I believe your issue is similar to https://kriesi.at/support/topic/homepages-wont-load-after-upgrading-to-both-4-8-and-4-81/#post-1288743
Your av-helper-slideshow.php in the child theme might be missing this static function: default_args

NikkoMarch 24, 2021 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Issue with Home Page not showing Masonry Gallery & Update #1290156Hi Sumeru,
The problem is caused by the incompatibility of an old version of Enfold (4.7.3) and WordPress 5.7, you’ll need to update to the latest version (4.8.1) for it to work properly, please do the following steps:
First make a backup:
– Site Backup: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/backup-wordpress-site/
– Theme Settings Backup: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/backup-theme-settings/Option 1: Use Envato Market to update your site
– link: https://envato.com/market-plugin/Option 2: Update manually
1. Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme, right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
2. It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
3. Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
4. Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
5. Install and activate a maintenance plugin and put your site in Maintenance mode.
6. Go to Appearance > Themes, switch to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty then delete Enfold.
7. Click on the ADD NEW button.
8. Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
9. Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
10. Click the INSTALL NOW button and switch to Enfold or your child theme.
11. Remove the maintenance mode then deactivate and remove the maintenance plugin.Register the theme by following the instructions in https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Once this is done, the next time you update, you’ll only need to go to Enfold > Theme Updates and click on the Update button.Best regards,

NikkoHi dezomat2,
What version of Enfold are you using?
I have checked functions-enfold.php in line 293, but I’m seeing this:if ( $search_parameters['results_hide_fields'] !== '' ) { $search_parameters['results_hide_fields'] = explode( ',', $_REQUEST['results_hide_fields'] ); } else { $search_parameters['results_hide_fields'] = array(); }Best regards,
NikkoHi dennishaarman,
Please refer to this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/missing-icons-new-install-all-up-to-date/#post-1288162
Hope this helps.Best regards,
NikkoHi BG Manuel,
It’s possible via CSS.
If it’s a specific form, then we would need to see the page and the form in order to give some CSS code.
But if it’s for all contact forms then please make it the first input field, then in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS add this code:.avia_ajax_form h3 + .first_form { display: none; }Best regards,
NikkoMarch 24, 2021 at 4:01 pm in reply to: Difference full-screen slider for desktop and mobile #1290146Hi evtilsley,
Yes, but it would require CSS knowledge and combine it with the use of Custom CSS Class.
What you’ll need to research is the use of CSS’ media queries in targeting devices.Best regards,

NikkoHi Manuel,
Enfold 4.8.1 and WP 5.7 is fully compatible.
The only instance I saw it fail was because of old js files being fetched which can be resolved by disabling Javascript file merging and compression in Enfold > Performance.
You can refer to Yigit’s post: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-8-1-and-removing-additional-br-tags-added-in-4-8/
Also, if you want to lessen the risk, use a staging site first to apply the updates before applying to your live site.
Here’s a simple tutorial you can follow: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/Best regards,

NikkoHi jonrouse,
No worries and thanks for your patience :)
It seems the CSS code for it did not work since the image does not have img_full class.
I have replaced it with this CSS code instead:.avia-slide-wrap > img:nth-child(2) { display: none; } @media only screen and (min-width: 1500px) { .avia-slide-wrap > img:nth-child(2) { display: block; } .avia-slide-wrap > img:nth-child(3){ display: none; } }Best regards,
NikkoHi daves1997,

Thanks for using Enfold and have a great day!Best regards,
NikkoHi jonrouse,
Thanks, I have modified the code and I forgot the dot, here’s the lines/codes I have changed:
line 381, from:
$img_tag = "<img src='{$img_full[0]}' width='{$img_full[1]}' height='{$img_full[2]}' alt='{$imgalt}' />";to:
$img_tag .= "<img src='{$img_full[0]}' width='{$img_full[1]}' height='{$img_full[2]}' alt='{$imgalt}' />";line 751, from:
$img_tag = "<img src='{$img_full[0]}' width='{$img_full[1]}' height='{$img_full[2]}' alt='{$linkalt}' />";to:
$img_tag .= "<img src='{$img_full[0]}' width='{$img_full[1]}' height='{$img_full[2]}' alt='{$linkalt}' />";Best regards,

