Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, the error message was due to an old breadcrumbs shortcode that you were using that should not be used, I corrected for you, you can read this post for further info but there is no action that you need to take now.
So as I understand when you use the parent theme Enfold instead of the child theme it works correctly?
I tried removing all of your custom code in your child theme functions.php and your child theme stylesheet but that didn’t help, and then I tried enabling your parent theme and your category pages did show, so I don’t know how this could be since the only customization for the child theme are in those two files.
Are you able to create a staging site? If you are try exporting your theme settings when your child theme is active and then activate your parent theme and import the child theme settings file and see if all of your child theme customizations are imported into your parent theme and everything looks correct and the category pages also work correctly.
It sounds like this might work but try this on a staging site in case it doesn’t.
Best regards,
Mike
Hey Dean,
1. We can’t reset any details for you unfortunately, you would have to do that at Envato/Themeforest, which is the only outlet where you can buy our theme.
2. You can buy the theme here: https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990
3. The latest version of the theme is 5.2.1.
4. Yes, it’s compatible with PHP 8.x
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi,
Yes, the theme is made by us, but the content is added by the owners of the site. It looks like it’s based on one of our demos though: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-health-coach/
You can see all available demos here: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/
Best regards,

Hi BenjaminSpeedtsberg,
The code I gave does not seem to show or get fetched.
Can you try to disable CSS File Merging And Compression in Enfold > Performance? and also try to flush and temporarily disable any caching plugin.
If that still does not work, please give us temporary admin access, so we can check further.
Best regards,
Nikko

Guys,
I am a developer and I recently took over a website that uses your theme
Theme name: Enfold | Shared By VestaThemes.com Theme Options
Version: 4.5.7
Unfortunately the previous developer lost the credentials so I can’t update this theme because I can’t generate a token.
Here are a view of my questions:
1. Can I somehow find are reset the credentials through you? (If possible, what information do you need?)
2. If resetting the credentials is not possible can I just by the theme with a different account and use that token for my site?
3. After searching I think this is the latest version for this theme, Is that true?
4. My host would like all websites to be running on PHP 8 by the end of this year, Is this theme (or a later version of this theme) compatible with PHP 8?
I hope you can assist me with this.
Kind regards,
Dean
Hey jb84,
Please try following this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/import-demos/#how-to-manually-import-a-theme-demo. If you need further help, then please include admin WordPress login details in private.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi,
Thanks for that. I activated the option to delete old CSS and JS files under Enfold->Performance, and your CSS is applying after that. Please review your site.

Rikard
Hey Florin,
Thanks for reaching out to us. You can purchase Enfold here: https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990

I am using the Child Theme downloaded from the Enfold site: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/ no changes.
Hi,
Thanks for the update. I’ll close this thread for now then, please open a new thread if you should have any further questions or problems.

Hey LOPB-31,
Enfold is compatible with PHP 7.4 and above. If you need further help with your problem, then please provide us with some more details.

Hey loghash,
Thank you for using Enfold.
PHP 5.5 is totally outdated and also for security reasons you should consider to update to a newer version.
The problem you see here is already solved in 5.6 (https://www.javatpoint.com/php-variable-length-argument-function).
There is a workaround for it:
https://www.php.net/manual/en/functions.arguments.php#functions.variable-arg-list
and
https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.func-get-args.php
You will need to modify theme core file
enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/base-classes/class-element-styling-base.php after line 633.
But keep in mind you must modify this with every new release. We will not add this to core.
If you need help with it let us know.
Best regards,
Günter
Hi
when trying to import from ENFOLD SETTINGS / IMPORT DEMO and i click on import parallax theme here is the error message after 8 sec:
Erreur lors de l’accès au fichier pour téléchargement :
cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds
Is there a way to download manually and import it manually?
I don’t remember how I changed the category address. I did this a few years ago.
Disabling plugins doesn’t change anything.
BUT! If I activate the regular Enfold theme or any other instead of the Enfold Child theme, everything works!
I also received an error message by e-mail.
Hi,
I am currently on an old version of Enfold which works with PHP 5.5. However we wanted to use the new Parallax theme and was wondering if there is a way we can use it. On using the new version of enfold I get the following error :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’, expecting ‘&’ or variable (T_VARIABLE) in /base/data/home/apps/s~sadhu-sanga/2023:20221207t000016.448392673815095650/wordpress/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/base-classes/class-element-styling-base.php on line 633
Can I copy some files to older version to get the parallax theme? Is there a way to make the current version backward compatible to ues with PHP 5.5?
Hi,
To open a new thread please click this link.
Thank you for using Enfold.

