Hi, I did all that, please find the access in private content. Thanks a lot!

in reply to: Advanced styling burger menu doesn't work #1187807

Hi Yigit, thanks for your fast reply and sorry for not getting back to you any earlier. My client’s website (or website to be ;-)) was temporarily down. Exchanging the file didn’t help, although I saved several times and used a fresh and empty browser to check. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

in reply to: social buttons broken with WP 5.3.1 update #1165528

Same here after latest WP update. Please provide a fix asap (as 4.6.4 will probably see the light of days only in 2020…).

Update: It affects Enfold 4.6.3.1, I have two sites running still on 4.5.4, here the problem doesn’t exist. All plugins decativated to test.

in reply to: Cooke bar styling elements don't work since 4.6 #1147766

Hi Vinay, thanks, I am aware of the advanced styling options, and I think that something indeed is wrong with those since the upudate to 4.6. Your suggestion partially did the job and I could alter some elements. But not all of them. For example, the background doesn’t fully accept the defined color from the background color setting in the options. It builds like a rectangle around the text of the cookie bar, the rest around remains dark transparent. In various other threads here on the forum I found custom CSS to solve this. But the advanced styling options won’t work. I also couldn’t change the frame color of the Link and Info button, but for the Dismiss button it worked. Again: I followed all your steps, part of the cookie bar can be altered by using the advanced styling options, other parts cannot.

I hope that gives you some information to look into it. It worked before and still works in 4.5.7. And sorry, I still cannot show you the problem, like I said, I only have a local testing area which runs all latest possible versions of PHP etc.So that won’t cause the issue, I could reproduce it on live sites before I switched back to 4.5.7.

Thanks a lot for looking into it. I know it’s not a showstopper, however that advanced styling options are helpful and should work flawlessly, right?

in reply to: GDPR modal without message bar not possible anymore? #1146520

I know I should start my own thread for support, but I just wanted to confirm that I am having exactly the same issue, only two options: Enable/Disable. Latest available version of 4.6.3.1. I’ll observe this thread here now, thanks.

in reply to: Cooke bar styling elements don't work since 4.6 #1145694

Hi Rikard, sorry for my belated reply. Like I wrote, I went back to using 4.5.7, so far I only have a local testing area. Basically I want to alter all colors of the background of the bar itself, the button colors and the button’s frame color’s. Probably I will have to alter the fonts as well.

Maybe you can give me some custom CSS to start with and I take it from there as good as I can.

Will this be fixed in 4.6.4?

Thanks a lot and best regards?

in reply to: Cookie consent width adjustment possible? #974101

Hi Victoria, that did the job, excellent. Thank you very much!

in reply to: Cookie consent width adjustment possible? #973262

Hi Nikko, sorry, no, it’s not. Maybe I wasn’t precise enough. What I meant is that the content of the cookie consent is tied to the max. container width of the Enfold layout.

So, as a standard, I have 1.310px and the message bar breaks into two lines:

    1.310px width

If I set the layout width to 100% the message within the cookie bar has more space and therefore shows in one line only:

    100% width

Is that any clearer? It’s a bit difficult for me to explain.

So my idea is to leave the layout width of Enfold an 1.310px but find a way to set the content/container of the cookie consent bar to 100%.

    Thank you very much!!

in reply to: Layerslider is loading Google Font – GDPR issue #967708

Hey Rikard, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I cannot anymore, our bosses are a little nervous about the various call-to-orders we already have here in Germany, because of the GDPR/DSGVO. So we had to remove the Layerslider instantly and replace it with a color section and background image etc.

What I did to figure that problem out. I created a simple test page. I always check the sources of each loaded page in the developer tools of Chrome. I added a simple Layerslider (from the plugin, not the simple slider element). All this happens on a website that loads the Google fonts locally, using the the new Custom Font Manager. So a blank testing page won’t load any Google fonts. As soon as I added any Layerslider, the page will load Google fonts from the Google servers, as you will be able to see in the developers tools.

I hope this helps you to further investigate the issue.

    Thanks a lot.

in reply to: No cookie YouTube in background videos #966369

@ Basilis, I understand that you have to defend your point of view. What I don’t understand is why you seem to think I am totally clueless on the matter and should read more about it. Do you know anything about my background?

I most definitely won’t start an argument about false advertising. You guys have to know what you are doing. From a German perspective Enfold is NOT fully GDPR/DSGVO complaint which is a simple fact. And I like to think I can add a “yet” to my last sentence, because as you can see more and more Enfold users tell you the same thing on various threads throughout the Enfold forum. So I am convinced the Kriesi team will continue to not only improve Enfold itself but also improve the GDPR compliance.

Talking about reading more, I can only advise you Basilis, to read more on the already ongoing lawsuits here in Germany, some because of a missing or insufficient privacy policy, some because of the useage of Google Web Fonts, and some because of not using the no cookie domains from YouTube! I can only provide information in German, but I know you got a bunch of people on the team who speak German. You should really get into this and discuss the matter in your next team meeting.

I am fully aware that at the moment you find different voices on how to deal with YouTube videos. Stating a passage in the privacy policy is enough to safely use YouTube videos is and remains dangerous and simply wrong.

    Cheers!

Great, both answers helped, thank you very very much :-) !!

in reply to: How is [av_privacy_video_embeds] suppsed to work? #964374

Thanks a lot Ismael, got it.

I suppose I can open the video in a Lightbox using this paramter: ?iframe=true right? Couldn’t test that yet, sorry.