NikkoHi lle-it,
For the buttons it’s similar step with Post Slider but different files to copy (you can skip step 1 & 2):
1. (skip this step if you have a child theme) Download and use a child theme. You can download and find instructions on how to use it here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
2. Follow the steps provided in: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#add-elements-to-alb
3. Copy wp-content > themes > enfold > config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes > buttons folder to wp-content > themes > enfold-child > buttons folder.
4. Edit buttons.php in the child theme and replace with this code: https://pastebin.com/7BKhNmiTOnce done, edit the Button and it should have Aria Label Text in the backend.
Hope this helps.Best regards,
NikkoHi lle-it,
I apologize for this but please do these steps again (code is provided):
1. (skip this step if you have a child theme) Download and use a child theme. You can download and find instructions on how to use it here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
2. Follow the steps provided in: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#add-elements-to-alb
3. Copy wp-content > themes > enfold > config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes > postslider folder to wp-content > themes > enfold-child > shortcodes folder.
4. Edit postslider.php in the child theme and replace with this code: https://pastebin.com/9MUGjAwbOnce done, edit the Post Slider and it should have Aria Label Text in the backend which should reflect on the Post Slider.
Best regards,
NikkoHi jaimemerz,
Thanks, it seems the issue is you have an old version of Enfold version of Enfold (4.5.7) which is not compatible with WordPress 5.7.
Please update Enfold to the latest version (4.8.1) and make sure to have a backup first.
To temporarily resolve the issue on your site, I have installed and activated Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and set jQUery version to Legacy 1.12.4-wp.
Once you update to the latest version, you can remove this plugin.Best regards,
NikkoMarch 24, 2021 at 9:32 am in reply to: Social Media Icons (Social Profiles) – Open Mail Into A New Tab #1290051Hi vantagepointmg,
I have added this code at the bottom of functions.php:
function mail_in_newtab(){ ?> <script> (function() { var links = document.querySelectorAll('a[href^=mailto]'); links.forEach(function(link) { link.target = "_blank"; }); })(); </script> <?php } add_action('wp_footer', 'mail_in_newtab');This code add target=”_blank” attribute to all links that will use mail.
Please review your site and let us know your feedback. Also, this change I made will be removed during the theme update (overwritten), so I would suggest to use a child theme, which you can download from and find instructions on how to use: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
Then remove the code from the parent theme’s functions.php and add it on the child theme’s functions.php file.Best regards,
NikkoHi René,
We’re glad to hear that, please replace the code I gave with this one:
.archive.woocommerce-page .template-shop, .post-type-archive-product.woocommerce .template-shop { background-color: black; } .archive.woocommerce-page .template-shop .widgettitle, .archive.woocommerce-page .template-shop .woocommerce-loop-product__title, .post-type-archive-product.woocommerce .template-shop .widgettitle, .post-type-archive-product.woocommerce .template-shop .woocommerce-loop-product__title { color: white; }Best regards,
NikkoHi bibi1234,
Thanks for providing us admin access.
I see that you are still using Enfold 3.8.4 which is the reason why you are experiencing the issue, please update your site first to the latest version (4.8.1) and that should fix the issue.First make a backup:
– Site Backup: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/backup-wordpress-site/
– Theme Settings Backup: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/backup-theme-settings/Option 1: Use Envato Market to update your site
– link: https://envato.com/market-plugin/Option 2: Update manually
1. Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme, right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.

NikkoHi RubenHD,
We’re glad to hear that :)
Thanks for using Enfold and have a great day!Best regards,
NikkoHi daves1997,
Thanks, there are two reasons why the fonts are too little.
1. Default font was set to 13px (I have changed it to 16px in Enfold > General Styling > Fonts (tab) > Default content font size)
2. At this point the font was still using 13px because of WP-Optimize plugin, after unchecking CSS minification and merging (I checked it again after checking) newer CSS was fetched and was returning the 16px size properly.
If you need to readjust the font size, just do the first step.Best regards,
NikkoMarch 24, 2021 at 6:04 am in reply to: Show Copyright for images in Standard Editor Blog Posts #1290034Hi spooniverse,
I understand, that’s why I mentioned it only triggers when adding the image.
Standard Editor is not defined by Enfold but by WordPress, so this is actually out of the scope of our support.
Since this is a general WordPress question and not based on the theme, try asking in https://stackoverflow.com/ some WordPress experts may be able to help or guide you on this topic.Best regards,
