Topic: Gravity Forms and Enfold
Greetings!
I’ve been trying to create a lightbox type contact form window that would appear after pushing a button (“contact us”) by using Gravity Forms. There are several plug-ins that promise to do this, but it seems that all that I have tried are not compatible with this theme- graphics or position gets distorted. Is there an easy way to go about this?

SamiI’ve noticed that on my site the breakpoint for the mobile menu – menu toggle button – is activated at 767 px. When looking at the Enfold demo the breakpoint is at 990 px. I like to have the same breakpoint – 990 px. Now the menu is quite big and shows in front of the logo.
My Header Type is: Fixed Header with Social Icons and additional Navigation. I’ve tried the Non-fixed menu, but that doesn’t change the breakpoint.
Because the site in beta I cannot put any link here. Hope you can help me with it!

Hi Devin and thanks for your reply,
as the plugin defined allmost every aspect of it’s design it is pretty isolated from the theme’s design. Of course it uses similar element (like a search-button), but they are all defined in it’s own styles. As I’m not a CSS-pro I’m happy that I at least found out how to manually define the design for the plugin but as most of the elements are already defined in enfold’s design I thought there might be a way to just reference the design and say “match plugin-button-design with enfold-button-design” like some kind of nesting.
If that’s not possible via CSS could you give me at least an idea on how to optimize my approach… for example there is an element called “sabai-btn” I know how to change the color with this:
.sabai-btn {
color:#000000
}
but how could I set the color dynamically that it’s always the color that comes from Enfold’s selected color-scheme?

If you are using WordPress 3.6 you must be using at least Enfold 1.9.1 for all of the sliders to work correctly. You can update following the steps in this video: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

I would really love it if clicking on the portfolio category sort buttons loaded additional portfolio items in the category. At my site http://www.kylegilman.net/ I have nine of the most recent portfolio items displayed on the home page. If you click on “Features” only the one feature film in the last nine projects is displayed, which makes it look like I’ve only edited one feature.
I’ve seen in other posts that this doesn’t seem to be a planned feature because it may be too difficult to do an additional query on portfolio items, but could it be possible to load up additional portfolio items and keep them hidden like this theme does: http://themeforest.net/item/dandelion-powerful-elegant-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/136628
Oh! And I would also like to request a YouTube icon option for the header.

I enjoy Enfold very much! But one thing is a little annoying: I often use “Icon Box” in the Layout Builder as a mere button. Nice Icon, big text as link – that’s it. So I remove the text “Click here to add your own text” from the RTE. That works fine, but each time reloading the page in the backend, the text “Click here to add your own text” reappears in the “Icon Box” elements and I have to remove the text again if I don’t want to show it publicly under my buttons after the next “save”.
Could you make it that the RTE stays empty once I empty it?

Hi guys,
this time I do have a pretty generic question: I do have a plugin that has a pretty detailed custom css to define all aspects of the plugins design. As I would like the plugin to be aligned with Enfold’s design I would like to match different elements of the plugin that do have a defined style in the theme. E.g. if you go to http://www.dasjuengstegericht.org/verzeichnis/ you can see that there’s the default “search-button” from Enfold and the custom “search-button” from the plugin.
Taking this example: As I would like to be flexible (in case of updates), I would like to build some kind of reference that would match “if plugin-search-button-style, then use default-search-button-style”.
I know it will be a lot of work to manually match that but as I only want to do it for some items, my question is: Is that possible, and how can it be done?

Hello!
I’ve just installed the Enfold theme and am trying to customise my homepage – but having a few problems.
In the Avia Layout Biulder there are several buttons and links I click but nothing happens.
Eg:
* On the main view, when I click ‘Content Elements’ and ‘Media Elements’ nothing happens. I still see the layout elements.
* In the Icon Box window, I click an icon but the original default icon remains selected. I can’t change it.
* In the Gallery window, I click the Add/Edit Gallery button but nothing happens. Can’t upload images.
I’m using WordPress 3.6.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Hi guys-
I updated Enfold and it’s running great. I need to re-address the issue of the lightbox though. I want to be able to use it other places, but don;t want it to automatically active on portfolio page images. I’m opening them up in AJAX, and the images are a slideshow. I need the nav buttons for the slideshow, but do NOT want users to be able to also click on the photo (getting the same red circle as when you click on grid thumbnails) and open the images in a lightbox. Redundant. How can I disable this? Last time we talked I believe Kriesi said it was a bug.

I think what I’m seeing here is still the Enfold play button.
The double button issue is on IPhone.

I want to use a short-code in a Promo Box, but it does not render.
I’ve used one of your short-codes with the insert short-code button, and it doesn’t render, also I’ve created my own short-code, and it doesn’t render either, it just displays the short-code on the front-end.

Thanks Ismael for your reply.
I’ve now checked in Chrome and Safari and there’s no issue with the broken icons there.
Still, in Firefox v.23.0 some of the icon images are broken. Strange.
Any ideas why this happens only on Firefox and only with the subdomain?
And by the way, the issue is not with the icons in your screen shot. It’s with the ones near the top of the page (see my screenshot) and the call to action buttons.

