Topic: Overlay on fixed widget
hey guys,
please have a look at the sidebar on http://qa.wihel-2014.de/
The last widget is sticky and all works perfect except one thing: at some point it looks like that the background lays over the widget. I tried some quickfix with fixed height #top #main .sidebar, but I plan a infinite scroll fronpage – so a fixed height makes no sense.
How can I prevent this behavior?

I’m sorry but we don’t provide support for third party plugins and this particular task is beyond the scope of support. A user successfully added an infinite scroll on the website which is using the theme. He hired someone else to configure it. Please visit Envato Studio or Werkpress for further customization.

I want to use the Infinite-scroll-function by using the plugin Infinite scroll. My Problem ist, that I have to put in the right separators for content selector, navigation-selector, next selector and item selector – can someone help me to find these separators?

Or perhaps if you might be able to suggest a method for creating something like this with the enfold theme, especially sticky pages and where the scroll will trigger animations within the elements themselves.

Topic: Shrinking header on Tablet
I’m creating an infinite scroll site so it’s important the navigation always be present. The shrinking menu works great on desktop and even mobile, but since I need a larger logo on the homepage the header takes up a lot of room on a tablet (since it does not shrink). I’m wondering if there is a way I can define how much the logo shrinks or if there is a way I can get it to shrink on a tablet?
I tried what was recommended here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-demo-not-shrinking-menu-on-tablets/ but it did not seem to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated….thanks guys!

I’m currently building a infinite scroll site and need to have the full width easy sliders as my section headers, but it does not look like I can set a section ID at the tops of each of the slider sections and cannot place the slider into a background section. What would you recommend I do in this instance?

As for 3: this is working on the finished effect but is falling a bit short of what I want as a finished effect. If you look at the normal full size logo on shrink, the logo shrinks automatically as the header shrinks in infinite steps. This code doesn’t do that. From what I can tell at 50% of the header shrink the code activates and it shrinks the whole thing in one shot. But right before this it is cutting off the bottom of the logo pretty badly. You can see it if you slowly scroll down. It looks good at the start and end but not the middle.
how do we constrain the shrinking percentage wise to match that of the shrinking header (the same effect that is natively on the logo.

I am using the accordion slider and I absolutely love it. The only problem is that on mobile devices, the image height is not adequate. I would like to increase the size of the accordion slider, without increasing the size on desktop or tablet. Is this an easy fix? Is there an easy way to change the image size for just the mobile display? I would like it to be about 160% of what is currently displaying.
Also, any chance I can get the slider to always start with the most recent article open, or fully exposed? That would be awesome. And while I am at it, it would be cool if you could load more posts in the accordion slider. Just add a function that basically replicates infinite scrolling and allows you to scroll through articles in either direction. This would be a really powerful function for this accordion slider.

I would like to customize the home page such that it can house an infinite scrolling number of mini blog entries. In this case the mini blog can be an image with a description and tags. When this mini blog entry or image is clicked, it redirects to the blog posting which has more details in addition to the mini blog details.

Weird. That didn’t work (it didn’t change the option in the control panel when I put it in either the theme or child theme.
But I realized you could key in 1000 in the page data in the database (_aviaLayoutBuilderCleanData) seems to be the one it uses.
That might work better, because there’s no need to modify the theme.

I have the following issue.
I have a lot of portfolio items on my homepage. Right now 110 but this increases everyday. When I use different website tools to test my website`s performance then I get a score of 88% which is good but my pagesize is 4.3mb and counting! I already use gzip and wp super cache and that made my site faster but did nothing for the pagesize.
Now like I said I use portfolio items with the masonry styling on my homepage. I set it to show all portfolio items because I like my customers to experience that infinite scroll. Isn`t their a way that Enfold or WordPress loads little bits of data every time a user scrolls down so pagesize at first is small?
Because when I keep carry on on this road then my pagesize will going to be 25mb and even more.
Please help me out.

Dear people,
I have a question.. When I put in a a portfolio grid and then select the AJAX portfolio I can select how many items I`d like to show on a portfolio grid page. I can also select pagination yes/no.
Now the question. What if for example I have 250 portfolio items I select 100 posts per page and NO pagination? Will I get a load more button? Because the thing is I would really like to make a large gallery without pagination but just an infinite scroll. (I know this is possible with the Masonry layout.

I’m sorry for any confusion but I’m not sure how I could have explained it any better. A series of client logos that slide from left to right in an infinite loop? I thought we were on the same page after you mentioned that the trick is in the fact that the logos are on one big horizontal strip. Are well, hence my creating a sample for you to get the message through. This is surprisingly difficult to explain online. I think this is why others have given up.
I really appreciate all your help Devin. I understand this is outside of the scope of the support forum. This is more of a trick as opposed to a technical issue with the platform. It’s apparent now that this effect cannot be achieved with the current platform. The sample I showed you was a website I built. This was the only way I could get the image to slide but it’s only a hack. It will stop animating after 3 or 4 mins once the layer sliders finish.
I am on the latest version of Enfold 1.9.1 on another site and the effect still does not work with your mentioned settings.
We can leave this now. I’ll just hope that no one else asks for this effect :)

PS. I know you guys don’t have an open book for every possible effect (geez!!!!). I was just asking the same question that many other users have tried to ask and I thought it would be okay to ask on this forum. I did mention in my original post that I did try to contact the admin of the website that originally had that effect (they used Enfold) and they did not get back to me. I was trying to do the right thing.
Maybe you guys could put up a tricks and tips page for stuff like this. So not a technical guide but step by step tutorials on how to do all kinds of things that people would never have thought of. This would be a “think outside of the box” section. I think you’ll find it would be very popular.

That is completely different than what I’m suggesting and really we are not able to walk you through creating it. We don’t have an open book for every effect possible with the LayerSlider.
What that appears to be is a LayerSlider slideshow set to autorotation with multiple slides of the same image repeated and animated on top of itself 8 times.
So this image: http://clientbased.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/CBS-client-logos.jpg is in the LayerSlider 8 times and each is animated to get that effect.
The exact details of it are unknown without seeing it live.
For the above settings, if you have multiple images in your slideshow and they are not animating you are probably on WordPress 3.6 but not Enfold version 1.9.1. If you are not, then you need to add multiple images in order for the slider to animate.

The options are as follows…
Slideshow Image Size
(I check ‘no scalling’ which doesn’t work either, makes it smaller than it really is)
Slideshow Transition
( Checked to ‘Slide’)
Autorotation active?
(Checked to ‘Yes’)
Slideshow autorotation duration
(You have several options to choose from beginning from 3 seconds to 100)
The image just sites on the screen and does nothing.
None of these options allow the big long strip of logos to scroll from left to right in a seamless endless loop????

On your Advanced Layout Editor layout drag and drop an Easy Slider into your layout. Next, click the button to add an image and add your image(s) into the slideshow.
Now that your images are in the slideshow you can adjust the options to make it transition, autorotation, autorotation duration and that is all there is to it.

Thanks for replying. As mentioned in my original request what you’ve said is what Ismael said originally but doesn’t help. I know the logos are one long strip (That’s the obvious part) but what exact settings are used to create ‘Auto Rotate’? I can’t find it.
This does not make sense…

I can assure you that I am not an idiot. So far this has been the only thing that has stumped me with the theme. It is surprisingly difficult to make this simple transition happen. I am not alone as others have asked the same question and have given up. I almost gave up too and had to do a hack version just to keep my client happy.
So could I please get step by step instructions on how to do it as originally requested. Even screen shots would be bloody nice.
