September 18, 2013 at 4:56 am in reply to: Did I see Kriesi mention something about Parallax now working on Mobile (PLZ!)?? #162745
Yes, as far as I know the fix was put into place with the last release and it should be working now.
I’ve not had any report of it not working but Kriesi is the only iphone user of us so he would be the only one who could check for sure.
September 18, 2013 at 4:54 am in reply to: Enfold – How to add a fixed class to a Avia Layout Builder Element ? #162740Just to add to what Ismael said, the content in the Advanced Layout Builder is completely separate from the regular visual editor content. You can’t switch between the two freely as a way to manipulate content.
September 18, 2013 at 4:16 am in reply to: Promo box – positioning of text and button inside box #162729Hi Judith,
For something like that I would recommend just not using the promo box button and instead adding it in with a shortcode inside the promo box. You’ll need to create the button in another page’s visual editor and then paste the shortcode in but its the only way I can think of to get that kind of behavior.

September 18, 2013 at 4:11 am in reply to: Enfold. Easy Slider forcing images to a larger size #162726Hi cloverco,
The size you choose in the settings is only the size that gets output. The css and container is what actually determines the size of the image for the screen its currently being viewed on.
So if you want the image slider to be smaller you need to put it into a smaller container via a column element.

Hi MtnStreamGroup.
For now you will need a separate outside plugin for that.

Hi Alex,
iOS7 gets officially released tomorrow as far as I know so you are still on somewhat of a non-standard browser. I’m guessing Kriesi has not updated yet or perhaps you are on a different dev version since the official release isn’t out (at least right at this moment).
Try giving it a few days after the release and see if the issue remains. At that point Kriesi may run into the same thing as the general public does with the full release.

Devin
Closed :)
Its a limitation of the plugin in combination with the columns and as far as I know there aren’t any plans to try to change it in the future (for now).
You can still use regular slideshows in columns just not the LayerSlider.
Hi heidi22,
WooCommerce product pages are actually controlled by WooCommerce. The theme then uses php code to modify them a bit further. So if you want to customize them you will need to look into a freelance developer as WooCommerce doesn’t support in-editor control over the layout.

September 17, 2013 at 8:48 pm in reply to: Child Theme – Options don't come over on transfer #162474Hi stonerome,
All options are stored in the wp_options table in the avia prefixed rows. As long as the child theme name is the same they should come through. If however the domain name changed then the serialized data also needs to be updated. Typically the easiest way to move a wordpress install and keep everything intact is with something like this : WP MIGRATE DB

Hi jasmine,
It was a custom coded snippet created by Kriesi. For now he has said he won’t be releasing any of the customization done for his site but may do so as Blog posts and features down the road.

Hi Pixelcarvers,
Are you adding your images to the meta box under the visual editor or inside of the visual editor via shortcodes/advanced layout editor?

September 17, 2013 at 7:22 pm in reply to: Problem with different browsers – Images don't show properly #162408I think I understand now. Safari is actually no longer support on Windows environments so it really isn’t a supported browser unless on a mac at this point. Officially, we don’t test or support it unless on OSX.
Hi Matej,
I’ve not seen anything like that before but I’ve tagged Kriesi and Dude on the topic as they are both a bit more familiar with the inner workings of the framework.

Hi Drew,
No, the LayerSlider is only capable of being a full width element on a page.

Glad its working for you now :)
@condormarketing – Just for future posts, our queue system goes by oldest posted topic to newest. So each time you self respond it actually pushes your topic to the end of our queue.Hi brunocferreira,
First thing to do is re-download the theme from your downloads on ThemeForest. The version you have installed is quite a bit out of date and will not work with WordPress 3.6+.
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750
Then you can see this video for the basics on getting your site set up as you would on a “first” time installation: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927356

Hi alisonpendergast,
I *think* that the LayerSlider doesn’t actually have a no-transition option and will always default to the ‘slide’ effect if nothing is chosen. You could try turning off the “Use 3D/2D” option and then changing the values for the slide in and out easing to 1 which would make the slide almost instant but I’m not sure if that will give you the desired effect or not.

Hi Xavier,
We are not able to provide support for w3tc and WooCommerce. If you are having issues with those two plugins working together you need to either post to the w3tc forums here: http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/w3-total-cache
or the WooCommerce forums here: http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce

Hi Ale,
This is typically associated with having too low of a php memory limit for WordPress to use. You can follow one of the steps on this page to up the limit to something like 128m: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/
If we can see the site live we can check to see what its currently set at through the themes debug code.

Hi comitzuu,
How have you added them into your page? All content elements should always be inside column elements which is how the layout is then generated for the live view.
By default, that isn’t how they should be getting displayed so I’m not sure what the issue is but knowing a bit more about how you have that content structured in your advanced layout editor will help.

September 17, 2013 at 3:56 am in reply to: Enfold – How to add a fixed class to a Avia Layout Builder Element ? #162051Hi comitzuu,
The best way would be to turn on the custom class field for all elements by adding this to your functions.php file:
add_theme_support('avia_template_builder_custom_css');
Then you can add your own class to each element as needed.

Hi anchantw,
You can use this plugin to change all content to use HTTPS over HTTP in the meantime: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-https/
The background images sounds like its a user uploaded one or possible added in via the Quick CSS field (which gets saved to the enfold.css file in the dynamic upload folder). If that is the case then you can modify it in the css. If not, then it just needs its method changed for custom uploads in the style editor.
Both will be fixed with the above plugin however though neither actually effect the security of using SSL.

Devin
September 17, 2013 at 3:51 am in reply to: Problems with Avia Layout Builder and Internet Explorer #162049If that is the case I would say just avoid IE. While IE10 has had some great improvements and may be right up there with FF, Safari and Chrome, IE9 at least still has major hiccups with various sites/scripts.
Hi wesdacar,
My guess is that when the connection is slow enough one of the styles or scripts just doesn’t end up loading in. As Josue said there really isn’t anything that we could do about that since its a browser/end user issue.

Devin

Hi markinanton,
Can you elaborate a bit on what your issue is. I’m not familiar with Advanced Email Options or why you might be using it but the recommended method of testing to see if your forms work is to first change the email for the form to one based on your domain ( (Email address hidden if logged out) ) and see if you get it then and also to see if changing to smtp works:http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/
You may also need to talk to your hosting provider to make sure that the form data isn’t getting marked as spam when trying to be sent out .

Devin
Hi n_z_r,
No, right now the only way to create them is individually.
