    Hey!

just tested it and it seems the plugin fetches and converts mailto links, then adds some javascript to it for tracking events. To be honest I have no idea if this is a theme issue or a plugin issue. I cant really work around the plugin code since it hooks into the output of the shortcode and I dont know enough of the replacing function to suggest any modifications. sorry for that :/

I think currently the only choice is contact the plugin author and ask for any guidance…

in reply to: Can Team Member Photos Link to a page #123981

    Hey!

Sorry thats not really possible without php file modification which I dont really recommend. I would recommend to simply insert a single icon like a forward pointing arrow and add the link to that page to this icon :)

Has almost the same effect ;)

    Cheers!

in reply to: Post with no sidbar only 600px wide #125574

    Hey!

the width is a simple styling and usability choice. having the blog without sidebar stretch across the full width makes it much harder to read for visitors, because a single line of text would become much longer. The human eye loses focus much easier on a very long line than on a short one and so people will probably read more of your entry if they dont lose focus along the line ;)

in reply to: Videos In Ajax Portfolio #125916

    Hey!

I am sorry, the ajax portfolio does not yet support videos. It works in a much different way than the other themes we used til now, so it will take some time to add this functionality ;)

Feel free to add any suggestions and wishes to our feature request thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-feature-requests

in reply to: 1.7 Contact Forms Not Sending Email… #125627

    Hey!

Hey! Next theme update will use wordpress mail function as default, since it seems to work much better on some server settings than the default php mail function :)

    Best regards,

    Hey!

Great! WIll close this then ;)

in reply to: Layer Slider causing 404 error #125963

Hey! make sure then to re-save the setting. Since you only recently deleted the ds store file it might be that your database is still set to that value. Let me know if the error re appears once you have set and saved it to “fullwidth” :)

in reply to: slideshow is not auto-rotating when previewing in AJAX #126179

    Hi!

The autorotation not playing is actually a bug, thanks for noticing and reporting it. It will be fixed with the next version :)

If you want to disable the slideshow links you would need to do that manually be editing the file config-temlatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/slideshow.php

scroll down to line 382 and edit the following:

in reply to: Layer Slider causing 404 error #125961

Hey! Once it is deleted make sure that you open the general settings of your layerslider slideshow and make sure that the skin is not set to DS_Store but to fullwidth:

    Hey!

Will add the fix to the next update ;)

in reply to: Font Icon Issue #125300

    Hey Guys!

Thanks for making us aware of this. was indeed a rather complicated builder bug but I was able to fix it. Next update (probably at the end of the week) will take care of it ;)

    Cheers!

in reply to: Shop in dummy data enfold #126047

Hey! if you install woocommerce the plugin asks you to create the default woocommerce pages, like shop, checkout etc, thats why its not included in the dummy data. SImply install and activate the plugin, then add some products ;)

in reply to: Want to use Revolution Slider #116300

    Hey Guys!

I have done some research before I have chosen the layerslider plugin and read tons of comments on other themes that use either one of those sliders and guess what: there were always people who liked the other slider better. Both sliders work nice for the most part but both also have their issues. Both sliders also get regular updates so if there are issues they usually get fixed fast.

So it all came down to the decision if I want to incorporate only one or both of those plugins, and quite frankly, I think its horrible that theme authors put redundant slideshows into their themes.

You load twice as much javascript, twice as much css, your server needs more memory, your customers get confused why there are 2 slideshows that do the same but different.

So I decided to only use one and the decision to use layerslider was made because it worked very well out of the box with the theme (at least for me and most user we have). I am not sure were exactly one could have problems that last for hours with the interface of the slider. There are a lot of options, thats true but its pretty straight forward how to create slides if you ask me (apart from one confirmed bug with css scaling, which the developer already acknowledged and which will be fixed soon)

So currently I have no intentions of implementing the rev slider as a default. I will maybe add a developer option to switch with a future update but there are a lot of requests that I consider more important than to add basically the same slideshow once more.

PS: Please keep in mind that support is provided voluntary on themeforest, and not at all necessary. I think its good business and thats why I pay 4 people out of my own pocket without charging any extra fees and also help out myself. But if you are rude (didnt read the deleted sentence but I know that Dude seldom censors anything) I have no problems denying anyone access to these forums.

PPS: If you have constructive criticism on how you would like to have the slider improved or whats bugging you feel free to post it. I have worked quite some time now with the layerslider team and they always took my suggestions seriously. You might find your suggestions in the next update :)

in reply to: Layout Builder – Apply individual CSS styles #124797

I am not sure about giving each element a unique class but the next update will allow to apply unqiue ids to sections, so you can place elements within a section and then target those elements by using the parent section id

in reply to: Slider problem – slider stops after 2. image #125012

    Hey!

