Hi wcolwell,
The themes built in Layer Slider version does not work with the layer slider shortcodes or with the layer slider widget.
You need to use the Advanced Layout Editor view to add in the layer slider element where you want it to appear.

July 23, 2013 at 3:04 am in reply to: Issues with pagination and the naming of portfolio pages #130830Hi Dave,
Slug names with WordPress are very sensitive and you can *not* have any duplicates for a slug you use anywhere on the site in any form for any other slug (permalink).
So if you change it to “portfolio” and have a “portfolio” page the whole thing wont work.
As for pagination, there is no way to dynamically re-name each page that gets generated as a paged result.

Devin
Hi frederikbf1,
I’ve moved this over to the Enfold forum since it was in the General Questions section.
There isn’t an option at the moment to add nofollow to any individual button so unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do to help on that at the moment.
For the post editing issues, I’m not sure why that would happen but if you have any active plugins try disabling them to make sure there isn’t a conflict there.

Devin
Hi adworks,
Whats happening is that the theme uses the pseudo-element :before to add in the heading to the element so that the table doesn’t completely fall apart on mobile devices or cause the user to need to scroll over.
If you wanted to use a regular table that does do that, you can just add that in to the Text tab instead of using the table element from the theme.

Devin
Hi Brendon,
You should use the shortcode button (magic wand) and select the Media Element>Gallery to easily add in your image and choose the image sizing options you want.

Devin
Hi DigitalMedia,
First thing to check is the top right hand corner of the screen “Screen Options”. Click it and then click the checkbox for Advanced Layout Editor.

Hi palaber,
Your best route would be to contact the plugin author and see if they are able to look at your installation live. Without having programmed the plugin ourselves its hard to know what its doing, how its saving data or really what the conflict could be.
The author should be able to at least direct you towards what the issue could be. If its fixable on our end we will definitely do so.

Devin
Hi SuellenH,
Each portfolio item allows you to set its single page contents however you want. So for each portfolio item you just add in a 2/3 column element and a 1/3 column element. Then add the slideshow element into the 2/3 column, populate it with your images and do the same for the text content in the 1/3 with a text element or whatever you want.
Then you create a new page to hold the portfolio grid and add that element to the layout.
All of this is done using the Advanced Layout Editor: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927358

Hi Marshall,
You could actually just use:
.template-blog .post_delimiter {
border-bottom: 1px solid #333;
}and adjust as needed.
As for the numbered posts I’m not sure. There could have been an error with a post attachment or something like that. I’ve seen it one other time before but can’t quite recall what the issue was. If it doesn’t get cleared up try using a different widget for reset posts (lots of very light plugins that will give you the same thing with an added feature here and there.
Regards,
Devin
Hi WardenCliff,
Unfortunately with wordpress there is no global reset on theme options except for deleting the database data for that specific theme. So you could re-install your wordpress database over again or just delete all your pages, posts, images, menu items and at that point re-importing the dummy data would be a somewhat soft reset.
Make sure that when you delete your posts and pages that you also clear your pages trash so that you don’t get blog-2, somepage-2 for the url pretty permalink names.

Devin
Hi skosmer,
The theme preview doesn’t use any custom css for the widget colors. Its all based on the options from the preset color scheme in the Styling tab of the theme options for each style.
You could use the following however if you wanted to adjust them individually:
.newsbox .widgettitle {
color: #333;
}
.main_color .newsbox .news-headline {
color: #333;
}
.main_color .newsbox .news-time {
color: #333;
}Regards,
Devin
Hi bdaily,
What exactly isn’t showing with the widget? Have you tried duplicating the exact data that Nick does in the video to see if that works?
If you have any active plugins you can also try disabling them to make sure none are causing a conflict with the theme.

Devin
Hi andreanapier1985,
I’ve never actually run across anything to change the default stacking order for wordpress. Looking through the codex entries for sidebars and register_sidebar didn’t really mention anything either.
You could try checking the general wordpress support forums or maybe stack exchange.

