According to GoDaddy, they are only happening on the backend. I do get 503 Service Not Available errors but that is all I see other than the logs.

I have disabled Yoast for now.

The blog has 5 posts which have masonry galleries within them, but that is in the post not not he blog page. If I need to rebuild the blog page I’m OK with that. If I need to kill all 5 posts and rebuild them I can even do that. The question is will that fit the issue?

Any direction is good direction as this is adversely affecting my other 3 sites on that server and I need those up and running all the time.

in reply to: Undefined Index – Error #1062395

So do you guys have any suggestions? Will deleting the page/blog posts and recreating it solve the problem? Like I said, its 5 posts, not a huge deal.

I need to resolve this as it is adversely affecting the other sites as well.

    Thank you!
    Michael

    Gunter,

The page is the blog (boudoirphilly.com/blog that has only 5 total posts. The errors are continuing and not changing at all. I did try disabling all plugins for well over a week, same results.

in reply to: Update to 4.5.3 Fails #1059804

Same here. Works fine now. I was debating on posting the question here or with Envato. I guessed wrong. It was an Envato issue all along. I didn’t think our Kriesi staff would let us down like that.

Yep. fixed over night. Like I said, weird

If someone could close the ticket please.

in reply to: Having issues after updates and a server move. #1057489

nope. ugh. Working with GoDaddy to figure out what’s up. This is transferring to all themes so its either GD or WP

    Thanks Rikard!

    Victoria,

Please close this ticket. Issue has been resolve. It was the upload method. Long story, blame GoDaddy.

in reply to: White Screen of Death with FTP update #1055472

As I am telling he support guys in a private message, this is on a managed WP server (which is what I think is the cause) and that it is WP Version 5.0.3
PHP 7.2. Other info was provided to them that I won’t share publicly.

in reply to: White Screen of Death with FTP update #1055429

    Guenni,

Perhaps I’m not explaining this properly. On the first attempt with enfold child as the active theme I attempted to update with Update From Zip. That failed, but the site was up and fine.

I then tried to update the via ftp, over writing the enfold folder. Result wsod. Restored Backup.

Activated twenty seventeen, renamed the enfold folder, uploaded the new version, when I activated enfold wsod. Restored backup.

Repeated this and renamed both enfold and enfold child, renamed the child folder back, activated it, wsod.

I know how child themes work. I tried it just to be sure. I have 30 active licenses and this is the only one getting the wsod.

Actually I did that as well on the third try. I renamed the Enfold, and the Enfold Child folders to .old. same result.

in reply to: White Screen of Death with FTP update #1055254

I had a backup so I just overwrote.

    Rikard,

I’m getting an error when I try to add the new key. The error is here; http://michaelalbany.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Error.jpg
    Login provided in private details.

Just so you are aware, I just moved the sites to GoDaddy managed WordPress. I will be moving them to cpanel later this week. No other plugins are active and the ssl is temporarily disabled until the final move.

When I mentioned this error to Envato they said its your issue not theirs. It’s their API but they say to talk to you. ugh.

In reguard to the additional licenses, they are due to clients switching to other developers, going out of buisiness, etc. I will re-use those licenses on new projects, one being a new venture of my own. I just need to figure out which licenses continue to carry support and which need to have it added.

    Victoria,

I have 30 licenses. If the keys are license specific how can I easily matched them to the appropriate license?

Also, In some cases I have purchased multiple licenses at a time but used one zip file to install on multiple sites. Will this cause a problem and if so, how do I fix it?

On a similar note, Of the 30 licenses I only have about 24 or 25 actually installed. What steps should i take to get all of this in order?

Please don’t tell me I have to generate the key for each and then manually add them until I find the ones that correspond. That will take a lifetime that I just don’t have to spare.

    Thank you!

So to johpg, what you’re saying is do an ftp upload using a cpanel GUI? That would work too.

FTP vs cpanel speed wise should be virtually the same. If you are experiencing incomplete transfers, file corruption, and/or slow upload speeds you may want to either check your ftp client configuration, or look into another ftp client.

Also, the plugin option mentioned above works very well.

in reply to: Switch from Enfold to Enfold Child #1038743

    Victoria,

The difficulties I was having were two fold, one was not knowing how easy that would be to do in the new version (import Parent Theme Settings – poof done!), and the more important difficulty of finding the time to do it! Had I know it would take less than 3 minutes…

Thank you! Please close this ticket.

Rikard, That has worked on one site so far. Fingers crossed for the next 23.

I must really love this theme. 28 licenses. Sheesh!

in reply to: Update problem #1033615

    Hmm…. This is odd.

I did the instructions that Dude stated on September 20th and that worked perfectly for one site (michaelalbany.com). When i do the exact same steps for neillrealtyllc.com it says its running 4.2 and is up to date.

    Suggestions?

