Update:
I got it to work except when I set the blog style to grid layout. In this case, I am not able to get a preview image or video. If I add a Featured Image on the post, then I get a preview image on the blog grid. However, the post does not work properly. I get the Featured Image mixed with the video.
Any idea how to get a preview image or video for a grid blog layout while keeping the video only on the post page?
alright the solution you posted kind of worked. It got rid of the title and excerpt but the resulting image ratio is not like the original. It’s almost a square crop when the pictures are 4:3 or 16:9.
Is there a way to make the image span across the entire area that the picture and excerpt occupied?

Firstly can you update Enfold to version 2.0.1 and WordPress to 3.6? You are now using version 1.3.1. There have been some bug fixes and improvements in the theme since version 1.3.1.

I want to change the background color of the submenu for “gadgets” and for “briller” so that the color for “gadgets” is green and the color for “biller” is red on http://ecap.dk
Also I would like to make a new page template (like the blank and archives that is standard in Enfold) – så I can have different background for different page templates. I assume I need to make ie. template-gadgets.php but then also a new header.php ie. header-gadgets.php to change the background image. But the header is loaded in the pagetemplate file, and not by filename, but some sort of function. Can I load a different headerfiler – and if so: how? And is there a more easy way than using file templates if I want to use different backgrounds for different pages?

Another issue, is that when I put the Google Maps widget on a different page, it breaks the parallax image elsewhere on the page. Any idea what causes that?

Hi Devin – I already know this. I’m literally looking at my page right now, and can see the grid, have put my content and images into the correct box (as you mentioned, below the standard editor), but can see no images, and when I click on one of the boxes I’m taken to a blank page.
It seems pretty abnormal, almost corrupt, which is why I asked if one of you guys could take a quick look. I can email the site details to you as I’m not permitted to post them publicly.

Hello, on bottom of http://www.SuicideRescue.se we have added some partnerlogos and when you click on them the partner page should be seen
Forexample clicking on the “Oderl@nd” logo should take visitor to http://suiciderescue.se/partners/oderland/ however all I see is page not found. In admin I can see same URL specified and also content of page (but not front-end)

Okay, I ran the above debug on the site domain and it now picks up my assigned image, but does not pick up my description. Where do I edit “og:description: This is a Page excerpt. It will be displayed for search results”? I went into the header.php but am not finding the meta tags there.

The Ajax portfolio preview image is completely separate from the regular portfolio content. You need to add your images and content to the meta box down below the visual editor that you want to show in the Ajax view of a portfolio item.
This is because the portfolio single page is basically a blank slate where you can organize and show the content however you want but the ajax view is more structured.

This image: http://diefarben.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/alstom_logo.jpg is 710 pixels wide.
On this page: http://diefarben.com/portfolio-item/alstom/ the container for that image is 650 pixels wide.
So in that gallery you have selected to use the full size image which is 710 pixels wide. This means the image gets scaled down.
Just keep in mind that you are only trying to match the exact size for Desktop users. So tablet and mobile users will still be getting an image that is scaled down.
The “Gallery” size is automatically created for any image that is larger than that size. However it will still be scaled down if the container you put the gallery in is smaller than that.

Checked the site. Unfortunately it seems that the script that calculates the height of the image and position of the slider does not work when the content is hidden like in these tabs.
you can try the following css changes, i think they should help: we will try to set an explicit width for the tab container so the script should calculate correctly no matter what:
add this to your custom.css stylesheet in folder /css/ or to the quick-css panel located in your wordpress backend at Enfold->Styling:
.sidebar_tab .tab_content{ width: 80%; }
#top .sidebar_tab .tab_titles{width:20%; min-width:0; max-width:1000px;}

Its very bad practice to modify the theme’s css files directly. Instead you should only edit the custom.css file or add your css into the Quick CSS field in the theme’s Styling tab.

The physical location doesn’t matter. Facebook is only scanning the data from the page live and then checking it.
I have a foggy memory of you needing to force a refresh from Facebook in order for the image to change. I think it was something with creating a widget/like box or something like that.
After a quick google try putting your URL in the debugger here to force it to refresh and re-read your OG data: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

Can’t I just take out the scale down option some how? Or does then the structure fall apart? I just don’t understand why the Gallery size is 710x575px and you tell me I have to scale them down to 650x 526.4px that means a lot of work to me! Do I have to set the same for the preview Image? And how can I calculate then the correct size I need for…? This is not really a good solution – do you go a other idea?
