This is not a general problem with the theme, so I can’t tell you what the problem is unfortunately. You should probably consider upgrading your hosting provider if you can’t run PHP 7.4 or above though, since that is the minimum recommended PHP version to run WordPress on. Maybe you could try reaching out to your hosting provider first of all, and try to get these issues solved?

There is no such functionality in the theme by default unfortunately. You would have to use third party plugins or code in order to implement what you are looking for. The plugin Nikko linked to will enable you to protect your content to only certain user types for example.

If you are looking to simply password protect the site, then there are more than one plugin offering such functionality. You can also do that via the .htaccess file on your server.

The update to Enfold 5.3 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

Thanks for that. It works as expected when logged in, and the left button says “Login to purchase” when logged out. Are you sure that there isn’t a setting which would enable logged out users to purchase as well? I’m pretty sure that this is not a theme problem, you can verify that by activating a different theme and check the behaviour after that.
