Sorry for the problems. Could you try to completely remove the theme folder from the server and then upload a fresh copy from your Themeforest account to see if that helps please?

Yes, you can reuse the element by simply duplicating it in the Layout Builder or adding the same class to the element.

Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. I’m not sure exactly what you need help with though, since functions.php is simply a file, if your code is not working then there is a problem with the code, not the actual file.

Great, glad you got it working. Your child theme will stay as it is since only the parent will be updated on updates. Having said that, you should always have proper backups of your site in case something should go wrong.
