mancuso-ricambi-5-450×450.jpg is not working (filesize is 0) so it the “product image” in our shop does not work. This is the product page: https://mancusoricambi.eu/prodotto/carrello-elettrico-usato/
    this happens every time, with every new image added to the site.
    Is there a fix to this issue or is there a way to set Enfold to just use the original file instead than many different resize versions? Thanks for your help

    #1351089

    Hi,
    Thanks for the google search links but they both pointed to the same thread, thanks for the mockup it helps, but please note that the logo container is wrapped in the link so the image, Topic, Company, and Slogan will all be in the link.
    As far as I know, text in SVG is not searchable, if this is only for SEO why not just add title & alt attributes to the logo image to achieve this?
    Another option would be to not use the theme logo at all but use a header widget with a html widget so you can add the html layout just as you have in your mockup.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Rikard,

    The problem is still there, even after (temporary) disabling caching, minifying and combining JS/CSS (in both Enfold-settings and WP Fastest Cache).

    I updated Enfold to latest version. I tried both Google Chrome and Edge. Both same issue: animation between photos is not smooth and one or more photo’s on the right are not shown. After resizing browser window, all photo’s are correctly show. After a refresh/reload of the page, again the gallery doesn’t work as it should do.

    I hope you can help me out with this, I love this kind of gallery for my website.

    This is the gallery in the demo, I want to have on my site: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-dark-photography/portfolio-item/mauritius/

    Hi there, we are in beta for a new site. Over the last few weeks about 10 times so far we will come to the site and see that the images are not loading. Through trial and error we have determined that in Enfold> Performance if we toggle the ‘CSS file merging and compression’ and ‘Javascript file merging and compression’ enabled and back disabled the images come back for an indeterminate about of time, sometimes weeks sometimes days. We have to keep it ‘disabled’ because when it’s ‘enabled’ it causes errors and glitches to the visual layout. Do you have an idea what could be causing this issue?
