I am afraid the only way to get full support and theme updates is by having access to a Themeforest account which was used to purchase the theme.
The easiest way would be to get in touch with your developer and ask him for the purchase code and an API key. That would allow you to create a forum account here (one that got access to more than the pre-sale question area) and would also allow you to update the theme from your backend.
If you cant get in touch with your developer for whatever reason, you can also try to contact Envato support and ask them if its possible for them to credit the purchase to a Themeforest account of your own: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
However this will probably only work if your developer already sent you a payment receipt or something similar for the purchase.Last option would be to create a themeforest account of your own and use it to re-purchase the theme.
I hope one of the first two options works out for you, but unfortunately we can’t help until we have a valid verification that the theme was purchased properly. This is necessary for us, since there are quite a few people out there who don’t buy the theme on themeforest and instead download it for free on illegal file sharing sites and then even have the audacity to ask us for support.

Due to our agreement with ThemeForest/Envato, we are not allowed to sell/distribute themes directly, they are only being sold on ThemeForest. ThemeForest currently does not have such license i am afraid. However, there are many agencies and developers are asking for such license i believe so it would be great if you contacted Envato support and request such license as well :)

I see that modified contact.php file on your child theme. Could you please try copying a fresh copy from Enfold 4.2.3 parent theme and apply the same changes you applied on the file? I tried to switch to parent theme temporarily to check and it worked fine so updating the file should solve the issue :)

Updates should not break your site as long as you are not updating from a very old version of theme as @guenni007 said. That is why we recommend keeping the theme updated.

As Nikko mentioned, you should be able to login to your profile that you used to purchase the theme and go to Downloads page to download the latest version of the theme. If it is not available there, please contact Envato support. Since download and purchase processes are managed by them, issue should be solved on their end :)

In Settings > General, i switched language from Deutsch to Deutsch(Sie) and that worked. I also installed child theme and activated it and moved language files to your child theme. Issue seems to be related to WP 4.9. We will share the information with our devs in case we can fix that WP related issue from theme’s side.

LayerSlider is included however some of its features require a separate license for it. We have released Enfold 4.2.3 yesterday and the latest version of LayerSlider is included. After updating the theme, notification should not appear – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ :)
