Never mind, find the culprit. Some FTP error I didn’t check while copying files over.
So all’s fixed!rob

September 25, 2014 at 9:19 am in reply to: Enfold – image import sizes and reductions of sizes generated…… #324846Thanks! Much appreciated.
I’ll see whether I’ll tinker with the images code, or use a plugin.
cheers!

So never mind, fixed the problem ;-)
Having some issues with updating to 2.9.2 as well.
After upgrading the theme to 2.9.2. on a WP 4.0 website, I got the dreaded ‘maintenance page’.
Going into FTP, my theme folder was completely empty, and the theme was stuck in the ‘update’ folder.I had to manually move the files of the new theme from update to the enfold folder to get the site back up. But now in the dashboard, it complains about a update gone wrong. I checked the web for solutions, but there are no .maintenance files, I deleted the ‘update’ folder and checked the WP install.
Is there some hidden file I have to delete to get rid of the error message in the Dashboard??cheers for any tips, as this makes me very nervous……

September 23, 2014 at 10:49 am in reply to: Enfold – image import sizes and reductions of sizes generated…… #323574Hi Devin,
Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately expanding hosting server space isn’t an option, as the packages don’t support that…. :-\
So I’ll have to do with what’s there…I’ll see if I just add to the functions.php in the child theme, that’s the quickest way I guess.
thanks!

July 1, 2014 at 9:36 am in reply to: social media icons & portfolio pages; some weirdness local and online?? #285607Hi Josue,
Never mind, sorry for the noise
Although it is weird the code didn’t work on my end, the client started to select pages where he wanted buttons or not.
As this was becoming a mess quickly, I talked him into having social media sharing on ALL pages.
This works, as mentioned as before, and the client is happy. The code might be a nice added thing to have in a updated version of the theme. Or maybe even some way to check this off for pages like the home page, contact page and alike.
cheers,
rob
Cool!
Thanks for all this. You guys rock!!

Hi,
I just re-added my credentials and API key in the Child Theme settings, and now I’m seeing the update for 2.8 appear.
This will update the Enfold theme, and -not- the child theme, right? Just to be sure… ;-)
rob
Hi,
I’m running a child theme off of the Enfold Theme. Could that be the issue here?
rob
Same issue here.
I didn’t have any API keys, so I had to create one.
In the web panel my Envato user name and API key are there. Still running 2.7 and no sign of a updated version, after running the manual check multiple times.rob
May 14, 2014 at 2:22 pm in reply to: Strange icon font behavior on .com /.nl website redirect…. #264654Edit #2:
After hours of fiddling I gave up for IE.
It seems the Apache server of the hosting company is blocking certain solutions, so I gave up and requested a ‘hard forward’ to the .nl domain.
This will solve the problem for now.cheers,
rob

Your tip got me on the right track, and it seems to work for Firefox, but not for IE yet….
What I did was I added a .htaccess file to the ..\avia-template-builder\assets\fonts\ folder with the following code:
<FilesMatch “\.(ttf|otf|svg|eot|woff)$”>
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin “*” <–the * can be changed to the .nl domain as well….
</IfModule>
</FilesMatch>IE is ignoring this.
Looking into some other options like scripting or PHP header additions.
rob
P.S. IE seems to be CORS compliant, but doing something different as FF.

May 13, 2014 at 10:59 am in reply to: Strange icon font behavior on .com /.nl website redirect…. #263857Bump.
I just finished a long session with the hosting provider, and we’re all stumped atm.
Stranger thing, with Chrome and Opera the icons show up on the .com domain.
Firefox and IE will not show the icons with the .com domain.
Oh… the opening in a new tab is only happening on (my) Firefox. So can it be code inside the theme that is causing this?? Odd thing is, when inspecting elements/code all HTML/PHP is exactly the same. And on the .nl domain it all works in every browser……
I hope someone can help me out here, because this is getting annoying ;-)

Hi Yigit,
First part got me on the right track. Chenaged the background color, all is fine now.
Thanks!!
hmmm… weird.
In that case I must have missed something with editing the exported dabatase. Cheers for the answer, I know I have to pay a closer look on th edited file before importing it again ;-)

May 7, 2014 at 10:16 am in reply to: some blog post related questions: adv. layout manager and visual shortcut editor #261224Hi Ismael,
Thanks for that!
But I think I feel more comfortable making separate Portfolio pages and a ‘showcase’ overview page with large thumbnails.
I’m looking into the Portfolio options as my client isn’t very savvy with code, but does understand the ALB setup of a page.
I made templates so he just can create a new page, select a template and start with that. Add images, change text, Publish and Presto! ;-)
I’m afraid the shortcut editor in the standard Post will confuse him a great deal as one can only see the result properly afterwards. When creating a Portfolio Item it would be nice though to add tags like with categories, so you can see all defined tags as a list.
I have to admit the additional Item Settings and Ajax settings could use some more explanation or small video. It’s very confusing at first. Thanks for any tips,
rob
p.s. Love the theme and all the options. Also really like the way of changing little things in the theme, e.g. different color for H4 or something. Very nice!
