You are setting the post as Format “image”.. Save it as : format: Regular. .. I think the image format does what it says, it displays the entire image.
Also don’t forget that you can add the Advanced Layout option to posts as well, and that way you can add a slider in there or a gallery, so that way you will see the thumbnail first.

Hi I’ve been working on a website with the Enfold theme for a few days but today the Advanced Layout Editor has disappeared on all the pages. The content is still on the website front end but I cannot edit it through the editor.
I haven’t modified any of the code apart from adding official company information to the footer.
The plugins I’m using are bbpress and WordPress Back up to Dropbox. I tried deactivating both of these but this didn’t fix the problem.

good news is that Ive got my menu almost how I want it. Ive been busy playing.
here’s where im at…
1) LOGIN – Now im in Maintenance Mode – How do I give you and your colleagues access?
2) TOP MENU – Ive been playing with the z-axis to try and get the fat orange block to sit on top of the thin one but it wont budge.
3) TOP MENU – It now looks great in full screen mode on my mac but looks terrible on IOS devices.
Issue a) Logo doesn’t scale
Issue b) Lines above the menu (on right) don’t turn of when the responsive menu appears – overlaps right across top.

This is not a bug but the expected behavior because the isotope script ( http://isotope.metafizzy.co/ ) just rearranges/sorts/filters all existing entries on the current page and it won’t load any new content (additional entries, etc.) from other pages (eg with ajax, etc.) – thus if the user clicks on the filter links on page 1 it just sorts/filter all items on page 1 without loading items from the pages 2,3,4,5,etc.
That said there’s no “fix” – maybe we’ll add an ajax filter to the theme but we have no concrete plans yet. You can also add your idea to the wishlist: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-feature-requests

The sad thing is that you can’t translate LayerSlider with the theme po/mo file because it’s limited to the theme texdomain – you just need to translate the avia_framework strings. If you want to translate the LayerSlider plugin too use this po file as the starting point: http://www.mediafire.com/?jdxph0kvzm7rynn (rename it, translate it to your language) and then place the mo/po files into the enfoldconfig-layersliderLayerSliderlanguages folder.

Here is a dutch translation roughly 66%. avia_framework is translated for 100%. LayerSlider is translated for about 33% however those translations are not showing up. I think it has to do with some errors im having with codestyling localization. I don’t have too many experience translating with this plugin

Hello
I am using Enfold and displaying portfolio with 40 items per page and there is about 100 items so it’s going across 3 pages.
I have the category filtering enabled but when you click on the category it only shows results from the 40 being viewed not the full portfolio.
Then when you click to page 2 it resets the portfolio and it is no longer filtered by the category you have selected.
Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it?
Guys I want to exactly mimic the menu working as it is in this example below – specifically when you mouse over the menu options PAGES and Shortcodes.
I thought it was to do with installing a third party plugin called UberMenu – but I cannot get it even close to work as clean as this….
Is there a step by step anywhere on doing this??

Hello, I have recently learned that all code modifications that are made do better adapt the theme for our needs will be completely lost with each theme update, so it is advised to make code modifications in the Child theme CSS document. Creation of which starts to be too complecated. I saw some theme developpers provide it.
– please add the Child theme file (with the brief explication how to complete it in case ex: activate social icons in the lightbox)

I have exactly the same problem: titles and alt-texts do not show up in pictures used in combination with the Avia Layout Builder. You have any idea when the next version of Enfold will be available?

Phew! Thought I was going mad!
Menu looks great in full screen mode on my mac but looks terrible on IOS devices.
*** Here’s whats happening when responsive mode kicks in***
a) Logo doesn’t scale
b) Lines above the menu (on right) don’t turn of when the responsive menu appears – overlaps right across top
c) In some instances (namely portrait mode on ipad) I end up with both menu’s appearing at same time
d) The slide out menu now has a nasty ‘thick’ line across it (need to lose that)
Darn it…. Have I really gone and broke it dis time?!!

Hi Merkur-Trykk,
Ultimately you will not be able to control the sharpness that level without replacing the thumbnails that get generated by wordpress via FTP after they have been generated.
You can use a plugin like this one to quickly modify image sizes and regenerate and play with the sizes to get the best results: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
The wordpress thumbnail functionality is just not that great if you want zero change in your images. From the demo content you can see an example with this image:

WordPress does a slight file size reduction (which reduces quality) as well as attempts to shrink it as best it can. Even a single pixel difference can cause the thumb to have better or worse quality.

height: 60px !important;
line-height: 60px !important;
padding-top:3px !important;
}which will prevent it from effecting the sub menus.

I’ve added a new custom post type and taxonomies with Easy Content Types. The intent for this post type is to be somewhat similar to the portfolio post type that is included with Enfold.
My question is: how can I enable the Advanced Layout Builder on this post type, as well as the Layout Options (for sidebars, headers, footers)?

Thanks for your explanation, but this is still unclear to me…
It seems that, once we setup a page as a blog page (in Enfold – Theme Options – And where do you want to display the blog), the Advanced Layout is just ignored, and we’ll get a page with some default settings, right ? Even choosing No Sidebar in the layout options is ignored, and a sidebar still appears…
So your suggestion is to create a blog page, which I did. This is OK, but this is still not the page that will be called when clicking on a blog post on the homepage for example…
So, as far as I understand, we can create a blog page, with Advanced layout editor, but this page has to appear somewhere in the menu as it won’t be automatically called when clicking on a post
AND/OR we create a blank page, called it Blog for example, set it as the blog page in enfold settings. This page will be automatically called when clicking on a post, but Advanced layout will be ignored.
Can we mix both worlds?
At the very least, I’d like to remove the sidebar, but even this setting is ignored in the ‘basic’ blog page.

Hi,
I am trying to center the topmenu and remove the logo. If I use the code above and adjust the values I can get the menu centered, but when I make the screen smaller to test responsiveness, it doesn’t look good. Any clues?

ignore the ds. store issue as ive found a tool to disable it from happening over network connections although i was right that it does do it automatically.
so (to summarise)…
Ive set up maintenance mode using WP Maintenance Mode although im at a loss how to give everyone on your support group access. At the weekend I had one of the support guys come back to me saying I had MM on and then he didnt answer any of my queries. Not his fault but id like to get this right
Finally Nick… I really only have a few menu & footer issues left but should I split them up or just communicate them all through you? Im also aware that this iterative communication is all very public. Would it not be better to take this off public broadcast and comm on a 1 to 1 basis? Just a thought

Ive done what you ask and deleted the offending DS Store files although I wonder isnt this what a MAC would do anyway if its saving/accessing via a server thats actually PC based in its architecture. Therefore, whenever I save something via ftp is will add a DS Store file along the way? I say this as I know this is what happens when I do video work for clients who hand me PC formatted content and I save my work onto their drives it leaves a DS Store file. Its quite common for Mac users. However, if this is a concern then let me know.
