Hi again. Figured it out — thanks!
Thanks Rikard — but still a “deer looking into the headlights…” How do I do that? Or is it a WooCommerce support issue?
😀

I never got a direct response from support on my original post… Are you seeing any issues (in addition to the one that Lucas attached) updating WordPress to 5.1 and Enfold 4.5.4?
Thanks …

Thanks!You can close — thanks! 😀
Awesome! Thank you Nikko!
😀Thanks!
Thanks Rikard.
Looks like it installed today, but — WordPress still shows it needs an update. Under updates it shows …Enfold
You have version 4.5.3 installed. Update to 4.5.3.Checked via “Inspect Element” and it does reference 4.5.3
I did not install the transients manager — should I do that? Or should I care?
😀
Thanks,And… the last one… threw a major hissy fit … please tell me what i need to do … I am using the correct tokens, etc.

December 1, 2018 at 10:31 pm in reply to: 504 Error. Gateway Timeout. notice when clicking on "Theme Options" #1039742Thanks Rikard — will try the Chrome incognito — and will keep Envato plugin installed.
I posted this question just now — any special preparation required before updating to WordPress 5?
Thanks!
November 27, 2018 at 2:18 am in reply to: 504 Error. Gateway Timeout. notice when clicking on "Theme Options" #1037889Hi Rikard,
Finally got around to going further with the one trouble site I have. Had to upload the Envato plugin — looks like it did validate the token I had made. Question though — when I try to validate it via “Theme Options” the “Save all changes” just keeps spinning as it was before I installed the Envato Market plugin. Shouldn’t it update as well? Also, must I keep the Envato Market plugin on board and activated going forward? If so, should I load this plugin on all of my Enfold sites?
Thanks!!! You all are awesome!
November 20, 2018 at 12:54 am in reply to: 504 Error. Gateway Timeout. notice when clicking on "Theme Options" #1035360Hi Rikard,
Thanks for checking back in. Looks like the website in question has resolved — most likely a hosting issue, yes?Re: Envato tokens — have you had anyone mention that sometimes while in the “revalidate” mode, it just gets stuck? I’ll try again later, just curious.
Thanks again for being willing to help! Much appreciated 😀
Cheers!
November 18, 2018 at 1:08 am in reply to: 504 Error. Gateway Timeout. notice when clicking on "Theme Options" #1034804Hi Rikard,
Thanks for checking in. This happens when I am in the WP dashboard, and initially occured when I clicked on Theme Options located on the top bar. Just now I was able to get to the Enfold theme update page via “Enfold Child” on the side bar – revalidated the Envato token (good), but then clicked on another option and the 504 error came up again. Only seems to happen with aspects that are related to the theme, not add pages, posts, etc.So, I suppose you would need login in credentials for WordPress.
And no, have not yet tried the hosting provider — never too sure if their WordPress person will be available.
Let me know if you would like me to set you up with a login.
Thanks!
Okay! So now the auto update from the theme, even with the new token from a account that has purchased the theme — is not working.
Unpacked the zip file to enfold.zip and I get this message … also happens when I try to upload themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress-theme.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home4/*siteowner*/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/
Theme installation failed. What? Please help. Why has it become so difficult to do this update? It was so smooth before this. Why change something that was working just fine?
PLEASE HELP!
😀
———–
OKAY, 60 minutes later … I installed the “Update Theme and Plugins from Zip File” plugin. Uploaded 4.5 using the “themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress-theme.zip” … it worked. Update page in the Enfold window in WP also made note of the API changing to tokens — put the newly created token in the space provided. Saved. Checked the Appearance tab and Enfold, it is 4.5. Logged out. All looks good.Question — does the plugin need to stay? Can I deactivate it or remove entirely? I like to keep as few plugins as possible on my sites.
All is better … be at peace, there is way to much craziness in the world, lets not bring it here. Everyone step back, and take a nice long breath. Wellness to all 😀

Hi Mike,
The error message is as I posted in my first post above — “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet”I’m not asking “why” Themeforest has gone to a new token system. I am asking if with the new tokens, users are no longer allowed to use your theme in more than one website per account. I have some sites that have their own Themeforest account and after using the new token, all goes well.
Do you understand?
Any help is most appreciated!
Thanks,
Hi Mike,
Sorry, but no. The zip file I tried to upload is by itself — not in a folder with ll of the other documentation. It has updated fine with accounts that have their own Themeforest account. Can you confirm (or not) that issue might be because the token being used is a part of my personal account, and not unique to the client’s account? Might be that Themeforest has abandoned their willingness to have 2-3 sites use the Enfold theme from one account. Would be a reason why they have introduced this “bizarre” token system.
Thanks for any insight you can give — and again, the .zip file I tried to upload is a stand alone .zip, designated with Enfold info in the file name.
Cheers!
Having issues upgrading to 4.5 again.
This site is using the Enfold theme — the same copy that I use for my website. Tried using the same personal token from Themeforest. It will not allow the update. Created a new personal token, that did not work.
Tried uploading .zip file of 4.5 and it gave me the same “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet” error.
Have tried to manually install to get the connection to the 4.5 update, and it can’t find it.
I also tried running the “Transient Cleaner” plugin — it did not find any issues, so it too did not work.
PLEASE don’t tell me I need to install via cPanel to server @ host! Makes me VERY nervous when I have to go to the “brains” — I know just enough to get myself in trouble.
Is there a fix in the works for this? I don’t want to bill clients for all of the extra time to do all the fixes. Just doesn’t seem right to bill them for time that Themeforest should have taken into consideration before they “updated” the process. Can we go back to how it was before??
Looking forward to your quick reply!
Cheers!
Hey Vinay,
Once again you all have come to my rescue! It was updating the token — strange process, but all is good on the first site. Will let you know if that changes as I proceed with additional updates tomorrow. Note: in Themeforest, it refers to “APP” not theme — but they are, for their purposes, one in the same 😀 — at least I think that’s correct…
Thanks to the Enfold support TEAM!
Cheers!
Thank Nikko,
Think I’m going to wait on Enfold 4.2.7
Cheers!
Thanks Rikard!
… for the info, for the update coming soon (I can wait), and for still being one of the best themes and support teams I have found anywhere. Just paid for another 6 months of support — it would be nice if Envato offered a 12-mo plan as well!
Cheers!
Hi Rikard,
Interesting reply. I understand the importance of a staging site, but can you confirm that Enfold 4.2.5 has a bug? And if so, do you have an ETA for an update?
I understand that issues can crop up with updates, but this one seems to be exceptionally prone!
Please advise!
Thanks,
Already updated all sites to PHP 7.0 — duh! However, still need other questions answered ASAP. Thanks!
Enfold Support team — can you comment on this thread? Should everyone hold off on updating until the bugs are resolved? (My cautious self always come into the support boards before I update — but this one is unusual — Enfold is a wonderful theme and Kriesi and staff are amazing, so?? Did someone actually go on vacation?)
Will wait to update client sites until you issue a updated version!
Cheers!
Thanks Mike!
I’ll post back if something goes screwy.
Cheers!
