Yes, it is as simple as to generate an API key on ThemeForest and inserting it in Enfold theme options with your ThemeForest user name. You can generate two API keys and insert them in theme options respectively.

Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.

If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest :/

The latest version of Enfold is currently 4.0.7

Let us stick to this one. Firstly, which API key would you like to know? The one you insert in Enfold theme options > Theme Update that lets you automatically update the theme ( http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ ) or the on in Enfold theme options > Google Services tab that inserts Google Maps API key ( http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/ )?

API key is not the same as purchase code.

1- Yes, that would be possible. You can simply create each category as pages and add them to your main menu and in each page, you can add one of Advanced Layout Builder elements to display your posts and choose to display certain category

2- Yes :) You can choose to hide them as well

3- This post is using default editor and not Advanced Layout Builder – http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-church/2014/08/24/a-nice-entry/. If you meant this page – http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-church/news/, you can simply create your blog posts using default editor but you can create your blog overview page using Advanced Layout Builder :) If i misunderstood, please elaborate

4- You can simply turn on custom CSS field for ALB elements and using custom CSS classes, you can adjust the color of each icon :)