Hey! Not sure why this is happening either, cant reproduce the issue yet. Mind deactivating the plugins you use and try it again? maybe one of them is interfering?

in reply to: Problems with layerslider #123718

Just got a response from the layerslider developer:

We are using the jQuery Transit plugin for accelerated CSS3 transitions for ideal performance on all devices. Both plugins registers their own cssHooks in jQuery, and it seems they are overriding each other.

We are going to use a modified jQuery Transit that uses different name-spaces in cssHooks to fix this issue. There are other small issues we need to take care of, so the next update will be released very soon and I will send it to you when it is ready.

In the meantime, enabling the “Put JS includes to body” option in the Global Settings of a slider should solve the problem.

in reply to: Page-Based Pagination is Flawed #124662

Hey! I understand were you are coming from but in your case it might be better to use a plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/nimble-portfolio/

The plugin allows ajax fetching of posts. I am not sure if we will ever add what you need, mostly because it makes the whole portfolio experience slower and more complex. Since it does only benefit a small subset of users I am not convinced that adding this behavior is smart…

    Cheers!

in reply to: Problems with layerslider #123717

Hey! Actually it seems to be a compatibility problem with another external script we are using, that is necessary for the portfolio sorting functions. I’ve already informed the layerslider team.

Hopefully this gets resolved soon ;)

    Cheers!

in reply to: How to Insert Slide Show with LayerSlider #123960

    hey!

The layerslider scripts are only included when used with template builder. otherwise there might be styling issues we cannot control due to the complexity of the theme.

If you really want to use the slider without the template builder open the config-layerslider folder in your enfold theme folder. you will see the “LayerSlider” folder inside which is the actual layerslider wordpress plugin.

If you copy the plugin and add it to your plugin folder, then activate it the default layerslider shortcode will also be available

in reply to: Random Div causing formatting issues #124131

    Hey!

It seems this was an issue with an earlier version of the builder. i have updated your template builder to the latest version and all gaps are gone, no need for any extra settings. You should definitely update to the next version as soon as it hits themeforest, since you now got the 1.3.1 base version of the theme along with a template builder from version 1.7 :P

In one case here http://newadsend.wpengine.com/about-us/careers/ (hosted on WPengine) you had the ruler element after the section, which of course produced a whitespace of different color between the elements. In such a case you need to move the Ruler element inside the section ;)

in reply to: Mysterious white spaces between sections #122357

Hey! You are running an older verision of the theme, which might be the cause for your problem. please update to the latest version first and let us know if that helps :)

If the problem persists we might need to check your installation, but first lets do an update ;)

in reply to: Ajax Preview Window Proximity #124198

    Hey!

Currently unfortunately not possible to the way the html structure is set up. I will see what I can do but I think that this is not going to happen :/

    Best regards,

    Kriesi

Hey! Unfortunately I cant reproduce the issue localy. if you wouldnt mind removing the fix and notify me so I can take a look myself, I might come up with a permanent solution ;)

    Cheers!

in reply to: Preview Image Size #123513

Might be a little confusing because the description talks about preview images but actually means the grid images, not the ajax preview. WIll rename that and add a filter to the size, since I dont want to add yet another option to the grid element.

Lets keep it simple for the average user ;D

in reply to: Embedded Video Issue With Responsive Tabs #124672

    Hi!

found a solution for the issue, next version will include the bugfix.

Should be available during the next few days ;)

    Best regards,

    Kriesi

Hey Guys! Just worked out a solution for this. Since this is very random and seems to be connected to the fact that it only appears when a slideshow is used on the same page I am not sure if the solution I used will fix the problem for everyone.

The next update will include the bugfix (will be released during the next few days). If you still encounter any issues please open up a new thread then ;)

But for the majority of you the problem should be gone and it should work fine on all desktop browsers. As for fixed images on iOS: still havent seen a site that was able to pull this off, also the demos linked here that claim to work on iOS dont work for me…

    Hi!

Hey! I will release a dummy content update with the next version, it will include some new shop pages, ajax pages and the new slideshow ;)

in reply to: Layout Builder Image Alt & Title Tag #117532

    Hey!

I am very sorry for the problems. it seems the update was somewhat lost when synced with github. Not sure waht happend. I had to rewrite the code and will put it into the next update. it should then work as descibed.

Once again sorry for the confusion! :)

    Cheers!

in reply to: Translating search #122191

Ah yes, got it now. Seems like a problem with the truncating function of the breadcrumb navigation. Next update (version 1.7) will have a fix for that as well, assumed I am able to fix it ;)
