    Hi,
in your theme the user can add youtube short links to display videos.
the problem is this solution is not compient anymore with the new DSGVO / GDPR laws.

i found this german article about how to add youtube videos DSGVO / GDPR compliant but it is using iframe
    https://www.heise.de/ct/ausgabe/2016-1-YouTube-Videos-datenschutzkonform-einbetten-3046316.html

is it possible that you work something out for your next theme update to add this iframes with the youtube-nocookie links?

    thanks

    Hey pandaweb,

We are working already on some updates so we can make our theme complacence with GDPR.
Patience is appreciated while we work on that.

    Best regards,

Any news here? The new law is valid in 5 days. Is it better to disable youtube videos meanwhile?

    Best regards,

the nocookie variants are GDPR compliant – but background video does not accept these youtube links in the input field.
This has to be changed definitly! And i hope that the 4.4 Version will have that!

    Hi,

We havent worked on an update for that and honestly we cant find that this is something needed?
Why not just use a different way to embed youtube? :)

    Hi,

please dont let us down with this problem.
of course we tried different plugins.
the problem is that we have to use a youtube short link for a video that will be displayed as a BACKGROUND VIDEO.
    youtube is collecting user data.

you promised us a solution – we are counting on your help!

    Hi,

The only solution is you go ahead and write on your privacy settings, that you are using Youtube videos, that will take care of that.

We do not offer a different solution right now.

    Best regards,
    Basilis
