Hi,
Is there a way to add the “Animated Image” effect to the logo (just like the animated image on the demo site, that comes in from the left)?
I tried copying the CSS from the shortcode, but it didn’t work.

Hi, I have a bit of an issue – a strange one, too, that seemed to pop up quite randomly, after working without a problem for a while now. I have a homepage slider on http://www.profoundcoaching.com.au/NEW/, with a Youtube clip that appears when clicked (autoplay is set to off.) Until this morning, however, this clip had a thumbnail as expected (the one generated by Youtube, which you can select after uploading the image; I did it myself, so I know that it was done correctly) — but then, after I edited something else entirely in the slide, the thumbnail has *disappeared*.
In its place is the ugly grey “default” thumbnail. When the image is clicked, the video plays normally, but that thumbnail is obviously quite ugly and uninviting – no one will bother to click on it and see the video, if there isn’t a visually pleasing image there to encourage them to.
Any help that anyone can offer would be *greatly* appreciated! Everything else on this site is ready to go, and we were *just* about to go live before this issue popped up.

Does anyone know how I can load an entirely different Blog preview image?
For example, i’d like to show one chocolate as the small blog preview image, but then the whole chocolate box as the main post image.

Topic: Author Profile Page Image
I see a round placeholder for an author image. Is there a function built in to the Enfold theme to add one?
I’d like to achieve the following:
1. Image on author profile page
2. Image next to post. HOWEVER I do not want this here all the time. I may choose not to. I’d like to be able to achieve number 1 above without having to necessarily add an image next to the post.

You’ll notice that this post don’t have an image in it, although there is an image in the featured image box in WordPress for this post.
I think this is a glitch. And, I’ve noticed this only happens when the “grid format” option is turned on for the blog.
What should I do to get featured images to show up here?

I having some formatting issues when placing a third-party short code inside your layout short code or visual editor.

you can see in the image the spacing the theme short code adds. I have spent hours playing in firebug but can not figure it out. I would like to use your themes layout elements for formatting, and must have the third party short code to get my dynamic content.

Hi Ride123,
Then you’ll need to do a search through your database and re-name them. This is the plugin I typically recommend using when switching over databases WP MIGRATE DB.

It is not just the layer slider it is ALL the images. They all reference the old subdirectory even though the images were moved by BackupBuddy.

I need to add a target blank on the images I inserted on a page. I built up the page using the advanced layout feature, but when I switch back to the default text editor nothing shows up in the window.

That did not work, the images that I thought the snippet of code fixed were actually manually edited by my assistant in the last 2 days.
The code has been changed as instructed, but it did not work.

Thank you for your answers, but #2 and #3 doesn’t work..
I inserted the code on the very bottom of Theme Functions(functions.php) but the videos are still overlapping: http://jharden13.com/about-james-harden/biography/
I replaced the code in index.php also, and I changed every post from Video to Standard, but I still don’t see related posts.. They only have an <iframe> tag that embeds YouTube videos.

3.) Optimize your image sizes. There are lots of tutorial on how to do it. Search google “optimize image sizes tutorial”.
4.) Try to use a CDN for static content
5.) Upgrade your hosting service.

The only workaround is to edit the wp_layerslider on your database via phpmyadmin. Edit the slides then look for the old image url path then change it to the new path. It image path inside the wp_layerslider table looks something like this:

You should try to use a CDN for static content. Also, you may play around with different compression settings. I do export with around 60 (percent) of compression. I do also use the boxed layout, so my max. image width is 1200 pixels. As for sliders and stuff I would recommend your images shouldn’t be larger than 200kb in filesize.
If you use Photoshop (or some other), try to oversharpen the original image (you’ll have to play with the settings). Scale it down, crop it and after that try to add a very tight blur. This can help you shrinking the file sizes… ;)

I read that other users have no problems with BackupBuddy but all my images reference the previous directory for all images on the site. I built a site with Enfold in a subdirectory of the final domain. I used the LayerSlider and also placed images on pages using the Avia Layout. When I migrated the site using BackupBuddy, all the images reference the images subdirectory. I had to manually relink all images on the site. The images got moved but their paths were not updated when the images moved up. As long as the old subdirectory is there, all works but I don’t want to keep the old directory. Am I missing something?
My home page loads fairly slow. A speed test indicates the preponderance of bytes are from images. I have the slider images set at approx. 1500×500 how small can I go down without losing quality on larger screens? Should I look at my host for faster service instead? mbadeck.net

I guess it could be there only when logged in… but not logged out.. it just makes no sense because it does not function properly unless logged in…

Topic: Header Background Color
