Yes, that’s the problem. I don’t see a layer slider either, but it’s there and it’s active. See the screenshot below.
PS The Layerslider has been active and unedited since 2013 and the page hasn’t been edited since 2013 and it just disappeared just like 35 other posts on Enfold forums. I read them all.
Thank you,
Jas
Hi Mike,
See attached screen recording below. I cleared iOS Safari cache, disabled spam blockers and this is the result. I also tested on Chrome for iOS and Firefox for iOS; those tests yielded the same result.
Thanks for your help,
Jas
Hi Mike,
It’s jumping on an iPhone XS Max and an iPhone 6. Go to item 3. Then once you are at item 3, scroll all the way up to the top of the page then all the way down. It still jumps, unfortunately,
As mentioned, this behavior is not present on a desktop browser. I tested on several. Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc. On pc Edge, IE.
The server cache has been cleared as well as my browser caches.
Thank you,
Jas
Strange all issues seemed to have disappeared. Did someone edit the site? Perhaps it was the recent WP update that resolved issues? Thank you, Jas
Update: In response to your reply below, I have changed no settings in 2 years and the errors mentioned above spontaneously occurred. This could not have been a caching issue as no changes were made to be cached on the site in several years. I cleared the server cache, I cleared the browser cache and I attempted on several different browsers.
Thank you for your help Basilis,
Jas

Here is the screenshot from Safari Version 12.1.2 (14607.3.9) for Mojave 10.14.6 (18G95).
1. Hide Form Labels is checked but they are not hiding on Chrome or Safari
2. Page Centering – The logo seems to be off-centered dramatically on Safari for Mac on Mojave. Chrome for Mac seems to be fine. I’ve never had issues in the last few years until recently.
Thank you,

Hi Mike and thanks,
Jump Behavior – The problem is, a user should be able to scroll up and down without losing their position in the list. This does not happen when using a desktop browser, it only happens when using a mobile browser. This is inconsistent and confusing behavior for the user. Jumping to the first position in the list on a mobile browser should be disabled if it is not the same on the desktop site. Is there a quickcss way to do this?
Bullets – There are no other bulleted lists. In the element, it allows me to add bullets so then I would expect to see bullets. Thank you for fixing the problem! Will the CSS you added apply when I add another list or add bullets to current lists? I’d like to have them enabled for all.
Boxes – Yes thank you. Will this also apply when I added additional boxes?
Thanks so much,
Jas

There are several problems with this very simple site. I have not edited it or touched it in a year. Spontaneously, it suddenly has issues.
Thanks,

Hi Mike,
Thanks! Two questions:
1. Will you take a look at this page on a mobile device, please. When I navigate back and forth with the arrows, and scroll up then down, it jumps around from 9 to 1 etc. It doesn’t quite work right on mobile. Desktop site is fine.
– When you try to reproduce it, just click the navigation arrows and scroll up and down in between navigating, You will see how it jumps around.2. Why’d weren’t the bullets showing up? Why were the boxes so large? Is that just how the element is?
3. I removed your CSS from CSS and put it in Quick CSS where all CSS is. The problem with the mobile devices happened before and after this move, so the move of CSS is unrelated to the issue in #1 above.
Thank you,
Jas

Hi! Thanks for the help that did the trick! Last question. Is there a way to combine these two CSS? Or should they stay separate?
@media only screen and (min-width: 1100px) { #av-layout-grid-1.av-layout-grid-container { margin-bottom: -20px; } }
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { #av-layout-grid-1 .avia-video { margin-bottom: 0 !important; } }
Thanks,
JasHi,
The grey bar still appears on the mobile site, but the grey bar also appears when resizing the window on desktop site. I understand it has to do with the dimensions of the video. The CSS helped the desktop site though, and I would like to do what I can on the mobile site as well if possible. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks

CSS?
I’ll repost so the original question isn’t lost…
Hi,
I want to wrap my head around every possibility. I’ll number for clarity:
1. Simple Image Sizes offers the same options as Regenerate Thumbnails correct? I’ve used Regenerate Thumbnails.
2. However, in the Regenerate Thumbnails description the developer of that plugin says this:
“The Site Accelerator (formerly photon) module makes the images on your site be served from WordPress.com’s global content delivery network (CDN) which should speed up the loading of images. Importantly though it can create thumbnails on the fly which means you’ll never need to use this plugin.”3. Am I understanding correctly, if I am using Site Accelerator (formerly photon), or any CDN, I could uncheck every box other than “Original image” and save an incredible amount of storage space?
– I imagine I would store the original image on my host and the other image sizes would be created “on the fly”.
– What is the best way to delete all the sizes other than the originals from my host?
– Or am I oversimplifying? What exactly is the developer suggesting and how exactly would this be implemented?Note: I am currently using Site Accelerator but have not deleted any image size files, yet.
Please feel free to give a verbose explanation of how this might function. This site has 35,000+ images.
Thank you so much
Guenni007,
I think I’m looking to understand the pros and cons of CDN’s. From what I understand, if I employ a CDN, it saves server space, decreases page load time and makes all this complication unnecessary. I’ll keep this in mind for the future though.
Thank you

