Masonry has sort options, they are based on taxonomy, but a regular gallery does not have the sort options.

You can use Classic editor for posts and add the Advanced Layout Builder elements with the help of the magic wand tool if you don’t want to add the comment box manually.

No, the mega-menu does not have such an option. You can try to add a new column just without the title column and so it might look like it’s from the same category.
