Topic: Main Manu issues
I am trying to mock-up a site and use a custom font, provided by TypeKit. I have installed Captain Typekit, which has worked in many other cases. It seems to work properly with almost all elements within Enfold, except the main menu, where no matter what css I put in custom, it still seems to override it.

I really wish you could completely disable the Google Fonts option. It would be a feature I would pay a premium for. Not everyone wants the same Google fonts.

In a fresh installation WP 3.7.1 and a fresh installation of Enfold) without customization its NOT possible to delete or rename portfolio categories.

Can you try fully deleting the theme from you server, deactivating all active plugins and then installing the theme via FTP following the video tutorial here: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927356

DevinI am talking abot a fresh installation (fresh enfold & fresh WP) and not about our customized one.
But Ok – maybe its better to ask for support directly in the comments from themeforest.
Maybe that helps to get some proper support which is more than just “did you try to start from scratch?” (thats a qoute from one of your collegues)and btw:

Again, I don’t understand what your issue is. Enfold does not have anything to do with how you have set up custom post types. We are not WordPress general support and if you have questions about custom post types, custom taxonomies or something like that we are just not the place to answer them.
If you have theme specific issues we’ll do our best to help. Misquoting us or trying to insinuate something that we have not said is not appropriate for the support forums so please keep that in mind.

in portfolio-items is a button “Bilder einfügen”
See screenshot.

But this Button does nothing except to remove the preview gallery.
So either it is a translation error and it should say “Bilder entfernen” (remove images) or it supposed to be a feature.
If its supposed to be a feature than please explain what feature that is – because it does not work in our installationHi
In Portfoilio items you have the option to put a preview gallery :
“Ajax Portfolio Preview SettingsIf you have selected to display your portfolio grid as an ‘Ajax Portfolio’ please choose preview images here and write some preview text. Once the user clicks on the portfolio item a preview element with those images and info will open.”At this point there is no option to set the image size.
Just the option to assign images over media-library.
The images shown in the frontend are totally blurred – independendally from the numbers of colums we have choosen.

BTW: just to avoid discussions….this uses the *un*-edited custom-post-type from Enfold -the portfolio.

I did what you say, i downloaded the theme again, but the same warning apears in the frontend:

Customizations with Enfold are not possible except a bit of CSS fumbling. Giving a buyer options to adapt Enfold to his / her needs was never planned and will not be in future. I really hope that its just a misunderstanding based on my rudimental english skllls.
A reply instead of close down this thread would be appreciated.BTW: we thought CPTs is a WP-standard since years – even tthe ability to have multiple of them.
To throw that functionality “over board” for the sake of some “drag & drop” functionality does not look very usefull to us.

I had reported this issue back in 2.3 that I’m finding it to still be true in version 2.4:

Essentially, I had found that a small but crucial PHP customization I had done at the suggestion of the Kriesi support team back at an earlier version of Enfold stopped working after version 2.3. Devin said it should have kept working in version 2.3, but after trying it repeatedly, I never got it to work. After multiple attempts, I simply gave up and reverted to version 2.2, to keep my website functional. Recently, I tried the customization (outlined here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-video-and-avia-layout-builder-in-ajax-preview/ ) again with version 2.4 of Enfold, and again I’m getting the same results.
The customization has partly “worked” in both cases, removing the left side of the AJAX preview area, which is where the preview image is housed by default. However, instead of opening up the whole preview area for content as it has under version 2.2, under versions 2.3 and 2.4, the rightmost area, limited to a third of the ajax preview width, is simply moved to the left. This leaves the right blank and crams all the content into a narrow column. That may be where the confusion lies… I’m not just concerned with getting rid of the default preview, but also with opening up the the preview area by having what is by default the right-most part actually span the entire width of the preview area. This has allowed me to use videos, and tweak my layouts in a number of ways.
Because of this issue has persisted under version 2.4, I want to ask again if there is a possible workaround, to address whatever may be causing my customization to not work. I should mention that other Enfold users had asked about my layout, and duplicated the steps I took, and are likely running into the same issue after upgrading. I have even had some email me directly. I really have no idea how to solve the issue myself though, but I’m hoping someone in the support team can help.
For now, I have reverted to version 2.2 again, since the upgrade would otherwise leave my site’s formatting a mess, at least for my project previews. I’m hoping to get this resolved so I can safely upgrade to 2.4 and future versions without redoing my site.