Then I understood in a quick test that it’s only working when the video has been embedded via Enfold element, like e.g. the video element. It won’t be working when I use an iFrame code snippet from YouTube, e.g. in a text element. Can you confirm this? If so, will that be changed in a later version?

And at the end, will it be possible to fetch the video preview thumbnail from YouTube instead of having a black box with a play button? Maybe you guys would like to investigate the YouTube Lyte plugin…?

Thank you very much and cheers.

in reply to: No cookie YouTube in background videos #964161

Well, as you obviously won’t do anything about it, I will now have to find solutions following lion’s or Guenni’s advice. Or remove the background video at all. I was faithful you would listen and add this needed feature. Another option for me could be to use another plugin like e.g. YouTube Lyte. This however will not work with background videos. And actually I wanted to avoid using more plugins and just use what’s included into Enfold.

Of course you are right when you say that YouTube still sets cookies. But if you use the no-cookie URL’s NO cookie will come from YouTube until the user clicks on the play button! Only then cookies will be set, but e.g. no DoubleClick cookies anymore!

Pretty much all DGSVO (GDPR) specialized lawyers in Germany state it is now obligatory to use the no-cookie URLs! Using an iFrame it’s no problem, using the Enfold fields it’s impossible without the extras from lion or Guenni I suppose.

I am aware I am anything but important to you, but at the moment stating Enfold is GDRP or DSGVO compliant is simply false advertisement I am afraid.

Anyway. I have my reply, have seen the same reply in all other threads on the topic and need to solve it myself. Thank you very much nevertheless.

    Cheers.

Despite many voices here in the forum, the Kriesi team states it’s not necessary to use no-cookie URL’s :-(. See here for example (there are more threads on the matter):

    or here:

what should be possible is to insert on background-video input field the nocookie link version too.

Exactly Günther. Thanks for your information, I have seen that thread before and will look into this as well.

However, @Victoria, I do not believe this is a feature that has to be requested. From where I stand, and like I mentioned before, there are several other voices claiming the same all over the forum, Enfold is not GDPR compliant the way it is. Although you guys have done a GREAT job on the last update. But currently you advertize Enfold to be compliant while it’s not. At least not fully.

Either way, Enfold is my theme of choice and will remain of course. It’s just to make a product which is nearly perfect completely perfect… There is no obligation for you, no doubt. But please listen to your users and add the option to use no cookie domains for YouTube videos.

    Cheers!

in reply to: No cookie YouTube in background videos #963033

@lion73: Thank you very very much, I will try to figure that out.

But I still believe an implementation into Enfold is mandatory and hope for a positive reaction from the Kriesi team.

Hi Lion, thanks a lot for your impressive reply. For normal videos i already chose the iFrame solution with the no-cookie URL from YouTube. What I didn’t do is add the custom CSS you recommend, I will look into this, thank you very much!

But what I couldn’t figure out is how to use a no-cookie URL for a background video in a color section. This is what’s giving me the headache at the moment.

Of course we have added a YouTube passage to our privacy policy like Basisilis suggested. But according to the GDPR, in our case the German DSGVO this is NOT enough.

So I truly hope the Kriesi team will react and hopefully take Lion’s suggestions into a quick consideration.

in reply to: No cookie YouTube in background videos #963001

Hi again, I second TF_Photogrüahy’s statement! With all due respect that answer is more than unsatisfying!

I kindly also ask to please hand that issue to Kriesi and come up with a solution. Please!

    Thanks a lot.

P.S. I have seen several threads with that request so it’s not only me and TF-Photography!

in reply to: Cookie Consent Message / Modal Window #962998

@ Ismael, I am very sorry, it was a testing environment and our admin deleted the subdomain without asking back. I was however able to figure out how the modal window is supposed to work, so it was actually just me misunderstanding the funcionality of the new system. Sorry for the confusion. My topic in this thread is solved, thanks a lot!

in reply to: Simple script not working with the last update #962024

We had the same issue. I am not the programmer, but as far as i understood it’s the “$” that is causing the problem. If you replace it by “jquery” it should be working again, but like I said, I am not a programmer.

However it happend to us when we switched from 4.2.6 to 4.3.

in reply to: Did you just add a font upload feature? #962021

@ Vinay, what would be the custom CSS to have Open Sans in the way it was used when it was served from Google in Enfold please? I don’t understand why the same font comes in two different font weights depending on wether it’s served locally or from Google’s servers.

    Thank you very much!

in reply to: Cookie Consent Message / Modal Window #961365

Hey, here is the link (it’s a testing environment, please see private content). I could reproduce the issue on other sites I maintain, however, without finding the time to dig deeper into the issue this seems to ouccur when you have only one button defined (e.g. I accept or OK).

    Thanks!

in reply to: No cookie YouTube in background videos #961364

Thanks Basilis, I hope they find a quick solution. I consider this to be important for the GDPR complaince. Thx!

in reply to: Update theme – not all features are visible #960926

This was implemented in version 4.3 afaIr. Maybe you want to update to the latest version 4.4 to have all new features available…

You will find an option to add that checkbox in the Privacy and Cookies section of the Enfold settings.

in reply to: font upload #960695

You can find it in the section Import/Export in the Enfold settings. It is called Custom Font Manager. But how is the new feature intended to work exactly?

I uploaded a zip file from Google but then what? The website is still using the fonts from the google servers. What has to be done to ONLY load custom fonts from my own server please? And is the option for users to disable Google web fonts (shortcode in the privacy settings) for those who continue to use fonts from the Google servers or is there a combination or connection? Thanks a lot for a little clarification.
