Thank you for the additional check :)
July 12, 2013 at 12:04 am in reply to: Description Column in Tables Not Displaying on iPhone #126773Go ahead and remove the initial one and see if that does it. If not, link us directly to the page again with what you have live.
Hey cyoniq,
Thank you for the step-by-step. I was able to get the same issue so Kriesi should be able to as well and find a fix.

Devin
Glad Peter could help :)

Hi odac25thka,
That exact effect is happening for me when I visit the site so not sure what the issue is.

Really nice and clean jo :)
Hi DavyE,
If you aren’t familiar with php you will probably want to have a freelance developer add this kind of thing in. This is the gist of what you would be doing: http://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Fields
So you would modify the includes>loop-portfolio-single.php file to output your custom fields wherever you wanted them to appear.

Devin
Can you make a video of what you are doing when trying to add in an image using http://www.screenr.com/ ? Maybe there is just a key step we are missing in the explanation.

Devin
July 11, 2013 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Magic wand does not show shortcodes for columns when editing tabs #129174Hi colorit2,
Not all of the elements or areas support the other shortcodes. You can *try* creating your column layout in a regular visual editor with the shortcodes and then pasting it into a tab area but right now it isn’t supported so it has not been tested.

Devin
Hi tonaua,
We are unable to provide support on third party plugins or code. You’ll need to check with the plugin/code author for how to implement it into your site.

Devin
Great! Looks like you both have things working now :)
@ spinner – Do you know what your ISP changed or fixed for you? Would be nice to know what server settings may have such a negative effect on the theme.
Regards,
Devin
Hi CooperDevon,
If you are unable to send email from either the themes form or from another plugin, there may be an issue with your server configuration for outgoing mail.
Try contacting your hosting provider to see if they have any issues with the php mail function, wordpress’ own mail function or any kind of anti spam settings in place to prevent outgoing mail from addresses that aren’t based from the sending domain.
Also make sure you are on Enfold version 1.7.1 as there was some bug fixes released with that version as well.
Regards,
Devin
Hopefully the suggestions from formateins help. So far its been a small percentage of users who are encountering these kinds of issues but as formateins has so helpfully found out, there are some wordpress configurations and server tweaks that make the theme work a bit more smoothly :)
Glad we could help :)

Take a look at the video tutorial in this topic for using Firebug to identify and modify css: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fyi-firebug-tutorial-for-wordpress-users
That will help you with picking out specific classes and changing font, colors, weight, padding etc.

That make sense actually. The initial iPad release isn’t quite as robust as even most smartphones are today with its hardware so a layerslider with multiple slides plus a couple of other items that use javascript would probably cause issues all piled up together.
Hi phangmoh,
Can we see what you have no live? Or at least the shortcode(s) you’ve used?
Regards,
Devin
Hi All,
Just checked on my iPad and it does appear but not until you’ve scrolled down a bit on any given page. So scroll down and it should then show up.
Test on my live demo site, personal site and the Enfold demo.

Devin
July 11, 2013 at 2:13 pm in reply to: Some post links not working / Random changes to existing permalinks #128925Hi crashtestmummy,
Permalinks with wordpress are kind of quirky. Sometimes they just need a refresh but other times its a bit more in depth. Check out the codex on troubleshooting tips and see if any of them help http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Fixing_Permalink_Problems

Hi holsten76,
No, the options within the theme options are saved to the theme name in the wordpress options table. So as long as the theme name stays the same the options are unaltered.
The only thing that would be lost when you update are changes you make to the actual theme files.

Devin
July 11, 2013 at 1:44 pm in reply to: How to add a red retangle to the left of a quotation to help it stand out? #128893Hi Mkieling,
You just need to make the text a blockquote with the wordpress visual editor. Select the button for it in the visual editor or select the text and hit Alt+Shift+Q.

Hi satucker,
Try removing blog post element from that page, saving, and then re-add it in. Then just double check that you only have the single blog category selected.

Hi henryd,
If we can see the site live we can assist with some css changes. There are also some pre done media queries in your custom.css file which you can make use of to have the css above only effect tablet sizes but in general what the change *should* be doing is switching your responsive menu in earlier so the padding hack isn’t needed.

July 11, 2013 at 2:02 am in reply to: Installation issue (FTP – followed video and now can't get to my dashboard) #128975Try doing them folder by folder. You may also need to go into Edit>Settings then go to Transfers and where you have the option for maximum simultaneous transfers change that to 1. I’ve worked with a few servers who have issues with multiple transfers over ftp at the same time and this while being slower makes for less failed transfers and disconnects.
Hi joe88,
All feature requests go in the feature request topic right now so that Kriesi can easily look through them.
As Peter said however right now it would break the tabs so it would need to be implemented as a feature addition.
Regards,
Devin
It may look a little daunting but if you break it down its pretty straightforward. The initial background gets set with the rgba value (a=transparency amount). Then the filter fixes it for IE.
Try and take it one line at a time and save during each change.
Regards,
Devin
Hi fonterra,
In that case just insert the line/HR element. You can make it purely white space and repeat as needed.
Regards,
Devin
Trial and error is probably the best way to really get it if the description and explanations above aren’t doing it. The effect can be achieve with either a transparent background on your icons or a colored background its just up to you which you want to do.
If you are still having issues just link us to the page with what you have now and we’ll see if we can help.

Hi xrisxal2000,
You should *never* modify the dynamic_avia file yourself via ftp. That file is what the theme modifies. So each time you do something in the styling tab it will re-write that file.
All your own css should be added to the Quick CSS field or the custom.css file in your css folder.
I’m not getting your second issue but I suspect its linked with the first since you should not ever be modifying the file you had been manually.
The http:// in the testimonial needs to be deleted from that field when you edit the testimonial. Just scroll down in that window.
Regards,
Devin
