The string should be in both language files. Check to have the latest version of Enfold installed. And check what language you have set in WordPress options. Deutsch or Deutsch (Sie).
Try to clear the browser cache.
Hi Phil87,
you have to edit the file wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/de_DE.po with the app PoEdit. Search for the string you want to change, to the changes and save both the .po and the .mo files back to your server.Thanks Mike. This was helpful!
After replacing the .js file the map is finally working in Safari again.

This forum also seems to have a problem with embedded imgur images…
This is the image I embedded into my previous post via the img tag.

Hi,
I just realized that I have the same problem with two of my Enfold sites. Safari (latest version, macOS 10.14.6) is not showing the Google maps. Couple of errors in the console.Please fix as soon as possible!
Edit: I deactivated js compressing and merging – no effect, still no map in Safari…

In the Enfold changelog for v4.6 you say:
added: Option to disable Google Maps in frontend (replaces filter avf_load_google_map_api_prohibited)
What does this mean? Where can I find this? How do I enable maps by default?

Same here. Maps are shown only after accepting the Cookie consent. I don’t like this.
How can I translate the message to my site language: “Maps were disabled by the visitor on this site. Click to open the map in a new window.”
April 19, 2019 at 9:46 am in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1092643Hi,
I tested with different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari). All show the mixed content warning. And, yes I cleared browser cache and deactivated browser addons. Can you help me find the reason why the images get served via http?
Thanks,
Martin
April 18, 2019 at 8:38 am in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1092337Hi Ismael,
thanks for your response.
Yes, you are right: both images (floral-dark.png and floral-light.png) display correctly. But they get loaded via http protocol and not via https. That is because I get a mixed content warning and the browser is not showing the secure lock symbol in address bar.
Please modify the altered theme file you mentioned in post 1088640.
Obviously the fix didn’t correct the wrong file path in a way that secure https connections are possible.

.alternate_color {
background: #719430 url(https://brandenburgische-akademie.de/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/background-images/floral-light.png) top center repeat scroll;- This reply was modified 5 years, 6 months ago by Metasequ0ia.
April 15, 2019 at 9:20 am in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1090882Well that is because I deactivated css merging because of the still persisting problems.
With css merging activated it looks like this:
.alternate_color { background: #719430 url(https://brandenburgische-akademie.de/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/background-images/floral-light.png) top center repeat scroll;
And console shows a mixed content warning.

April 13, 2019 at 10:36 am in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1090331Why do I have to install an extra plugin? All my content was available via https before your modifications. You should supply a working fix for that image problem that allows the image to get served via https.
April 9, 2019 at 12:42 pm in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1088641Hi Ismael,
thanks for the solution. It works, but is not perfect. The image gets loaded but not over https. Console shows an mixed content warning:
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://brandenburgische-akademie.de/de/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://brandenburgische-akademie.de/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/background-images/floral-dark.png’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
April 8, 2019 at 9:07 am in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1088174Hi Ismael,
I updated to 4.5.5 and the issue with the background image still persists. When activation CSS merging the background image fails to load because of an uncorrect path.

February 11, 2019 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1065620Hi Victoria,
thanks for having a look at this.
Actually, I deactivated css merging and saved the Theme options and the issue is gone.
Well, this is what I also experienced. But it seems like a bug in Enfold CSS merging. I would like to use the css merging and also have a background image in my Alternate Content area. That is why I opened the support ticket, to let you know that there is something not working properly with the css merging. Any chance the developers will have a look at this?

-MartinFebruary 5, 2019 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Background image in Alternate Content disappers after activation CSS-aggregation #1063166Well, you actually can’t see it, because the background image isn’t there anymore.
June 1, 2018 at 3:30 pm in reply to: How can I translate the string "Maps were disabled by the visitor on this site." #965413Hi Yigit,
i already used the shortcode with custom text on my privacy policy page to explain the switch which enables/disables Google Maps. But how can I change the text that shows up on the page that conatins the map when Google Maps are disabled? Instead of the map now Enfold shows a box with the string “Maps were disabled by the visitor on this site”.
The new custom font uploader is not working with Safari (v11.1). Chrome works.
Hi Monika,
do you have the language Deutsch (formal) activated? There is a bug in WP 4.9 –> https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/42574
A temporary workaround is to change your own users language in the back-end (if you don’t wish to change the language used for your site in general), this can be done from your profile page.
I did some investigations and discovered that the css value
a {max-width:100%}
in base.css is responsible for the display issue with multiple day events.I set a
{max-width: none;}
in my child theme style.css and now the events display correctly.Can you please tell me if this modification has negative side-effects on other links on the website? What is the purpose of the a {max-width: 100%} setting?
If there is no negative impact this topic can be closed.
Hi,
I moved the development site to a production server and now the search is working. So the issue was host related…
Hi Victoria,
I disabled all plugins but no improvement. The Ajax search is still not working. The threads you send are not helpful for my problem. What can we do? A similiar site I created with Enfold has not the search problem: Brandenburgische Akademie.
I need further assistence here.
Looking forward to hear from you.

Any progress on this? I experience the same problem with no sidebar on pages with grid row.