Your problem may be because you need to enable the Geocoding Services API
However, the easy 30-second workaround to Google’s confusing menu system is to skip the Google route and enter the coordinates manually by searching with this tool.

If you want to mine through the Google Maps settings, find the Geocoding Service API and enable it which now seems to be disabled by default.

https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/geocodingHi Ismael,
I did not disable this API. It was disabled by default. The Google help article on this is not exact and I had to do some searching around to even find this API. It is not in the list they say it is in.
Please add this to your help article “Geocoding Services API may now be disabled by default. To enable Geocoding Services please see the Google help article. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/geocoding”
Thanks so much for your help. Issue resolved.

https://www.latlong.netThanks, close topic!
Clearly, from my description above, and the screenshot I sent you, the API was created correctly AND the key cannot be added to the Enfold Google Services. So I’ll ask the same question again with TWO NEW screenshots in the private section below.
I saved the API key this time, but the error is still present so it does not matter if it is saved or not, it does not function. There are no restrictions on this API key as stated below. PLEASE re-read the below. Thank you
Hello,
The Google Maps API key is not working
Followed your directions here closely (see Google API screenshot below)
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/I have regenerated the key and attempted again
There are no restrictions on the API
“Application restrictions: None API restrictions: None”A credit card was added to the Google account successfully and a 12-month trial has begun
We are not over our quota
Plugins were disabled, the problem persists
There are no country blocks on our website by our hosting provider.
I found a workaround just now: You will see the correct map on the page below because I manually entered the latitude and longitude GPS coordinates I found on this page http://www.gpskoordinaten.de. However, as stated above we cannot fetch coordinates for an address as the API key is not accepted in the Enfold Child Theme Options.
Would you mind checking the console messages and the functions.php to see if anything is floating around in there? I would still like the Google Map Content Element to fetch coordinates correctly on our site.
Thank you,
Jasmer
This fixed that problem, but I think this may have had an unintended effect. Here is what is supposed to happen:
1. This site has a transparent header until your scroll. Then the header changes to white.
2. On the transparent header, the menu links are white
3. When you scroll and the transparent header changes to white, the menu links change to dark grey so they can be seen
4. However, when the header is in the white stage and you hover on the menu link, the menu link changes to white (this makes it disappear). When the header is white and I hover on a menu link it should change to dark grey. (see screenshot below)
Number 4 is the only thing I want to change. 1, 2 and 3 should not change.
Thank you,
Jas
Please test hovering on links in both
It works now. Please try the credentials again.
Important – Everything on the site looks as it should. I am just wondering why the Advanced Styling for the submenu ON HOVER does not change when I change the color.
Thanks,
Jas
Hi Ismael,
The CSS you included is not manually added to Quick CSS, So, it is coming from something else. There does not seem to be conflicting CSS that was added by me.
I changed the sublevel link color on hover to #db18db and there is no change.
PS, originally the css.js compression was OFF. I turned it on only after you mentioned it. So I’m not sure why you couldn’t see what you needed to originally.
Please check it out. Thanks for your help!
Jas
I just added css/js compression features. They were not disabled by default, I’m guessing because my site was developed before these options were available?
Before we make any changes are you telling me this is redundant CSS I have manually added to quick CSS perhaps? I may have done this some time ago and don’t remember. I’d like to understand what is going on before we change anything? Should I just remove the below CSS and leave the Advanced Styling?
#top #wrap_all .av-main-nav ul > li:hover > a, #top #wrap_all .avia_mega_div, #top #wrap_all .avia_mega_div ul, #top #wrap_all .av-main-nav ul ul { color: #bbbbbb; background-color: #ffffff; }
Hi,
If I remove ithe CSS how would it work? The purpose of adding CSS is to make something work. If I remove it then what would work?
I’m not sure I understand your question. I added CSS for an effect, if I remove the CSS there will be nothing to make the effect.
Please review from the first post.
Thank you,
Jas
