January 21, 2020 at 8:50 am in reply to: Setting minimum font size for responsive flexible font size in Special Heading #1176606
There are only two active pages. Both using special headings. This is most likely a Quick CSS answer.
Can the variable type size in special headings have a minimum size so when it scales, it doesn’t become a small heading. Resize the front page to mobile. The type does not scale properly. Same on the about page. When you re-size it, it becomes far too small.
January 19, 2020 at 10:27 pm in reply to: Setting minimum font size for responsive flexible font size in Special Heading #1176144It’s pretty simple hopefully.
When you use variable type in a special heading, it resizes to fit the available space. However, the type is way to small and ends up being smaller than the 21pt subheading size.
I want to be able to control the minimum size on variable type for mobile.

December 7, 2019 at 6:45 pm in reply to: Custom JavaScript functionality using Enfold button #1163670Yeah, I was hoping it could have the exact same functionality as the open table button but keep consistent with my enfold buttons OR have it do that straight up from the navigation. When I try to add it to those things enfold/wordpress changes the code because it’s expecting a hard URL
December 6, 2019 at 7:44 pm in reply to: Custom JavaScript functionality using Enfold button #1163444I definitely would like some help with this. I have this javascript that just needs to be housed in an enfold button
<script type=’text/javascript’ src=’//www.opentable.ca/widget/reservation/loader?rid=1057615&type=standard&theme=wide&iframe=true&domain=ca&lang=en-CA&newtab=false’></script>
website is http://www.littlebirddimsum.com
Awesome. Trying that now. Cheers.
I didn’t see 4.5.1 will.fo that first

So do we just sit tight on all of our sites? All of mine are hosed t this point :(
So I can’t give a text block a max left or right width?
OK, lety me try to explain this better.
I love using grid rows, but they never stay contained within the 1310px like the content does in columns or colour sections. So what happens when i use a grid row and a make the browser window larger, the content (usually copy/text) expands outside the website container width. I’ll even make a dummy page to show you and mock it up.
The reason why i want the copy in a grid row to stay contained like the rest of the site is consistency. But obviously the flexibility of the grid rows is awesome. I’ve attached a screenshot, all i ever want to contain within the standard 1310px site width is content (special headings, text block, or whatever i put inside the container, it gives me options to put images beside copy and have it be responsive. Grid rows have the best responsiveness with background images or side images.
see attached, the orange circles is what i would want to contain (i just used demo as mock up. Hopefully i am making sense.

Jordan, amazing. Now i can do that with all elements. so much appreciated. I shouldn’t have missed that.
ok then how would i change elements that are already active on individual pages. For example if i wanted to change the mark tag on a pageid
I haven’t been able to get it to work
i’ve tried both of these
.page-id-2731 .all_colors mark {
color: #f37027;.special_o {
color: #f37027;
}I didn’t realize quick css was run in priority!
I did figure it out on my own by inspecting the element in chrom (SO proud of myself haha)
#top .custom-color-heading a {
text-decoration: none;
}NOW what i can’t figure out is how to do one of the following:
on that same page in the main header i am trying to change the special ampersand and some elements on the page to orangeI cheated this on the original page but changing <mark></mark> to blue (lame i know but it’s the only way i could do it)
How can i add inline styles like <mark> and then change them per page OR how can i have special colors and styles i just call on when i need them without breaking everything? I am loving this and i am getting better but certain things trip me up.
1. how do i change special elements like <mark></mark> per page
2. Can i create my own special elements and add them to the css? for example <orange></orange>
3. what does #top control and do in CSSthanks a million

I figured it out on my own!!!!!!
#top .custom-color-heading a {
text-decoration: none;
}Inspect element in chrome and trying things in real time is a game changer! w00t!
I can’t get this to work at all, and I am struggling with custom classes in general.
.ajp-speacialheading {
a:hover, a:focus, a:visited, #top .av_inherit_color a {
text-decoration: none !important;
}Not only does it not remove the underline, it kicks my header into two lines.
(I’ve only done this on my custom side nav on the top one to test it out, I can make it do other things just not remove underline, and that’s all I want for that section
Hi Yigit, this doesn’t seem to be working for me, still underlined
Link and all quick css pasted in private content
October 18, 2018 at 9:53 pm in reply to: Video Bug on Full Screen Slider in Safari (Enfold V 4.5) #1023665LOL ENFOLD 4.5 not Safari 4.5, I have the latest version f both enfold AND Safari ;)
The background video for color section loops, I want it to play once and default back to an image because I have more design capabilities over top of a colour section vs full width slider

October 15, 2018 at 5:55 pm in reply to: Color Section Background video: Custom Background Image #1021687I need to re-open this thread (I know it’s old, but the topic is relevant) . Is there a way for the video to only play once and then switch to the background image? I have a short commercial playing, so looping it makes no sense, but I absolutely LOVE it as a color section background. Please help. A
October 15, 2018 at 4:06 pm in reply to: Problem Updating Enfold: "Download failed. Problem downloading theme" #1021633I’m also having the same issues (errors updating via wp. Also, Themeforest only has 4.4 to download from so I don’t have access to the 4.5 zip to upload via ftp. Hoping to resolve this today as a I have a new site going live next week
September 27, 2018 at 6:57 pm in reply to: Progress Bar Line Height and Font color on dark background #1015452Quick other Question (because there are no threads for it) Why don’t animations or scroll backgrounds work on ipad?
September 27, 2018 at 6:18 pm in reply to: Progress Bar Line Height and Font color on dark background #1015427Thanks for the reply!
1. This doesn’t change the gap between the progress bars themselves (I want the bars much tighter together vertically, is there a way to do that?
2. I’m speaking about the fade in animation used on sections, images, content etc, not the progress bar animation.
Thanks!
September 27, 2018 at 2:54 am in reply to: Progress Bar Line Height and Font color on dark background #1015065.progressbar-title {
position: relative;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
padding: 0;
background: none;
color: #ffffff;
line-height: 1.7em;
font-size: 0.9em;
font-weight: bold;
text-transform: uppercase;
letter-spacing: 0.5px;
}That solves the first one. Still can’t figure out space between each skill/bar.
Also, one last question. trying to figure out quick css to globally slow down the fade-in animation for a more dramatic effect.
Thanks everyone. I couldn’t have gotten the site to where it is without these forums.

Awesome. That’s kind of what i figured was needed. Much appreciated
September 26, 2018 at 10:17 pm in reply to: Section Background Image Best Practices (Please help) #1015004Please close this ticket, i figured it out. Kind of.
No problem. In order for me to have a bright heading and a more subtle color paragraph copy (which looks much better) I have to use a custom colour, which is no problem, but if i want to make a site wide change by changing the theme colours that no longer works.
Also, when you force a colour instead of using meta or default, you lose the color for dropcaps or special elements like the ampersand.
If you look at “you can’t get these fixtures anywhere else, i can only get that effect by forcing #ffffff (brighter heading than subheading)
I can live with it this way, i just like enfold’s styling on special elements
How about the body copy of the meta heading?
September 22, 2018 at 7:40 pm in reply to: Section Background Image Best Practices (Please help) #1013119Also can’t figure out why i lose all padding on mobile