1. I Purchased Enfold but for the moment I would not use the Blog and I would not receive comments, is it possible? What should I choose in the “And where do you want to display the Blog?” in the Theme Options?
2. Please, how can I create a private area? Now, I use “Cooming Soon Page” (from link PRIVATE AREA), how can I add a button to return to the previous link, such as in the page “Blank Page”?

When I look at any video in my Enfold website on my iPhone, I see the familiar Enfold round play button, but overlaid over that and slightly offset to the bottom, is iOS’s own semitransparent round play button. This double, overlapping interface looks very sloppy. Is there an easy way to get rid of the Enfold play button while on iOS?

Thanks a lot for your advice.
I followed your instructions and it seemed to work – I didn’t need to create new sliders, just resave the current ones. I think a couple of the files didn’t make it through the FTP which caused the issue.
Since fixing this however I have had some issues when refreshing the site. For me, everything turns to simple text and gets pushed to the left hand side with the navigation sitting underneath each other all the way down the page – on Google Chrome. For others, images layer on top of one another and links turn blue and buttons appear. I haven’t been able to recreate the second one but it this has only happened on IE.
It has happened this morning and a number of times yesterday, particularly on the portfolio pages – http://etool.net.au/projects/ http://etool.net.au/portfolio/octo/ but I can’t seem to recreate it now to take a screenshot.
Any ideas why this is happening? Nothing similar happened before this theme update and wordpress update.

Recently brought and put together a website for a client with Enfold but a lot of features don’t seem to be working or I’m ignorant of why there not working.

Here are the problems im having that I desperately need help with:
Responsive Design:
1. Menu Disappears at mobile size, no drop down menu
2. Big Space under Layer Slider at mobile size
General Theme problems:
1. Back to Top Button Doesn’t Appear
2. Menu doesn’t get smaller/Shink on scroll
3. Image’s from Media box animations dont work (Using Latest FF and Chrome Browers, and IE9)
Everything on the site is out of the box , The only things that I have have changed is 2 quick CSS

So it should work, please advise me why these features arn’t working.

Hi,
The hardest thing about Layerslider is getting the timing right. There is no tutorial, but you can check online there are hundreds of Layer Slider tutorials all over the place. .
I dont understand your question – Enfold fits into Layerslider? i think its the other way around. Did you import the test sliders (button on top after you click layerslider button in admin? If you look online there are codes floating around the web to 30 different sliders that the various themes and websites created that you can import directly into the slider.

Ok I updated the theme and I am running the latest version of wordpress. I deactivated all the plugins and the problem still exists.
In addition, I worked on another site that uses enfold and I went to edit a page using the page builder and I lost several hours of work because all of the images disappeared after I edited something.
I also noticed that your Edit Homepage button doesn’t work.
I would really like to send you my login info and you can try it out. This is a huge problem for me.

Actually the label is not meant to be used with html code. An easy fix to not display the unnecessary brs is by add this to your custom.css stylesheet in folder /css/ or to the quick-css panel located in your wordpress backend at Enfold->Styling:

I’ve installed 3.6 and installed Enfold v. 1.9.1 all seems fine but in Avia content builder on all pages I’m just getting a loading gif.
The console errors are:

1) This will remove the scroll bar , please add it to quick css located in enfold > (theme options) > styling layout at bottom of page … the text area…. OR.. you can paste it to the bottom of the /cs//custom.css file

}2) The reason for the difference is that one type of button is actually a button (the html input button element for forms) while the other is a pseudo-button – basically a div and style html elements that are made up to resemble and act as a button..

Hi guys,
I upgraded ShareThis plugin to latest 7.0.4 version together with Enfold 1.9.1.
The ShareThis buttons now shows up on the bbPress forum pages and also in the forum category tables too.
I know I can manually place this line: – <?php if (function_exists(‘sharethis_button’)) { sharethis_button(); } ?>
in the template but I’m not sure which file and where should I insert them so they will only show on single post and multiple post listing pages.

The gallery itself does not support social share buttons but you can try to add the social share links to the lightbox (prettyphoto). Open up enfold/js/avia.js and replace

Generate a new po file with Codestyling: http://wordpress.org/plugins/codestyling-localization/
Install the plugin, go to Tools > Localization and select “Themes”. Then search for “Enfold” in the list and click on “Add new language”. Then select your language from the list and click the “create po-file” button. Click on “Rescan” to fetch all text strings. Then click on “Edit” and translate the required strings from the “avia_framework” textdomain. At least click the “create mo file” button next to the “Textdomain” selection dropdown (top left corner).

I’ve tried doing the steps in your video for adding the Advanced Layout Editor to custom post types. It doesn’t seem to work. I’ve created a duplicate of meta.php with identical folder structure in my working child theme folder.I’ve changes the two code sections to match the slug for the CPT I’m trying to use ALE with. Neither the ALE button or the theme options appear in the edit window for my CTP.

I’m working on new wersion of my website using Enfold theme. (early beta here: http://n.mediology.pl/homepage/ ) I’d like it to be pseudo “single page” where menu buttons scroll main page to the right section. And all of it working well but – and this is my question – I want it to scroll slower then now. Where I can find right function for control scrolling speed? :)

Another question about buttons styling. I noticed that you have 2 different styles in enfold:
– The generated with shortcodes (with gradients)
– The used in contact forms and in the shop – Flat
I prefer the flat and I don’t want to mix styles, how can I use that with shortcodes or with the layout builder?
