Did you try to view the website on another PC? Maybe a browser extension causes the issue?

Replace ‘All’ with your custom text.

Der Server scheint die ajax Suchabfrage zu ignorieren und sendet stattdessen einfach den Inhalt der Startseite. Probiere einmal alle Pugins zu deaktivieren – möglicherweise hackt sich ein Plugin in die ajax Query. Wenn dies nicht hilft könnte es vielleicht ein Serverkonfigurationsproblem sein. Wenn man die Ajax Suchfunktion nicht benötigt kann man diese auch einfach deaktivieren – in enfold/js/avia.js lösche hierfür folgenden Code:

So you are saying that you will never ever make changes to functions.php og custom.css? If so it makes sences to drop Child Themes.

I am used to Child themes, but have never made one so I guess I am not one of them; “users who know what they’re doing will use a child theme anyway”.

But testing gives me issues with the socket https://kriesi.at/support/topic/socket-540px so I got a bad feeling and am now uncertain if I dare go ahead and start building the site around this Child theme.

I guess Im saying that I would love to either now that functions.php and custom.css would never ever got modified or that you would provide a proper Child theme identical to the “mother theme”.

This solution has some disadvantages (eg you won’t see the result counter, etc. on the left side) but on the other hand it would destroy the grid layout anyway…

This is the standard author archive slug and it’s independent from the theme code. Tbh I’m not sure if you can replace the username especially because the username is unique whereas two or more users can have the same author name. That said (after a quick search) I didn’t find a way to replace the username but I found following thread: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/4241/override-default-url-for-author-pages – maybe it helps you (or your programmer/coder) and you can use it as a starting point.

Update – I also found: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/5742/change-the-author-slug-from-username-to-nickname which maybe answers your question – but I didn’t test it.

Unfortunately it’s not easily possible to shrink or expand the sidebar to a certain width – this would break the responsive layout. However you can change the grid units in functions.php – search for:

If you want to expand the sidebar width replace “nine” with i.e. “eight” and “three” with “four”. This code change will expand the sidebar (+1 unit) and it will shrink the content area (-1 unit).
