Hi,
I’m very pleased with the Enfold theme, but I have one (small) question:
How would I go about making bookmarks on a page that I can use for linking to specific sections?
I would love to create links as /product/#section1, /product/#section2.
The solution I’m tinking of is to be able to add a custom id to a layout element or a special heading, but if there is an other (smarter) solution, I’m happy to hear it.

Ok thanks for that. I also agree that they should be more open. Your gallery works well and I’m just getting help on sorting a few problems out so will stick with enfold gallery :-)

Edit. I’ve tried various methods to find the problem, but these have been in vain. For example, no logo (enfold logo), only the sidebar quick CSS, no social icons, no footer widgets or sockets…

No, I didn’t test it and tbh I doubt it works flawlessly without customization. I contacted the developers and asked them for a copy of the plugin to test it with Enfold and I just got two generic responses which basically told me it’s gpl licensed and I need to buy it to test it. As I don’t want to buy a plugin which I don’t need myself I dropped the ball at this stage. As long as the developers don’t want to cooperate with us I also won’t support it. In addition Nextgen 2.0 seems to be broken http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/nextgen-gallery and I’d not recommend to use it at the moment…

However, I just received an email to say there is an update. Do I downloaded the whole theme again and opened the Version.txt file. PLEASE can I ask that you format this in some way? …
Oh I just pasted some of the text and it formats itself here lol. OK will paste it into Word in the future.
Q: Is the only way to update via FTP ?
Q: If updating a Folder, I replace the whole folder right?
Q: How do I tell which version of the theme I currently have installed?
Q: I installed on WP 3.6 – am just using basic functions at the moment so presume I can carry on until you have a 3.6 update and don’t really need to bother with this current one?

Maybe you need to check the plugin configuration. If the search still points to http://my-site.com/?s=randomsearch the plugin doesn’t seem to work at all. You can use this plugin to maximize the search power of your website: SearchWP

its for sure enfold.. but the client wanted it simple… So on everything but Internet explorer It works fine… IE puts it over the home button almost like it blows it up 3x the size from 200 x 100 to 400 x 300…

Did that and still no joy. This was all working until I accessed the menus for the first time after updating to the latest Enfold.

As i ‘ve just seen in another topic, that it is apparently not possible to do revisions of portfolio items in the enfold theme.
At least not when they are built whit the visual editor.
1. Or does someone know a way to do revisions?
2. Can i duplicate (clone) a portfolio, when i want to create lots of portfolios with the same layout?

I have updated to Enfold 1.9.1 and WP 3.6 – however now when I go to select a menu I get a whole lot of “mess” as follows:

Latest update – looks like the Tippy plugin was clashing.
Would appreciate if someone can point me to a tooltip alternative to Tippy that won’t break Enfold.

Hi serverlift,
You will only need to update the specific files if you have already modified the theme files directly. If you’ve not opened them up and edited them for some reason then you can just upgrade following my video here: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750
Just make sure you’ve installed Enfold 1.9.1 and 3.6 will work correctly.

1.) We can’t give you free support for any third party plugins, you need to contact the plugin author for that.
2.) We’re not having any problem with Enfold Google Map Widget. Can you please implement the theme widget then give us a link to the page? We want to inspect it.

I have read through the 3.6 upgrade thread at https://kriesi.at/support/topic/wordpress-36#post-129724
I just want to make sure I understand it correctly. To successfully do the 3.6 upgrade I need to:
1. Re-download the Enfold file from themeforest.
2. Connect to my site via FTP
3. Consult the change log at the URL listed above and FTP all the folders listed therein into my site.
Please let me know if there is something I’m not understanding or something else that needs to be done.

I need to personalize some loops like loop-about-author or loop-index, adding some special heading, text hr etc.
I’d want to use the code and style of Enfold theme to create html elements. I noticed that each element has its own class and the common method shortcode_handler() where its arguments can be understood looking the builder settings.
The problem is that creating some element’s class object it generates error because the constructor requires some unknown parameters.
Sometimes, instead, calling the method shortcode_handler() as a static methods, it works but also requires the $meta parameter and so it throws a notice.
Is this the correct way to use Enfold functions to retrieve html/css code ?
Which is the best way to personalize some loops or create dynamic custom pages (eg, show the list of authors, in a beautiful way, with its avatar, name and description)

Hi! In my case i’ve installed Enfold on a fresh WP 3.6 and the contact form doesn’t send the email (or at least it’s never received, though Enfold confirms it) and the gallery doesn’t work in Chrome, but it does on IE10. It doesn’t work on iPad/Safari neither.

I am working with a real estate client using Enfold. On all of the pages sidebar goes as follows: Nested Pages Sidebar, The Custom Widget Sidebar, and the Displayed Everywhere Sidebar. All the pages are using this structure. However, for some pages the Nested Pages Sidebar and Custom Widget Sidebar don’t show up.
Here’s an example of the sidebars working correctly:

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Devin and any others who may be having this problem. I upgraded Enfold to 1.9.1 on WordPress 3.5 and that fixed it.

HI, I have a problem with easy slider too. Running 3.6 and 1.9.1 enfold. The slider stops after the second picture, but there are 4 pictures. I´am using Chrome. Testing IE the slider works.
Testimonial Slider only cycles one time
I have set up a testimonial slider with 2 testimonials set for 5 seconds and the page loads cycles through the testimonials once but does not restart like the Enfold demo theme does…
But looking at the Demo Data testimonials page in my test site it has 4 set up in it and it actually is stopping on the 2nd one when viewing the page…
