I’m not sure why, but it works now. I’ll keep an eye on it and get back to you if the problem occurs again (it may have been a cache problem).

We were able to solve the problem by transferring not only the footer.php but also the header.php from the parent theme to the child theme.

even though I’m the first Enfold customer with the problem, it’s like when I replace Enfold with a WP default theme, the error doesn’t show up. See my screenshot.
Can you spot any anomalies in functions.php that may conflict with Enfold? I am of course still after it to solve the problem :)

thanks for your quick feedback. I created a blank page for you once (see link below) and set it to “password protected” in WordPress. When you access the page you are redirected to the 404 error page.
Can you please log into WP once and see where the problem is?

MarcelP.S. I use Enfold 4.8.9.1. In the theme settings Enfold tells me that this is the latest version. Is there also a bug here?

Thank you very much. I had tried this with the footer.php and did not know that the header.php is also relevant for this. I have exchanged both files and it works – almost everywhere.
Only the EN version of the website – and here too only the start page – still shows the “defective” standard footer. The footer for all subpages of the EN language version is correct.
What could be the reason for this?

(A note for later readers of this post: the loop-index.php file should be copied from the Enfold folder to the /your-child-theme/includes/ folder and edited there to be update-safe).

as I wrote, the sender email address of the mail is no-reply@… and then my domain. I posted it again in private content area. SPAM protection is activated with iThemes Security. I had sent the login details to the website.
What explanation do you have for that? The case has already occurred frequently? Possibly a technical problem? Can it be excluded that requests via the form will be lost?

I am not sure what has been changed but the favicon is now displayed again. So far, I had always used incognito mode for testing (Google Chrome).

thank you for your answer. Can you please tell me in what file does the Enfold theme creates the DOM for the (flex) columns? Maybe with this help I can do the changes in my child theme alone. If the file does not help me, I will hire a freelancer of course, thank you :)

thank you.I have used the video element now. Is it possible to autplay the video? In “Slide show” element I can see the settings “autoplay” but not in the video element. Any idea how to autoplay videos with video element?

I did checked the frontpage and Google Fonts is still loaded. I think that it could be because of Google Maps integration. On subpages, without Google Maps integration, Google Fonts is not loaded.I think that is the explanation of the problem.
Any “Best practice” how to prevent loading Google Fonts with using Google Maps with Enfold?

the code is in function.php of child theme of course. Location is themes/enfold-child/. Please check backend > design > editor.
I add another website to private content. Here the code is not working as well. Google fonts is still loading. I have added the code to functions.php of child-theme as described above.
Can you please check these both websites why it is not working?
