  • Hey!
    Zu
    1.) Im WordPress / Dashboard / Aktualisierungen ist das Enfold NICHT als Update aufgeführt oder verfügbar. Das macht mich etwas stutzig.
    2.) Im WordPress / Enfold / Theme Update ist das Update ebenso nicht aufgeführt / verfügbar. Auch nach Eingabe von Theme Forest UserName und API Key KEIN Enfold Update verfügbar. Momentane Version 3.0.4. Das macht mich zum zweiten mal stutzig.

    Das ist eine Alterserscheinung der Enfold 3.0.4 Version. Themeforest hat vor einiger Zeit die alte Update API deaktiviert und leider unterstützen nur die aktuellen Enfold Versionen die neue API. Diese muss auch noch entsprechend neu eingerichtet werden (siehe zB https://www.egm.at/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out)(Purchase code hidden if logged out) -eintragen/ ).

    Wenn per ftp das Update nicht klappt (zB weil der Theme Ordner nicht zugänglich ist), würde ich versuchen das Theme über den WordPress Updater zu aktualisieren. Hierzu muss vorher – wie oben beschrieben – das Plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -zip-file/ installiert werden. Da WordPress die Themeforest-Dateien nicht als Theme erkennt, muss entweder die Option “Installable WordPress files only” beim Download Button (unter: https://themeforest.net/downloads ) gewählt werden (Screenshot: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/201329780/downloadButton.png ) oder man muss vorher die enfold.zip aus den Themeforest Dateien entpacken (Anleitung: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821510 ).

    Wenn Du Dir nicht sicher bist, ob Code-Anpassungen vorgenommen wurden, empfehle ich das Vaultpress Plugin: https://vaultpress.com zu installieren und einzurichten. Damit kannst Du bequem vor dem Update Backups der Dateien und der Datenbank erstellen und bei Problemen jederzeit die ursprüngliche Website wiederherstellen.

    Leider ist es aber sehr schwer im Nachhinein Änderungen von Dritten nachzuvollziehen, insbesondere wenn diese nicht “lege artis” mit Child Theme, filter/action hooks, usw. durchgeführt wurden und lediglich “hardcoded” irgendwo im Theme Code verstreut sind. Wenn dann noch unterschiedliche DBs angelegt oder undokumentiert DBs versioniert wurden, wird es noch unübersichtlicher.

    Ich würde daher empfehlen zuerst ein VaultPress Backup zu machen, dann die Theme, WordPress und Plugin Updates einzuspielen und einmal das Ergebnis zu checken. Wenn es so passt (bzw. man es über die Theme/Plugin Einstellungen passend machen kann), hat man schon ein gutes Grundgerüst. Wenn nicht, muss mit VaultPress das Backup wiederhergestellt werden und evaluieren, wie man weiter vorgeht (Website neu aufsetzen vs. versuchen die Änderungen nachzuvollziehen).

    Peter

    Hi Alex,
    Eine Anleitung wie Du Enfold per FTP aktualisieren kannst findest Du hier: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/#update-via-ftp

    Wenn Du nur per WordPress Updater aktualisieren möchtest, empfehle ich dieses Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -zip-file/ zu verwenden. Es muss einfach installiert und aktiviert werden, dann kannst du unter Design > Themes > Schaltfläche “Hinzufügen” die aktuelle enfold.zip-Datei hochladen. Wichtig hierbei ist aber, dass Du NUR die Theme-Zip-Datei lädst (enfold.zip) und nicht die gesamte Themeforest/Envato-Zip-Datei, welche auch andere Dateien (zB PSD-Dateien, usw.) enthält.

    Falls das Theme-Update das Editor-Problem nicht löst, kann es auch ein Hoster/Server-Problem sein. Ein Kunde von mir (aus Deutschland) hostet seine Seite bspw. auf Cloudfront/AWS und hatte genau dasselbe Problem beim “visuellen” Editor. Die Lösung war, dass Cloudfront Header setzt, die standardmäßig nicht von WordPress gesetzt werden (siehe: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -only-shows-html/page/2/#post-11014978 und https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -only-shows-html/page/3/#post-11032983). Die Lösung war letztlich in die Child Theme functions.php folgenden PHP-Code einzufügen:

    function richedit_wp_cloudfront () {
       add_filter('user_can_richedit','__return_true');
    }
    add_action( 'init', 'richedit_wp_cloudfront', 9 );

    – danach funktionierte der Editor wieder wie gewohnt :)

    Grundsätzlich nehmen Günter und ich Aufträge an, wobei der Stundensatz je nach Projekt vereinbart wird. Da wir beide sehr ausgelastet sind, können wir leider nur bedingt Aufträge annehmen und entscheiden daher immer je nach Projekt, ob es für uns interessant ist oder nicht. Bei Interesse sende uns bitte eine E-Mail über unser Kontaktformular: https://inoplugs.com/contact/ samt Details zur Website, der gewünschten Änderungen, usw. und wir sehen uns die Sache näher an.

    Beste Grüße,

    Hi,

    Stelle bitte auch sicher, dass die aktuellsten Sensei Templates installiert sind. Diese findest Du unter https://inoplugs.com/wp-content/uploads/sensei.zip – einfach entpacken und in den Theme Ordner (enfold-child oder enfold) kopieren.

    in reply to: Enfold vs. Woocommerce Sensei #1029460

    Hi,

    Ich konnte im Changelog keine grundlegenden Änderungen entdecken ( https://github.com/Automattic/sensei/blob/master/changelog.txt ), aber vielleicht übersehe ich etwas.

