Hi ThinkJarvis
You forgot the web address for Wild Heart Yoga and Fitness :/
Best regards
SimonThank you very much. That all works perfectly. Please consider this query solved. :)
Hi,
Yes, the spacing query is about moving the middle one up a bit. Is this possible?
The screen options and Link Target solved my links query. Thanks for that, as I never realised the advanced menu properties were located there.
Best wishes.
Thank you, that works. Is there any way that I can fine tune the line spacing and/or the space after the column heading to get everything lined up better? For example, to get the text baseline the same for the first line of text in each column.
There was also my second query please:
“the navigation menu is using custom link(s). How can you get a custom link to open in a new tab? There is no option to select in Appearance>Menus>Custom Links settings that I can find.”Thanks for your time and quick response.
Thanks.
Please close this thread.Thanks. That worked.
Please close this thread.Many thanks @seferdemirci for your quick reply. That plugin looks good. Time to explore more!
@seferdemirci Nice clean website. How did you add the buttons to your header please? What plugin are you using to create and display the E-Catalog?
Regards Simon@thinkjarvis Congratulations on the new member of your family. Hope everything is going ok in Derbyshire despite COVID-19 and police flying drones over the peak district! Keep strong.
I too am interested in your ‘speed and performance’ articles. Simon at http://www.wessexforexams.co.ukHi @ thinkjarvis,
Yes, count me in, as I am also interested in boosting the speed performance of my two sites under development. Any insights you can provide, specific to Enfold, would be well received.
Best wishes
Simon (also in the UK)Hi Victoria,
Sorry, I am mistaken and have got the ‘look’ of my fonts mixed up. Doh.
Please close this thread. No action needed. Sorry to have troubled you.
Thank you.
Hello,
The same problem with the fonts has returned overnight following the latest update to WordPress 5.3.2.
This font error is now distorting three of my websites. Please can you look into this and provide a solution. For full background info please read this full thread.
Thank you.
Problem resolved thank you.
Problem resolved thank you.
I have the same problem (as Kirchmann-Peter above) with the Caveat font not displaying correctly on my website pages. This has happened overnight with the update to Enfold.
Please advise how to correct this situation.
Hi,
For the centered blockquote text is it also possible to align the vertical green solid directly alongside the quote (on the right)? Rather than having it to the far right. What is the CSS code to achieve this please?
Or, can the solid only be set in one aligned position (left or right)? Please advise.
Also, after the featured image and author’s name text, is it possible to add a separator (a straight line element) to give a little amount of whitespace before the body text starts?
I have used a separator further down in the blog – before ‘MORE INFORMATION’ – but can’t remember where I found this code. On the forum someplace I think. This is the code I am talking about:
[av_hr class='short' height='50' shadow='no-shadow' position='center' custom_border='av-border-thin' custom_width='50px' custom_border_color='' custom_margin_top='30px' custom_margin_bottom='30px' icon_select='yes' custom_icon_color='' icon='ue808' font='entypo-fontello' av_uid='av-1vqyge' admin_preview_bg='']For the space after the author’s name, I would like to choose a different style of separator (something very plain) and adjust the spacing around it so that it is equal spacing above and below the separator.
Do you have any suggestions or can you point me to a guide/instructions please?Thanks again,
SimonThank you so much. That all worked great.
What would the settings be if I wanted to centre-align the blockquote?
Best wishes
Thanks. That makes sense.
Please consider this thread as SOLVED.Hi Rikard,
Sorry for my slow reply.
Good news. Your solution fixed the headings alignment (to the left) and size of caption text. Thank you very much.
Here is the full code used:-
#footer .widgettitle {
padding-left: 0 !important;
text-align: left !important;
}#footer .wp-caption-text {
font-size: 18px !important;
}span.news-time {
display: none;
}Out of interest, do you know what this last bit of code does?
span.news-time {
display: none;
}I can’t remember where I got it from as I have been working on this site for over a year. But I think it was probably some code on the forum answers. I can’t identify what it does and want to know if I can delete it safely.
Thanks again
Simoncontinued…
illustrate my query. It is the vertical green block or bar (highlighting the quote) that won’t move to the right when I right-align the text.
Thank you,
SimonHi Rikard,
Two example Blog posts, with elements in question:-Large white space after featured image and byline, when using a sub-heading (Heading 2 style)
https://www.homestudytutors.com/2019/03/30/dyslexic-reluctant-readers/Small white space after featured image and byline, when starting with body text (Paragraph style).
https://www.homestudytutors.com/2018/09/01/online-tutoring/The latter looks fine. It is the large white space that I wish to reduce i.e when starting a post with a sub-heading. Any suggestions? I am using the ‘content views’ plugin to organise my blog posts on the blog web page, in terms of layout and sorting/ordering the posts to display by category.
The pulled out quote ‘blockquote’ element is visible in both these blog posts to
Also, on a blockquote, is it possible to right align the blockquote so that the text and block (emphasis graphic) move to the right?
When I right-align it, only the text moves right… the graphic stays stranded on the left!
Many thanks for your help.Please ignore the previous question. I have cleared the cache and all is fine now, with no dates showing!
So, I have another blog question:
On a blog post how can I reduce the white space after a Featured Image and before the body text starts? The space varies whether I start with a sub-heading (Heading 2) or plain body text (Paragraph). Using a H2 sub-heading creates a large amount of white space.Thank you.
Hi,
Still no result. What next?
Thank youHi,
Did that and still no difference to the footer section headings alignment, or size of (image) caption text.
What is next?
Thank youHi,
Sorry, but inserting this code has made no difference to the appearance of the website. I am using a child theme.
Any more suggestions please?
ThanksHi Jordan,
Here is a link to the home page. Please look at the footer section. It is the Title headings ‘Ask a question’, ‘Hxxx Sxxxx Tutors’ and ‘About’, that I wish to left align. They are three footer widgets.
Also, with the image in the ‘About’ footer widget – how can I increase the size of the caption text underneath? It is text included in the caption field on the Image Details.
Thank you

When will we be able to upgrade the theme automatically? When will the new Envato API update be ready?
ThanksOctober 15, 2018 at 3:29 pm in reply to: Problem Updating Enfold: "Download failed. Problem downloading theme" #1021619Hi,
My Yoast SEO plugin will not update now. Is this a symptom of the API issue (and forthcoming Envato API update) or something else?
What problems are other participants experiencing?
ThanksSeptember 29, 2018 at 12:45 pm in reply to: Problem Updating Enfold: "Download failed. Problem downloading theme" #1016032Any news on the fix and timescales on when the update will be released please?