I repeat that enfold is an excellent theme, but I must also say that I expected wider support, I don’t think I asked for such a complex visual change for those who developed the theme, I would just like to move the titles of each article composed in mosaic form or grid above the image leaving the article summary below, I didn’t ask for new dynamic functions which I understand might not be included in the support, can anyone help me? Days go by and I don’t receive an answer, at least write “no, this thing cannot be done” at least those who think that such a thing can be included in a post-purchase support will know that instead it is not included or cannot be done, leave the post open that remains on the back burner I don’t think it’s nice. However out of desperation I try again to post an image of what I would like to do

Thanks Ismael,
It seems this option is also available in Performance tab of Enfold under advanced. I’ve set it there now.
Feel free to close this one.
Thanks Ismael,
I’ve tried this but still same issue happens on my page. I’ve tried to do exactly what you wrote to me. I’ve put back the code which was there before again.
Also do I need to do this every Enfold upgrade or will this be fixed in next version of Enfold?
Jaro.
Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The post editor is in Classic mode but in the Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor settings, the Block editor is selected. Did you switch the editor to Classic manually? How? The issue occurs because the TinyMCE script is nowhere to be found.
Best regards,
Ismael

Hi!
I need your help please!
I cannot reach one of my websites !
It says “There has been a critical error on this website.”
My IT consultant told me it´s a theme – issue, better to ask the Enfold team.
Please help!

Hey Jaro,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The warning seems to occur because of the avia_swipe_trigger function in the js > shortcodes.js file. Please edit the shortcodes.js, remove everything, then replace it with the following code.
// https://pastebin.com/d6BJyMEh
Make sure to temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings and purge the cache after doing the changes above.
Best regards,
Ismael
Yes I do. I have now commented out the css in Theme File Editor https://www.screencast.com/t/s1PZRoXJT4Gv
I’ve restored the CSS in General Styling > Quick CSS. I’ve made the line height 4px so it is easy to see if the CSS is applied
https://www.screencast.com/t/6qMamC7EQB
As you can see, it doesn’t flow through to this caption for example in https://palmcovevision.au/about
https://www.screencast.com/t/wyDQdQE0Tu
Works fine if I add it to the Theme File Editor. Just want to make sure that I don’t lose these custom settings on theme updates. Enfold support has admin access. It raises the question though as to when to add to Quick CSS and when to add to Theme File Editor.
Thanks Ismael,
Didn’t know this.
Additional questions:
1. Is it possible somehow possible patch this css code for mobile with different url (so it won’t download anything). The main thing I want to achieve is to force Enfold to not download that image (or download some different 1kb one) on mobile platform.
I’ve tried something myself but was not able to adjust URLWITHIMAGE part of below code. It seems it is some element.style which I have no clue how to adjust using CSS.
element.style {
background-position: center center;
background-image: url("URLWITHIMAGE");
visibility: visible;
opacity: 1;
transition: all 0.4s cubic-bezier(0.55, 0.085, 0.68, 0.53) 0s;
transform: translateZ(0px);
}
2. I also have different slider gallery on homepage for desktop which is hidden for mobile, but those images are not downloaded. Is it configured differently for that gallery?
jfyi: As workaround I found a way to have separate page for mobile view where this component is not added. However I would like somehow 1. to apply.
function redirect_mobile_devices() {
if ( wp_is_mobile() && is_front_page() ) {
wp_safe_redirect( get_site_url(). '/home-mobile', 301 );
exit;
}
}
add_action( 'wp', 'redirect_mobile_devices' );
Thanks
Jaro.
The front end of the website is not working giving the below timeout error, whereas the backend is working fine.
After deactivating enfold theme front end is loading fine with the default theme.
Error –
Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.
you can check the same in the screenshot – https://ibb.co/9tZrWSb

Hi enfold team,
I am trying to get the magazine element to display excerpts. I found another ticket that said to add this (below) to line 1503 here (config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/magazine/magazine.php) but that did not work.
$excerpt = ! empty( $entry->post_excerpt ) ? $entry->post_excerpt : avia_backend_truncate( $entry->post_content, apply_filters( ‘avf_magazine_excerpt_length’, 60 ), apply_filters( ‘avf_magazine_excerpt_delimiter’, ‘ ‘ ), ‘…’, true, ” );
Please advise
This is a new one. We just got hosting on GoDaddy, the “Ultimate” Manage WP Hosting package. Installed Enfold, uploaded the Child Theme. Everything is working fine. Turned on Maintenance Mode and pointed to a page with a Text module with a logo and a coming soon message. In CSS, I hid the menu on that page. Looked at site in another browser and was directed to a register.com default page.
Then started getting this message “Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”
I was on with GoDaddy via chat for TWO hours. They thought it was because the site was so new it had not propagated. It took me two hours to convince the tech support that if it was propagation, I would not be able to access the /wp-login.php and /wp-admin pages.
Finally tried turning off the three plugins installed. Problem persisted. Tried the standard WP Theme and the site came up. Tried the child theme, site crashed. Tried Enfold parent theme site worked. I thought there was something going on with PHP. We were running PHP 8.0. Turned it back to 7.4. Problem persisted with the child theme. Then I thought, why not turn off Maintenance mode. And bam, site is back up.
So, I have no idea why, but Maintenance Mode: Enabled – Use selected page content without redirect and choosing the most basic of pages I created “Coming Soon” crashed the site. I turn off Maintenance Mode and the site works fine.