    Bitte aktualisiere Enfold auf 4.5 (sofern dies nicht bereits geschehen ist) und gehe zu Enfold > Theme Options > Performance (Leistung). Dort stelle die Einstellung “Self hosted videos and audio features (WP-Mediaelement scripts)” auf “Always load media features (= WP default behaviour)”.

    Wenn Sensei dann noch immer nicht richtig funktionieren sollte, schicke mir bitte einen Link zu einer Seite wo der Fehler auftritt und ich sehe mir die Templates an.

    Hey!

    Having the filter means we can set it false when the Beaver Builder is open, when will a new version of that filter be released?

    Yes! The next theme update will introduce the avf_enqueue_wp_mediaelement filter and you can use it to enqueue (or deactivate) the script manually. I’ll also ask the framework developer to add an option to the admin panel.

    Further testing revealed that the condition was always TRUE for the following code, does not matter what is enabled in the admin area, thats why I had to overide the enqueue function.

    Normally the condition should only return true if the “Disable self hosted video and audio features” theme setting is not activated/checked (Enfold > Theme Options > Performance) or the av_video_assets_required function (defined in enfold\includes\helper-assets.php) doesn’t find a media shortcode in the post/page content. I’ll debug the code and check all possible cases.

    Regards,
    Peter

    in reply to: Latest Enfold breaks Beaver Builder. #1017978

    Hey Simon,

    The media script is deactivated by default since Enfold 4.4.x (to increase the loading performance). The user can add this code to the child theme functions.php:

    add_filter( 'avf_enqueue_wp_mediaelement', 'avia_always_load_mediaelement', 10, 2);
    function avia_always_load_mediaelement($condition, $options)
    {
    	$condition = true;
    	return $condition;
    }

    to load the media script by default (also see: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -style-wp-mediaelement/ ).

    At the moment the user also needs to modify the functions.php of the parent theme – the customization won’t be necessary with the next theme update (will be released next week; also see: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -after-latest-update/#post-993991 ). The user needs to replace this code in enfold/functions.php

    $condition  = !( isset($options['disable_mediaelement']) && $options['disable_mediaelement'] == "disable_mediaelement" ) && av_video_assets_required();

    with

    $condition  = !( isset($options['disable_mediaelement']) && $options['disable_mediaelement'] == "disable_mediaelement" ) && av_video_assets_required();
    $condition = apply_filters( 'avf_enqueue_wp_mediaelement', $condition, $options );

    Hi,

    Personally I fully agree with Guenni – Pagespeed is just a tool which gives you hints but chasing a certain grade is a waste of time (see https://wp-rocket.me/blog/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -insights/ ). That said you can try to remove the wordpress emoji script (Enfold > Performance settings) because it’s loaded in the head section and considered as “above-the-fold content”. The jquery script is also not loaded in the footer section but the reason could be one or more plugins require it in the head area. One script ( https://yourwebsite.com/js/index.js ) is included in the website source code but doesn’t even exist (gives me a 404 error). You can remove the reference to this script.

    The other “errors” can’t be fixed easily. You would need to “extract” the critical css code from the stylesheets and include it as inline styles. You can use a service like https://criticalcss.com/ for this task.

    in reply to: Please contribute and translate Enfold #1016730

    Hi,

    I generated a .po file with the “Loco translate” plugin which should also work with Poedit. You can download the po file here: https://ufile.io/8oux8

    It’s not possible to identify/separate the backend from the frontend expressions because all expressions are assigned to the “avia_framework” textdomain at the moment.

    Hey Andreas Waibel,

    I get the error

    in reply to: Social Icons #1016626

    Hey Daniele1989,

    Go to Enfold > Theme Options > Social Profiles and add a skype social icon to your icons. Then click into the social icon url field and insert:

    skype:+1234567890?call

    The optional flag is call – to force Skype to call. Also you can use this method that is more universal:

    callto://+1234567890

    or:

    tel://+1234567890

    You need to replace 1234567890 with your phone number. You can also link to a skype username with

    skype:username?call

    and replace username with the skype username.

    Hi,

    You need to add it when the post type is registered (see https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_post_type – “supports” parameter). If you want to add custom fields support to portfolio items you can add this code to your child theme functions.php:

    add_filter('avf_portfolio_cpt_args', 'avf_portfolio_cpt_args_mod');
    function avf_portfolio_cpt_args_mod($args) {
    	$args['supports'][] = 'custom-fields';
    	return $args;
    }

    in reply to: Error with Lightbox using Next Gen Gallery #1016550

    Hi,

    Please add the code to functions.php (at the very bottom) and not functions-enfold.php. I’d recommend to use a child theme ( http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ ) and to add the code to the child theme functions.php.

    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hey Thomas,

    To customize/trasnslate the error messages add the below code in your functions.php by going to appearance > Editor > functions.php and replace the sentences after the equal signs ( = ) with your custom text. Make sure to add quotes before and after your text (like in the sample code below).

    Please use a child theme so your changes remain intact when you update the main theme ( http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ ).

    add_filter('avf_mailchimp_messages', 'avf_mailchimp_messages_mod', 10, 1);
    function avf_mailchimp_messages_mod($message) {
        $message['email'] = 'Please provide a valid email address.';
        $message['all'] = 'Please fill in all required fields.';
        $message['already'] 'This email address is already subscribed, thank you!';
        $message['general'] = 'We are very sorry but something went wrong. Please try again later.';
        $message['invalid_field'] = 'Please make sure that your fields are filled in correctly';

        return $message;
    }

    Hey!

    Please open up enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/codeblock.php (you can use the wordpress code editor – Appearance > Editor) and delete the entire code in the file. Then copy the code from here: https://pastebin.com/raw/6UgNAdLx into the file and save it. Afterwards please check if the new code fixed the footer issue or not.