I see that it can redirect visitors back to the same page they logged in from. That is actually just what I needed too.I still hope Kriesi could add this Avia Login Widget to the Enfold WordPress theme that I’m using for my site, since it looks much better than the bbPress widget which I’m currently using.
I wonder how this was solved in the other post that I referred to above…

This is perhaps an odd and somewhat out of place question for this forum, but maybe I’ll get some insight as to what’s going on from a WordPress/Enfold point of view…..
So, I have a site, let’s call it mysite.com. There is a page titled ‘gallery.’ So, we have mysite.com/gallery. There is a menu on this gallery page listing other pages, such as ‘family gallery.’ So, now we have mysite.com/gallery/familygallery. On this family gallery page then there are several media element galleries inserted, let’s call them gallery 1, gallery 2, etc, which are not pages, they are media element galleries on the familygallery page. Each of these media element galleries contains a dozen images, let’s call them pix1, pix2, etc. These pix are not linked to anything.
Googlebot is showing 404 errors for urls like: mysite.com/gallery/familygallery/pix1, mysite.com/gallery/familygallery/pix2, etc. There are no errors with mysite.com/gallery/familygallery but there is whenever there’s a /pix extension, ie, mysite.com/gallery/familygallery/pix1.
Sitemap shows that only pages are indexed, not pictures. Although I could link the pictures to some page, then when a person clicks on the picture, it would not get larger, but rather go to that page, which I don’t want. Better they are not linked and can be clicked to enlarge.
So, I’m kind of in a quandary not knowing what to do regarding these error codes. It may just be the way it works. I understand this does not necessarily harm seo, but it may; more than that, they keep building up. It seems every week after a crawl, there’s more of these 404’s because of a ‘pix’ extension which ‘can’t be found.’Hope was clear enough…
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have no problem setting up your Enfold template in safari – all works fine.However when I test on Windows 7 IE8, as usual, I have problems.
I understand IE8 cannot handle CSS media queries which I understand is required for responsive sites and normally that is ok (they just use horizontal scroll bar). Using Enfold, I have set up a homepage slider (two slides) and content plus other pages – responsive operation all fine on safari but on IE8 the slider alone is responsive but the content on the same page is not. There is no horizontal scroll bar shown (I assume there should be normally).I dont understand how part of the site can be responsive (slider) but the content is not ? I am using animation on the slider similar to your demo site – all works fine on safari and IE except for 3D stuff.
I hope there is a simple explanation – something I am missing – if not I will send my URL later – site being set up on a test url.
Forgive me if this has been addressed – I could not find it on the forum.

Yes Devin…at last I must rebuild all my client website using default visual editor because he want to use comments on every page and post…maybe you should consider to give those comment option on the future update of enfold. I like this theme and I think I will use it again in the future but I hope someday this theme can be a perfect theme which can provide any option that your buyer needed

I am trying to help you here and really do not understand why are you getting angry with me. These are the steps you should follow in order to change the size from 180x180px to 300x300px

2) You said you know how to regenerate, but in case you have not tried, you can try this plugin i posted in my second post ( https://kriesi.at/support/topic/define-image-size-for-blogposts/#post-192053 )
3) Then you can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab#top.single-post .fullsize .single-small.with-slider .blog-meta { width: 300px; } .single-post .single-small.with-slider .small-preview { width: 300px; height: 300px; }And that is it, your image size should be 300x300px :)