July 22, 2013 at 10:03 pm in reply to: margin or padding for all contents including the header, title, and sliders #129370Ismael is tagged on the topic for easy reference so hopefully he can point you in the right direction. The main thing is you’ll need to be able to pick out and target each class you want to modify on your own since there are so so many that will need to be changed.
A good starting point is watching this video on using Firebug: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fyi-firebug-tutorial-for-wordpress-users

Hi Andy,
While the LayerSlider plugin is integrated it isn’t the same version that is by itself as a plugin.
As far as I know the included version doesn’t have a widget or support for it at the moment. So if you are seeing the plugin in your list of plugins it means you have or had the plugin previously installed (different from the theme version).
Because the theme already uses a modified version however, you wouldn’t be able to activate the plugin by itself.

Devin
Hi Kevin,
Can we take a look at your site live? Are you getting the same thing on the demo site: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/
The icon is generated from a font file which has full Safari, Chrome and FF support so there definitely shouldn’t be any issue.
Regards,
Devin
Hi eursache,
The two themes use a completely different system for the icons and right now there isn’t an easy way to use your own. Its planned as a future feature but will be a while before its implemented.
Regards,
Devin
We don’t have private posts or support available but you can use things like http://goo.gl/ to hide URLs and make them temporary.
What it sounds like is that the menu you have is a bit wider than typical or has more items but doesn’t meet the default number to switch the menu at a higher resolution width.
Seeing the site live and inspecting what you have exactly is the best route to find a solution.
Regards,
Devin
For right now the coding behind the color sections requires the content to be full width to work properly.
The tabs have a default text requirement as well to prevent any issues with the tab selection breaking. Unfortunately there are some limitations with elements to keep everything working without issue.
The grid requires an image to be set right now in order to show properly. Otherwise the element wont display correctly.
So for right now no, there isn’t an option to display an icon instead since it was built with a image based visual navigation in mind.
Hi Benjamin,
We’ll need to see the site live to give accurate css that will remove the border for you.
Regards,
Devin
You can try:
#top #header .avia_mega_div .sub-menu {
background: #999;
}
#top #header .avia_mega_div .sub-menu .sub-menu li a{
background: transparent !important; /*remove the background of the sub menu links*/
}The table inline style will get overwritten by the theme. You need to give it the class I mentioned above in addition to the css.
Hi stunna42,
The issue is that the plugin/code isn’t able to output correctly because of a combination of generic class names and inconsistent coding.
Your best route if you want to do something like this would be to either use the Text tab and only input your html/code into that and never switching over to the visual editor or making custom page templates that you can then use to output a form like this in place of or before the normal content.
See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Page_Templates

Hi Antonio,
If the Advanced Layout Editor isn’t showing after following the steps then the steps were done incorrectly. Unfortunately its that or there is a plugin or something else at work outside of the default theme files.
It isn’t enabled by default and Kriesi has no plans to do so that I know of for the moment since posts are not designed to be used with the full builder support but are more strictly set to be ‘blog posts’.
So if it isn’t working on posts after following the video by Nick you would need to look into having a freelance developer debug what went wrong or add it in for you following the video guide.

Devin
Glad Ismael could help :)

Hi Thomas,
The way that Quform adds in the code for the various forms unfortunately doesn’t work well with the theme. Instead of pulling in an outside javascript file through wordpress it embeds the code directly where the form is which leads to errors wihen used with the advanced layout editor.
I’ll tag Peter and Kriesi on the topic and maybe they can reach out to the author of the plugin to see about better integration or adding theme support for it like we did with Gravity Forms.
Regards,
Devin
If its already on your server it wont be removed when you copy over the 1.8 update. Version 1.8.1 does re-add it into the theme files however.
July 19, 2013 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Change default blog title on multiple pages containing 'Blog Post' Element #130360Hi jeeves,
Add following code to the bottom of functions.php:
add_filter('avf_title_args', 'fix_single_post_title', 10, 2);
function fix_single_post_title($args,$id)
{
if ( $args['title'] == 'Blog - Latest News' )
{
$args['title'] = get_the_title($id);
$args['link'] = get_permalink($id);
}
return $args;
}This will replace the “Blog – Latest News” with the page title.

Devin
Hi Tim,
Color sections are always full width as are Layersliders. Everything else will adapt to fit inside a column (which is required to format most elements to the grid).
The description on the socket menu explains it but no, it isn’t able to have any sub menus to it.

Devin