Note; I do not have access to the FTP at this time. See one of my first notes in August or September.

    Ismael,

Can you elaborate more on the imposed rate limit from Envato? I know it won’t solve anything but I am curious.

    Thanks!
    Michael

in reply to: Update problem #1012268

    What Dude said.

There are servers out there running PHP 5.6 and earlier too. You have to be on a minimum of 5.6 for enfold, but 7.1 is best at this point, or so has been my experience.

Also, by uninstalling Optimus you are doing well nipping at the issue. That tells you that you are on the right track and that there is a conflict, or that that along with the PHP version is what is causing the issue. It could be any combination of things but you are on the right track.

Remember to backup after each success so you don’t have to redo any steps if something goes totally wrong. Its annoying to have to do, but trust me, its worth it if anything does go wrong. And in the mean time you have a dog that likes to play rugby to kill time with!

in reply to: Update problem #1012083

They are in the wp-content/plugins/ folder. There you will see the content of the Plugins you have installed.

Keep in mind it is best to have as few plugins installed as possible. Enfold is a fantastic theme because it requires so few plugins to be installed. IT pretty much does most of the heavy lifting. I’m not saying you, but many people tend to not let their theme do the work for them. They hope and search for “an easier way” to do this or that. This tends to cause weird issues that take forever to figure out. I recall a bug that was in a software that I was testing that require 64 specific actions to happen before the bug would cause a problem. You would think, Oh well that’s no big deal. Except that the bug wiped the database for that software. AKA, you lost everything if you did those 64 things in a row.

With that in mind, look also at your basics. Make sure you are on the correct version of PHP on the server. Make sure that the server you’r on is not a Windows server. If you use shared hosting, have your service provider run a scan for malware on the whole server. Try everything you can think of.

Although you feel that Kriesi isn’t giving you the support you need, remember that what I have seen, as limited as that is, you seem to be the only person that has this issue after taking the steps suggested. That says to me that you have to look at what is unique about your site at this level.

One issue I ran into recently was that a client of mine had a weird issue with Enfold not rendering images properly. What fixed this issue was to uninstall the theme that they were using before we upgraded them to Enfold. By uninstalling that theme from the system and then manually making sure the folder was gone the problem was resolve. Something in their code from at least 4-5 years ago crated a conflict. When the theme was rendered only as inactive, that bit of code didn’t let go. It had to be removed from the database.

In short, Backup the entire site as it is today, then uninstall anything you don’t absolutely need. Then reinstall the Enfold Update. I bet Hanna would be willing to help. ;-)

Marko7 – You can disable your plugins by renaming the folders to [plugin name].old via FTP

Also, great location! If I ever get down-under I am staying in one of your cottages!

in reply to: Update problem #1001278

    Victoria,

Thank you but at this time I can’t change anything via FTP. The client has another developer in there working on another site, and there are issues with how they are managing the FTP. Until I can get those issues confirmed and corrected I am stuck with the WP interface.

in reply to: Update problem #1001022

    I think I see a trend here… I have the same issue

This is on a GoDaddy Server
    Wordpress version 4.9.8
Enfold version 4.2 trying to upgrade to 4.4.1
Plugins SideKick and WP101 were deleted.
    Akismet is installed and deactivated.
Search Engine Visibility by GoDaddy has been deactivated.
No other plugins loaded at all. ever.
    PHP version 5.6

Same issue. Manual update not an option at this time.

in reply to: Captcha not Catching #933634

Minor detail, its listed as “No longer available for download”

Went through 10 pages of requests (some are people just not paying attention). About to request an update to Captcha.

Thanks and feel free to close this ticket. Or we can converse all day if you’d like. I have time. ;-)

in reply to: Captcha not Catching #933622

Actually I was referring to this one: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/contact-form-spam-seeking-suggestions/ But I saw that one too. I am not using any third party Captcha at this point. I guess that is about to change.

I will make the suggestion/vote now.

in reply to: PHP issues with 4.2.1? Attn: Yigit #899854

Looks fine. That will eliminate the PHP 5.6 possibility of an issue. I will update the other licenses one at a time and let you kwon if I see if there are any issues.

Thanks. I kind of wish it had crashed for you so you could have figure out the problems.

Thanks again. Please close this ticket.

in reply to: PHP issues with 4.2.1? Attn: Yigit #899835

@yigit – the setup is with Filezilla’s quick connect. Try setting up a full “New Site” with the credentials in Private Content. In this case it is something to do with GoDaffy… errr… GoDADDY servers. ;-)

in reply to: Site down since update #899811

Opps wrong thread. I will check FTP and update the other thread.

in reply to: Site down since update #899806

    @yigit,

I haven’t actually run the updates yet so the site is still up. I was going to let you connect and use the site as a test. If you would like me to try, I can do that but it won’t be right away.

I have downloaded the file so that I will have it on hand when I do.

    Thank you!
